‘Why can’t you sense me?’ Liara wondered and squealed when someone tapped his hand on her shoulder, but the next moment, a big hand was on her mouth so that she wouldn’t end up making noise. Liara was so engrossed in Tiara that she didn’t see this stranger coming toward her. And he wasn’t a human but a werewolf.

Liara threw a punch at him and pushed him away. She would have kicked his ass until he heard, “Lee?”

She quickly stopped himself from throwing another punch at him because not everyone calls her ‘Lee.’

“Who are you?” She questioned.

“It’s me, Wylder. Wylder Miller.” The person spoke. Liara eye’s widened at that name. “Come in light.” He said and grabbed her wrist before bringing her to a place where there was some light. Liara didn’t miss how the humans nodded their heads, looking at Wylder. Liara pulled her wrist from his grip and watched him carefully. It had been years since she had seen him, so she observed him carefully.

Wylder Miller, The adopted son of her Aunt Eden and Aunt Arya. He was eight when both her aunts adopted him. Expect from this, Liara didn’t know much about him.

Liara observed the tall man in front of her. There was a time they were of the same height. After all, they were of the same age.

“You’re so small.” He said, looking at her and pinching her cheeks, “And cute, just like Aunt Sophia.”

“You’re here?” Liara questioned. “Does Aunt Eden and Aunt Arya know about it?” She threw another question at him. Immediately his face darkened as if she had touched the wrong topic. But Liara didn’t think she did anything wrong by asking that question.

“They don’t need to know about it.” Wlyder replied before adding, “And this is the last time I came to see Ara.” He said. Liara didn’t say anything about that because she knew that Wlyder had been in love with Tiara all his life. Hell, he wished never to find his own fated mate because he wanted Tiara, but Tiara always treated him as a FRIEND or said FRIENDS with benefit. Nothing more than that.

“You always say that, ‘This is the last time.’” Liara pointed out, shaking her head. “What is it? Seventeen years? You’ve been in love with Tiara for seventeen years, and everything she hurts you, you tell yourself that ‘This is the last time.’”

“No!!” Wylder shook his head. “The history won’t repeat now. This is full and final because I realized that she could never love me. She is still in love with her ex-mate, and when she saw read the news of you and Theodore Wayne in the morning. She decided to break up AGAIN.” Liara didn’t know what to say about this. She could sense her pain. Everyone around was in pain. Lucky were those who were blessed by the love of those people whom they loved. Because one-sided love wasn’t only torturous to the one doing it, it was also painful for the one on the receiving end.

“A part of me wanted to scold Ara that she is wasting her time in loving someone who doesn’t love her back, but I’m doing the same, ain’t I? Wylder chuckled. “So, I have finally decided that I will focus all my time on my pack now and stay away from Ara. This is the last time I came here to see her and to say her Goodbye.”

“So, did you say her goodbye?” Liara asked in a low tone.

“Nope. I think I won’t be able to do that. So, I’m leaving without saying Goodbye.” Wlyder muttered before requesting, “Please don’t tell her that I was here.”

“But she can sense that, can’t she?”

“Don’t you know?”

“Know what?”

“That Dora isn’t responding to her from the night… you know… your mate, I mean her mate rejected her.” Wlyder revealed, widening Liara’s eyes. “She is there somewhere. One can sense that she is a werewolf, but Dora shuts herself in the back of Ara’a mind because of the unbearable pain, the pain of losing her mate.”

Liara recalled the curse that she had given to Tiara, ‘You will end up losing your beauty, your fame, and everything you love.’

Tiara had already lost her mate, her pup, and her wolf. What else was remaining to lose? Parents? Fame and Beauty?

“By the way, congratulation on your success!!” Wlyder said and gave her a side hug before walking from there. Liara watched him leave and then looked at Tiara, who was busy with work.

‘I don’t know when I will be Moon Goddess on duty, but if I become one. I will pair them.’ Destiny muttered.

‘And what if this pairing will bring more pain in their life?’ Liara questioned. ‘If they are meant to be together, then Destiny will have its own plan.’

‘You mean my plan, right?’ Destiny joked, to which Liara chuckled.

“Lee, is that you?” Liara turned around and found Tiara standing there, looking at her. “Oh, my god.” Tiara squealed and ran toward Liara, only to hug her tightly.
