He wanted to speak a lot of things to her but failed. He wanted to apologize to her for insulting her mate by calling him a thief but failed.
There were so many things left unsaid between them.
“A word. ALONE.”
“I don’t want to talk with you,” Brandon said and started leaving when Theodore grabbed his neck from the back and used his vampire speed to disappear from there without anyone catching them. Alaric and Artemis sensed Theodore’s vampire scent around and wondered why he would be using it as he had been using his Lycan’s scent before.
Theodore pushed Brandon against the tree, bringing him somewhere where he could hit Brandon. Brandon turned around to growl at him but bringing him here, but he received a tight punch in his face from Theodore.
“This is for hurting my mate.”
Brandon’s wolf, Stark, growled in his mind, ready to hit Theodore back, but Brandon controlled him, reminding him that if Theodore would feel any pain, then Liara would sense that too and if that happened, then things might get turn awful between them.
Theodore attacked him again, but Brandon blocked him and pushed him away. He couldn’t hurt Theodore; that didn’t mean he would take punches from him. His own Alpha aura rolled around Theodore when Stark took charge.
“Stop hurting her again and again. It hurts her when you look down at her just because she chose me. She cries silently because of your rude behavior toward her, and my heart bleeds every time when I see a tear in her eyes.”
“I had thought that tonight… tonight everything will be alright between you two. That’s why I had planned a surprise for her, but I was so wrong. And after today’s incident, I will make sure that you two never see each other again if the result is going to be like this.” Brandon’s jaw tightened upon hearing this. Who the hell was he to decide that they would never see each other again?
“Do you really think you can do that?”
“To stop my love’s tears, I can kill and die too!! So, if you will be dead, then she won't cry again and again, will she?” With that, Theodore attacked again with full force, really to break all his teeth if possible. He punched him across his face. Brandon felt one of his teeth break inside because of that punch, but he didn’t punch Theodore back.
This time even Stark didn’t block Theodore's punch realizing that his stupid human had indeed hurt their pup more than it required. So, Stark let Brandon deserve the pain that he gave to Liara. Along with that, Brandon didn’t miss noticing how much Theodore loved his daughter.
“Dad!! Beasttyy!!” Both Alaric and Artemis reached that place.
“Have you lost your mind? Why did you raise your hand at him?” Alaric yelled at Theodore, taking him away from Brandon. As much as he knew Liara, she wouldn’t take this news well.
“Dad? Dad, Are you all right?” Artemis checked on Brandon, who was bleeding from his mouth. It was obvious that Brandon took the punch because he wanted to; otherwise, he couldn’t have gotten hurt till early. “What the hell were you thinking, Theodore?” Artemis growled. “If Lee gets to know about this incident that she will reject you for raising your hand to her father. No matter what, you have no right to do this.” Theodore didn’t say anything about that because he knew Artemis was right, Liara wasn’t among those stupid she-wolves who would always choose mate bond over everything. Her first love was her father, and he was well aware of that.
Theodore ran away from there in anger. Now there were two reasons why his love could leave him.
Great. Just great.
“I’m sorry on his behalf, sir.” Alaric apologized to Brandon. “Please don’t tell about it to Liara. Please, I request you.” He said before running behind Theodore.
“Dad?”
“I’m not going to do anything because of which Lee’s happiness gets spoiled,” Brandon muttered. He wasn’t that heartless, not after knowing that Theodore loved her for her. He didn’t give a damn about the part whose daughter or whose cousin Liara was!! Hell, Theodore raised his hand to that person who could ruin his happy relationship if he wanted to, but still, Theodore hit him without caring about its consequences.
