Chapter 227: Chapter 227
No matter what kind of people they were but everyone wanted to live long. And this wouldn’t be possible if Ambrose Wayne would leave there; he always tried to protect everyone’s family even though they tried to stab back at him later, but after Theodore’s arrival, this was almost impossible for anyone to even touch Ambrose. He started helping Ambrose in fulfilling his dreams to form this place a pack just like he himself wanted.
“There you’re,” Ambrose said the moment his eyes landed on the couple. Most of them had started whispering that both Theodore and Liara had disappeared after showing a dream of giving them a new world and many more fake promises.
“Sorry, Uncle Ambrose. We got late.” Liara apologized the moment she arrived. “He got busy discussing some work.” She said, blaming Theodore, who rolled his eyes. He wondered what was even the reason to explain all these things to Ambrose!!
“It’s okay,” Ambrose muttered reluctantly, not knowing how to react to her words. It wasn’t that he was going to scold them or ask them. But a part of him was glad that someone was giving him importance by informing even little things about themselves.
“Open the gate near the new Black Council,” Theodore said to Liara’s ring on which she arched her eyebrow. It looked like Theodore was using her ring to its fullest.
‘There are pups with them who can’t shift, and that’s why I’m using the ring, or I will have made all these fuckers run on their paws.’ Theodore mind linked with her, knowing what she was thinking.
‘I didn’t say anything.’
‘You don’t have to because I can read you like an open book.’
In the next second, a gate opened in front of them.
“Why are we using this fucking gate to travel? We want to know the route of that place.” Ethan growled.
“This place is three days away from here. If you can travel with your pup, then go ahead.” Theodore said and walked inside the gate, but Liara didn’t follow him. If he walked in to show that there wasn’t any danger at that place, then she stayed back to ensure that everyone would be accompanying them.
“Why is your mate not with you? Are you keeping our life at risk by taking us there but not her?” Ethan questioned again. Liara really wanted to hit her head on the wall. She wondered how anyone could take all the things in a negative way.
‘Not everyone can understand your good intention, Lia.’ Theodore mind linked when Liara followed Theodore.
‘One day! One day, everyone’s mentality will change. Give them some time.’ Liara spoke positively and watched one by one everyone crossing the gate. Once the gate was closed, everyone looked around the place where they were!!
It was all covered with fog, and they could hear the sound of water flowing down the place, so a river was nearby. Even a werewolf's eyes could see things clearly.
“Everyone hold each other’s hand or follow my footsteps,” Theodore said, and by doing this, they reached a mountain. No one still could see a thing.
“Is this that fucking place?” Ethan growled again. Liara had to hold Theodore’s arm so that he wouldn’t end up breaking Ethan’s neck.
All of a sudden, Theodore removed a big rock below the mountain, and a scanner popped up, which not everyone could identify. It scanned Theodore’s eye before a door opened in the mountain, shocking Liara and everyone. She could already guess who would have designed all this.
One by one, everyone moved and went inside. Liara found multiple security equipment all over the area, cameras, alarm systems, scanners, x-ray machines, and much more.
‘Does anyone even know how to handle this security system?’
‘Yes!! Chris and his friends. I made sure that he would learn all this in the prior basic.’ Theodore replied. Once everyone was inside, Theodore closed the door and guided everyone to walk straight.
Everyone took time to absorb everything around them. It looked like there were walking in the long passage made under the mountain.
After a good amount of time, their mouth opened in awe. It was such a wonderful place, surrounded by mountains and forest; even the river was around, but not everyone could see it. There was a very big open field and at the corner of that was a house.
“Everyone now can settle under the tree. One tree per family so doesn’t start any fight for it.” Ambrose commanded before adding, “But remember, tonight is the blood oath ceremony.” He reminded again. It was one of the ways to communicate. So that everyone in the Council could mind link with one another and also accept Ambrose as their leader.
‘Finally!! The first step toward becoming a pack.’ Liara thought with happiness.
A couple of faces looked displeased, but nothing came for free. Shelter, food, security, and a better future were the promises something that Ambrose was going to fulfill for those who wanted to change their lifestyle, and those who were planning to ruin all this had to act loyal even though they weren’t.
