Everyone knew that the king was half Lycan and half demon, and controlling the fires and using that to his benefit was one of his demon powers. But one of his weaknesses was that he was blind, so he also ended up trapping Mateo in the fire, who didn’t get a chance to change position.
He howled for help when the fire around him increased while the other wolves that came with Steve fought with the vampire, who was fighting individually.
‘Wait, I’m coming.’ Liara mind linked him, ready to jump in the fire; when a big wolf with white paws and tails blocked her path, Liara recognized her; she was Eleanor, Steve’s mate.
‘Let me handle that. His fire doesn’t harm me.’ She said through the mind link. The moment Liara felt like winning this, a lot of vampires popped out again.
Liara fought with the vampire along with Grandma Odette, making sure that she didn’t end up getting attacked, as she could sense that Grandma was already tired from the continuous fight.
‘Grandma!!’ Her mind linked her when Odette Wayne fell unconscious in her wolf form and then shifted into her human form. ‘Grandma!!’ She cried painfully when Odette’s heart stopped beating inside her chest.
All of a sudden, everyone looked at Liara. It wasn’t that she howled in her wolf form, but it was because she could mind link each and every one of them at the same time.
Steve looked in the direction of Liara, sensing her smell, wondering how Liara could mind link everyone. And did she just mind link the werewolves present there OR all the werewolves present all over the world? But soon, his doubt got clear when Rebecca Weasley, his mother mind, linked him.
‘Son, I heard someone calling ‘Grandma.’ I find that voice familiar. Who is that?’ She asked, confirming Steve’s doubt. Rebecca wasn’t there in the fight; even then, she heard Liara’s voice.
Liara shifted back into human form and held Odette’s body close to her, trying to heal her, but it wasn’t working at all.
‘She died a natural death, Liara, like the warrior that she was.’ Rowan mind linked to Liara while fighting with the vampire. But it didn’t help her; she couldn’t help but sob, blaming herself for her death.
She looked at the vampires around and fumed in anger. She was ready to burn everyone alive who wasn’t stopping to attack. Steve was killing them, sensing their body temperature one by one mercilessly.
All of a sudden, each and every vampire started burning in fire. But it wasn’t Steve’s work.
‘Do I have the power to burn someone in the fire as well?’
That was when Liara looked up and saw Caroline flying in the air, using her power to steal someone’s else power. She was using Steve’s power to burn everyone into ash, making sure that innocent one wouldn’t get hurt.
Once, all the vampires were killed at that place. Both Steve and Caroline disappeared in the other direction to help others.
Eleanor shifted and reached near Liara to console her. “Hey!!”
“She died because of me.” Liara sobbed like a baby.
“We both know that’s not true. It was her choice to stay because pussy like them ran away from the field before we arrived.” Eleanor taunted Ethan’s group while looking at Liara.
Ethan’s jaws tightened, but he didn’t dare to say a word to the Queen because he didn’t want to burn into the fire by the king. At the same time, none of them had ever thought that the King and Queen themselves would appear there to join the war.
“Now, stop blaming yourself!!” Eleanor said, wiping Liara’s tears. She nodded her head and heard the sound of a lot of paws and footsteps. Liara shifted back into her wolf form because she couldn’t stand staying naked in front of so many people, and no one had a habit of keeping clothes in this area.
Eleanor chuckled at her shy behavior before mind-linking her, ‘Do you know that you were able to mind link to all the werewolves in the whole world when you cried in pain calling ‘Grandma’?’
Liara looked dumbfounded at this piece of information. After the power that she received from Selene, all she could do was heal someone or help in calming their emotion.
‘Was this… was this your power Destiny?’ She asked her wolf, who lost her power, to become stronger while getting angry the moment the color of her coat changed. Liara recalled how the vampire’s power wasn’t working at Destiny.
‘I don’t know.’ Destiny answered, wagging her tail.
