Chapter 208: Chapter 208
Theodore observed how everyone was distant from him after learning his truth. It wasn’t that this was the first time for him to get those looks, but it had been a while since he hadn’t received that treatment. Treatment that always made him feel odd among everyone. When he used to stay with vampires, he was treated differently in the same way; werewolves were treating him today and maybe from today onwards every day.
“Ignore them.” He heard and turned around to find Ambrose. Theodore didn’t open his mouth, but he wanted to know since when he knew his reality. And why didn’t he has any problem with his identity?
"I shouldn't have believed Derik's words blindly without hearing your mate's side of the story," Ambrose said to which Theodore nodded his head. He wanted to speak that he shouldn't have hit him at that time, but no words came out of his mouth.
'I'm going to the Elite hospital with Aunt Edolie and Moana. I will deal with you once I am back.' Theodore heard in his mind. He tried not to roll his eyes at her threat. He wasn't scared of her and had no regret for punishing Moana.
It was she who saved Moana, or she would have been dead by now.
“I hope you’re aware of the hunters around this place by observing the dead bodies of two of our people,” Ambrose said, recalling how their heads were cut. At the same time, hearing this, Theodore’s eyes searched for Lucy and finally found her with her brother, sitting sadly. He couldn’t think what she would be going through at this moment.
“I know.” Theodore agreed. “And that hunter killed those bastards because they tried to force themselves on Lucy. If not for that hunter, then I would have killed them.” He hissed, controlling his anger. And making that everyone would hear him loud and clear.
Ambrose pressed his lips, not saying anything about him in front of everyone to show the difference between their thoughts, but he didn’t like Theodore keeping secrets all the time. In that way, no one would be able to trust him because he didn’t trust anyone with any information.
Ambrose wanted to say that he didn’t have the quality of the Alpha, a leader. And to lead a pack, one had to be a leader, not a boss, because a boss has the title, but a leader has the people. No matter how much Theodore had done for everyone, and he was the one paying for everyone’s salary, but if they would have to ask between Theodore and Ambrose, then they would choose Ambrose over Theodore.
Why?
Because they didn’t trust Theodore, and things were the same from another end as well because even Theodore didn’t trust anyone. And to run a pack, they must need to trust each other.
For now, Ambrose could handle them, but after him, he doubted that the people who followed him, treating him as their leader, would treat Theodore as their leader because anyone who was capable of winning people’s trust and heart was none other than Liara.
He had observed Liara closely all these days, and whether he liked it or not, but the truth was that an innocent face short girl had a lot of capability than what she showed.
A part of Ambrose wanted to tell Theodore that he should learn things from his mate, but at the same time, he wasn’t sure how Theodore would take his words because of MALE EGO.
While Ambrose was thinking all this, Theodore was observing everyone’s moves and smelling their feelings because he could bet that there were snakes around him who would try to harm Liara to get into his pant. After all, she was his only weakness as well as his strength.
Also, Liara had used her powers openly today, so everyone came to know about her being special, which had put her life at risk among the people she lived with. He was mad at her for using her power publicly, that too to save someone like Moana.
Never mind, he couldn’t do anything about the things which had already happened. All he had to do was stay extra careful, and now the part, everyone was keeping a distance between him and them. He knew that only Ambrose could make them do the things that he wanted them to do.
