The next morning!!

Liara walked toward the waiting area, thinking about all the things that she might need for clarification. She had thought that she would lie about knowing that man at all, and the fact that Colton couldn’t smell her was a plus point to her.

She didn’t miss how a lot of girls were around the waiting area. She rolled her eyes, knowing that they might be staring at her brother. Immediately her brother’s scent hit her nose, and she narrowed her eyes.

‘Moon Goddess, he might give me a heart attack someday.’ She thought, and in no time, a toddler of two years came running toward her.

“Lee!!! Lee!!” She smiled and crouched to give her niece, Roselet Haysbert, a big hug and then carried her in her arms. She glared at her brother Calvin Haysbert, Colton’s identical twins. “Whoa are you?” Roselet asked in her baby tone.

“I’m fine. Thank you. How are you?” Liara asked.

“M..M good. Thank you.” Roselet replied with a smile.

“She has more manners compared to you,” Liara said and gave Calvin an irritated look when he grinned and walked toward her to give her a bear hug. “Not again!!”

Calvin messed with her hair and spoke, “I won’t leave irritating you ever.” Calvin joked, breaking the hug. “Come on, go and wear something nice!! We’re going out today, and I don’t want to hear NO as the answer because it’s Sunday today.” He added.

“Yayyyy!! We’re going out for shopping.” Roselet cheered up. “I want goggles…. And shoo..” She said, pointing toward her feet.

Calvin knew that his sister couldn’t say NO to her niece; otherwise, she hated going out. And, just like he assumed, Liara smiled and kissed Roselet’s cheek, “But let me warn you that I will have to leave in case of any emergency in the hospital. It’s my learning stage.”

“Sure! Sure!”

After an hour!!

“Did you find someone who has even one percent who has a matching scent like Rose?” Calvin asked. Being a single father, he was searching for the woman who dropped his pup out of his pack around two years back.

“No.” Liara shook her head. “I hope you will find her one day.”

“I swear that day I will kill her.” Calvin hissed in anger and kept looking at his daughter, who was running here and there, looking at the toys. Immediately Liara’s nose hit the scent of her mate. A small smile was going to appear on her face when Calvin hissed in disgust and anger.

“Vampire!!”

‘Calvin can sense him too? Isn’t his scent masked? Damnnnnn!!!’ She mentally slammed her mind with the invisible wall. She was well aware of the protective nature of her brothers, so she was really scared that her love story might end before it would get a chance to grow.

Calvin looked around and finally found the person from whom this scent was coming. “There he is. Leech!!” He said, and Liara turned her head slowly in the direction in which she didn’t want to look because her heart was saying that the vampire Calvin sensed was her mate.

And finally, her eyes met his.

‘Why? Shouldn’t you be resting?’ She thought mentally.

“Why the hell is he looking at you?” Calvin questioned Liara even though he knew that she would have no answer to this question. He protectively pulled Liara toward him, warning Theodore to back off. It made Liara realize why her mate was glaring at Calvin.
