Chapter 193: Chapter 193
“She is taking advantage of the fact that she is your mate, Theodore!! She went against Moana’s decision when she was punishing the pups for their poor performance during training.”
“Throughout the time, she played with them, and they learned nothing new.”
“She is spoiling the kids by telling them stupid, meaningless stories and playing with them all the time.”
“She kind of did some black magic on my pup. He wants to stay near her instead of staying with us.”
“Same; she did the same with my pup.”
“Hell, she growled at me when I tried to get my pup from her. My pup doesn’t want to stay with us, and she is letting that happen.”
“What is she planning? To snatch our pups from us?”
Theodore rubbed his head while hearing these complaints. For a moment, he felt that he shouldn’t have come here. He felt he would snap any moment if they wouldn’t stop speaking rubbish about his mate.
‘Where are you? And what is keeping you so busy that you weren’t here when I arrived here?’ He asked Liara through a mind link and walked in the direction where he could sense her.
‘Telling a story to pups so that they could sleep peacefully. It’s almost done’ There came a reply, and the moment he reached where her scent was, he found her caressing the hair of the pups, and they almost slept.
Liara signaled him to stay quiet by placing a finger on her lips when she saw a lot of people behind him. It was hard to make the pup sleep, but thankfully, they did after a lot of effort.
She wasn’t fooled to understand that everyone would have filled a lot of things in his mind about her for everything that she did today.
She silently left from there and walked toward Theodore. She could sense that he was mad through the mate bond, but why?
Did he think that she did something wrong?
‘Or maybe because you weren’t waiting for him just like the previous time.’ Destiny suggested, recalling his emotions and asking where they were.
“Theo, I can….” Words died in her mouth when Theodore slammed his lips against her. She was about to explain everything from her side as well before he would take any decision, but she didn’t get that chance. She felt a wave of spark all over her body. He lifted her a little after a while, just like always, because of the pain in his neck on which Liara wrapped her legs around him, pulling him closer to her and kissing him passionately.
‘I thought you were mad.’ Liara mind linked.
‘I’m mad.’ He replied, deepening the kiss. ‘You told me once that I’m and I will always be the first priority of your life, and you weren’t there, waiting for me when I returned home.’ He complained, on which Liara smiled against the kiss.
“Ahem. Ahem!” Someone faked his cough. That was when Liara remembered that she was surrounded by a lot of people. She quickly broke the kiss as though Theodore was against it. She slid her legs down and stepped back, only to see a couple of people looking at them in amusement while others were glaring at her.
“Theodore, your mate is spoiling my pup, and instead of slapping her, you are kissing her. Are you that blind because of your mate bond?” Liara had to hold his arms to stop from reacting.
“I’m not spoiling your pup, lady,” Liara said calmly. “It’s just that you have forgotten that they are pups, not a warrior. Along with training, they need to enjoy their childhood as well.”
“We rogue..”
“Stop that nonsense,” Liara growled, cutting her in between. “What are we aiming for? To build a pack, right? And to build a pack, one has to start behaving like normal werewolves. I know you all have faced a lot of things in your life, but why the hell are you ruining the lives of your pups by feeding negative thoughts in their mind.”
“Because that’s the truth. Every pup must be strong enough to protect themselves from their enemies in case anything happens to their parents.” Moana growled, arguing on behalf of other people.
“One doesn’t need to be strong to protect themselves. The presence of mind is enough to get that work done.” Liara said. “And what do you think that the pups whom you're training will beat the shit out of vampires or any adult werewolves when they will be sent on a war? Huh?” She questioned. Chris started laughing at that question. Because that was the truth. No matter how hard a pup will train, he couldn’t match the strength of any adult creature.
“Oops, sorry!! But she has a point.” Chris said.
“Let me explain that situation practically. Those pups will get killed.” Liara said.
“What about the things that you are doing with them? Do you think playing with them will help them?” Edolie questioned her.
