Chapter 179: Chapter 179

Liara looked around in search of any house but found nothing. Clothes were kept on the branches of the trees.

‘Seriously? They live like this.’ She talked with Destiny. No home, nothing. Hell, they didn’t even care to wear anything on their feet. Most of them were roaming here and there naked, while in terms of females, they had worn a long t-shirt or shirt. She could bet that none of them would have worn anything under that. No doubt any higher-ranked werewolves despise rogue. The difference between them was like a billionaire and a person staying in a slum.

‘They live more like an animal.’ Destiny responded. Liara agreed with her words.

“So, she is from which pack before she chose you?” Ambrose Wayne asked directly without wasting much time.

“She doesn’t belong to any pack. She never belonged to one. She is an urban werewolf who stays in cities, alone or with a pack, and has nothing to do with other pack wolves.”

“What’s her father’s name?” He questioned.

“Brandon Haysbert.”

“Never heard that name before,” Ambrose muttered, not knowing much about the human world, but immediately, something clicked into his mind. “Does she has anything to with Calvin Haysbert? Alpha of Blood Moon Pack?” Liara didn’t know what was coming next, but whatever it was, it wasn’t good news.

“Your ancestors are from Blood Moon Pack, right?” He questioned.

“Yes, My real grandparents were from Blood Moon Pack. They all were killed by the hunters.” Liara said, not hiding the truth. Immediately Moana’s mother, AKA his mate, Edolie, reached near him, holding his arms, when his wolf started to come to the surface.

“Send her back from where she is from. She can’t stay here.” Ambrose said to Theodore, on which Liara held Theodore’s arms. She didn’t want to stay away from him.

“And why do you think that I will listen to you?” Theodore questioned him rudely.

‘Please don’t talk with him like this.’ Liara mind linked.

‘He can handle that. He is rogue.’ Theodore said.

“Don’t forget that I’m everyone’s leader here,” Ambrose said, gritting his teeth.

“Oh, yeah!! A leader?” Theodore scoffed. “I can’t count the number of times that I have saved your life, Old man. So, don’t give me that fucking threat ever again.”

“If she stays here, then I will kill this bitch for sure,” Ambrose said with so much hatred and disgust that even Liara could feel that, and it was after finding out the truth about the connection with Blood Moon Pack.

“Theo!! Son!!” Edolie stepped in when Theodore looked like he would attack Ambrose any moment for calling Liara bitch. “Please take her from here because her presence will always remind him about the things that her grandfather did to his mother.” Liara’s stomach twitched hearing this.

“He had raped her,” Edolie spoke in a low tone, and all Theodore could think was about his mother, who had faced the same thing while Liara gasped, knowing what she was thinking was right; his brown eyes and his brown hair were reminding her of Brandon. Though they didn’t look exactly the same, but a part of him was definitely similar to Brandon. It was because Brandon had received his looks more from his mother.

“And if you don’t believe me, then this is the fucking proof.” With that, Ambrose shifted into his wolf form. Liara’s mouth widened when she saw a jam red color wolf in front of him who was looking at her with so much hatred and anger that if looks could kill, then she would have been ten feet under the ground.

‘Does that mean he is dad’s half-brother?’

‘Obviously, it seemed like Grandpa had a child or children other than the children from his fated mate.’ Destiny muttered.

Ambrose shifted back into his human form and glared at Liara, “My mother’s and my whole world turned upside down because of what your grandpa did to her. So, leave my eyesight before I need you harming you.”

“Why do you hate her for the things that her real grandfather did? Hell, she doesn’t even know the name of that monster who did that with your mother?” Theodore spoke again while tears dwelled in her eyes. She couldn’t help but think about the struggle and pain that he would have felt all those years. He had all right to hold resentment against that person and anyone belonging to that family.

“If the same things would have happened with your mother, then you would have known that….”

“I know,” Theodore said, cutting him in between. He wanted to add more, but he couldn’t. At least, in the case of Ambrose, he knew the name of his name, but he was so unlucky that he had no idea who was his real father. “I know this feeling. This anger. This hatred. Everything that you’re feeling against Lia’s family. Trust me; I have felt everything and done a lot of damage because of that. I have already punished her once without any fault. I won’t let that happen again. She won’t suffer for the things that she hasn’t done.”

“Don’t let her innocent face fool you, Theodore. One day or another, her dirty blood….”

“Dirty blood? You mean the same blood that you both share?” Theodore mocked him. “Correct me if I’m wrong, but if I’m not wrong, then you both share the same blood, don’t you?”

Ambrose growled at him while Liara's mind linked him not to piss him off.

“Keep growling!! It doesn’t matter to me. You made my life a living hell by focusing on adding me as your family member, even though I didn’t want to be. Now, deal with it. After all, we are FAMILY.” He added, irking him more.

‘Please stop it. You’re not helping.’ Liara pleaded with him, but Theodore ignored her. He believed the way Liara made a space in his heart by spending time together, in the same way she would win Ambrose’s heart and would make him realize that hating her wouldn’t bring any peace to his heart.

“Edolie, won’t you welcome a new member of the family?” Theodore questioned her, who looked between Ambrose and Liara and didn’t say a word. “Listen, Old man, whether you like it or, she is family now; whether you believe it or not, she is going to stay with us now, and whether you admit it or not, you both share the same blood. You can’t change the truth that you’re her uncle, and she is your niece.”

Ambrose’s jaw tightened. It was clear that he didn’t have that sentence.

“She can stay with us only when she proves herself that she is among us.” Ambrose challenged Liara. She wasn’t a fool who wouldn’t know that he was finding reasons to kick her out of there.

“She doesn’t have to prov..”

“Challenge accepted, Uncle Ambrose!!” Liara said, cutting Theodore in between. She knew that she had to win his heart and everyone’s heart if she was planning to stay here. At the same time, a smirk on his lips was telling her that he wasn’t going to make this easy for her.

"If she loses, then she will have to leave here once and forever," Ambrose said, on which Theodore thought to leave with Liara in case that happened.

"Okay!!" Liara agreed.

"But she will have to leave ALONE by rejecting Theo!!" Moana spoke on which Theodore growled in anger. Liara had to stop him from not breaking her neck. "What? I'm solving the problem. You can't adjust in her world, and she can't adjust in yours. Clearly, this is a mismatched mate bond that Moon Goddess made when she wasn't in her right sense. A rogue needs a rogue beside him, not some educated doctor. He needs someone who is equally strong as him. He needs someone who can stay behind him instead of staying away from him in his difficult days."

'Destiny, make sure to teach her a good lesson.' Theodore mind linked Liara.

'I will.'

"Mo, have you lost your mind?" Edolie scolded her daughter.

"Let it be, Aunt. I accept that part of the challenge too." Liara said. It wasn't that she was overconfident about winning this because of her new powers. It was because she could go to any extent for the love of her life. She couldn't lose it. She just couldn't.
