“Dr. Wayne!! Please be careful!! He might attack.” Liara’s senior spoke when she carefully tried to heal the nerves of the dragon’s neck. Because of the damage to the nerve of the dragon, he wasn’t able to shift into his human form, and this was making him angry, a lot angrier than a normal dragon could.
“It’s okay. We got this.” Liara whispered softly, caressing his head. The best thing about studying in the Elite Academy was that the Academy was full of all types of creatures, and she got a chance to study and practice what she had learned about all the creatures. Though her major subjects were about werewolves but she didn’t mind learning about other creatures as well. After all, expect from learning what else she had left to do.
Even her mate didn’t have time for her. The last time she had seen Theodore was before two years and three months back. It wasn’t that he stopped talking to her or they weren’t in touch. It was just that Theodore didn’t want Liara to come where he was.
‘I want some time, Lia. I can’t keep you with me.’ These were the words that he spoke three months back when she finally graduated. Her mate didn’t want her, and she didn’t have anywhere to go, so she accepted the job offer at the Elite hospital.
The dragon whose head she was caressing groaned in pain. “We got this. We got this. You’re stronger than this.” She kept motivating him. Though he was unconscious, the beast could attack in sudden pain.
“There you go!!” She smiled when she finally healed his nerves and waited for a while to see the result. And finally, in the next moment, that dragon started shifting into a teenage boy. “He is fine now.” She said, turning her head toward her colleagues.
It wasn’t that they couldn’t handle this situation, but the fact that Liara had the power to heal was something that no one was blessed with.
“I’m so proud of you, Dr. Wayne.” Doctor Nolan, her senior, spoke. “This kid doesn’t know how to control his beast. That’s why we had to call you because the whole hospital knows how calm and soothing your touch is. That can tame any angry beast. In fact, he was ready to attack us even in his unconscious form.” he explained.
“And another successful surgery!!” Her other colleagues said. “No wonder why you’re one of the highest-paid doctors here, even at such a young age.”
“Oh, please!!” Liara blushed at her compliment. “I just did my job. Nothing else. Now, I would like to take my leave. It’s already four in the morning. It’s my convocation today.” She added with a smile.
“Yeah! I totally forget that. Who all are coming from your family?” This question faded her smile. To be honest, she didn’t know.
“That’s a surprise for me. So, I don’t know.” Liara replied and walked out from there, but she didn’t miss hearing what they said behind her back.,
‘I really hope that someone will come from her family, at least, her mate!! I feel bad for her.’
Liara was trying not to cry at this comment and had barely taken a couple of steps ignoring the family members of the patients because that boy wasn’t her patient in the first place.
