Chapter 144: Chapter 144
“Don’t you dare think that you can have me just because our bond is completed? You, well, not just you, but you both have to make up for all the things no matter how long it is going to take. And next time, if you will try to come near me, I swear, I will bite your ass.” Destiny growled, on which Inigo gave control to Theodore and ran back to his spot. Theodore wanted to laugh at him, but then, he was also the one who was going to be grilled by Destiny.
“What you both did with us was wrong. I’m glad that you acknowledge that, but you need to work hard. And dare you to think of using mate bond to win our hearts. My human kept everything at stake for her mate, so she deserves the best version of you. THE BEST. Hurt her once, and I will BITE you twice.”
Destiny had to muster all her courage to keep her face stern and emotionless. Her heart knew how much she wanted to jump on him, but with no one besides her human to protect her from Theodore, it was her sole responsibility to protect her human heart.
Destiny remembered how Mommy Sophia taught her to choose her mate and fight for him if he was worth fighting for. And she believed Theodore worthed everything that her human did for him. The man who could hate her existence with so much passion then how much he would love her now that his hate had turned into love.
Though Destiny knew the reason behind his behavior toward his hatred but she still wanted him to fix it because she didn’t do anything to deserve his rude behavior.
“Sorry, Destiny!!” Theodore whispered, recalling that he had never apologized to her. “You can hurt me, my whole life if I will ever hurt either of you.” He added and caressed her face. He watched how her breath became uneven on his touch.
She liked it, his touch., and the way his rough skin felt against her soft skin.
But he didn’t want to use the bond to win her heart.
“But there is a problem,” Liara whispered, taking control of her body. “I will need my books for preparation for the exam.” She shared her concern. She didn’t know what Theodore could do to solve this problem but kept it inside her mind.
“Ah. That… I can fix that issue.” Theodore said.
“We will be going to Ever Green Pack to get that? Because that’s not possible. Because one needs a private jet to reach there. Are we….”
“It’s a surprise.” Hearing this, Liara’s eyes widened, but she quickly came out of the shock. Did she really hear ‘surprise’ from Theodore? A small smile appeared on her lips because this was unexpected. Theodore watched her smiling that too because of him. He loved how her cheeks turned pink, where she found him staring at her without blinking his eyes. She averted her eyes and started looking at the floor with a smile on her lips.
“I like surprises,” Liara mumbled with a smile but looked at the floor.
“Then I will make sure that you will always get one,” Theodore said, more like he promised to himself. Liara looked at him and smiled widely as if she liked that idea. “I want to take your suggestion. I mean, just like you’re clear about what you want to do in the future? What should I do? If you would have been at my place then what would you have done?” He initiated the conversation.
Liara was taken aback by this question because Theodore wasn’t someone who had a habit of taking suggestions. But this was a good sign, right?
“I… to be honest, I really don’t know. If this would have been a new beginning with you, then I would have been focused on my life with you.” Liara replied. Theodore heard her words calmly and he had planned the same thing. If Liara would study hard for her dream, then he would work equally hard to give the best lifestyle for her.
“But…” Liara continued, bringing him out of his thoughts. He didn’t know what she was going to say next but he believed that his mate was intelligent enough to give him a good suggestion. “But at the same time, I would have tried to build what had been destroyed a century back. I mean, I would have built or formed ‘Silver Moon Pack’.”
Theodore looked at her in shock because this thought had never crossed his mind. He didn’t know how to react to her idea. “Also, you have destroyed a lot of packs in all these years, Theo. Those incidents would have forced the remaining werewolves into rogue. If I would have been at your place, then I would have tried to fix that well. Obviously, you can’t change the past but you can change the future if you want.”
“Ah. They will hate for what I did to them.” Theodore pointed out, “Not that I care. But I will take your idea into consideration because I know it will make you happy.” he added, caressing her face again. He realized that he had made a lot of enemies out there. So, two years was plenty of time to settle all the mess that he had created as well.
The last thing that he would want to drag Liara into this mess, and get hurt. So, keeping her away from him wasn’t a bad idea though.
“And the last thing that I would have done if I would have done at your place was to get in touch with the survivor of the Silver Moon Pack. I mean… to form a Silver Moon Pack, I will need pack members as well, right?” Liara said. “In fact, Alaric and I had worked on this together, but at that moment, our goal was different….” With that, she narrated how she had advertised on the news channel about the last Alpha heir of the Silver Moon Pack and how she had left an email for those who wanted to contact their last Alpha heir.
She had received a lot of responses to that email, but she didn’t get a chance to decide what she had to do with that, and eventually, Theodore learned the truth in one way or another, so she never checked that email again.
“Do you still remember that email Id and password?” Theodore couldn’t help but ask.
“Yes!! I do.” Liara admitted, to which Theodore quickly pulled his phone from his pocket and forwarded it toward her. He couldn’t thank Liara for giving meaning to his life. Now, he had a family and a goal, and it seemed like he knew what would be his first step toward his goal.
“Here!!” Liara returned the phone. Theodore looked at the date of the first couple of emails, and it looked like the people from her mother’s pack member were still sending emails at the email id that Liara had given to everyone.
“Thank you.”
“My pleasure,” Liara responded and when she saw a small smirk playing on Theodore’s lips.
“Pleasure.” He repeated her word.
“Ewww…. Your mind is so dirty.”
“But I didn’t say anything.”
“You don’t have to say anything to me. I can read your eyes.” Liara pointed out on which he smiled. She smiled, watching him smile. ‘I might have taken a different route, dad, but my goal is still the same. I will make you proud; I promise you that.’
