‘It’s the fourth day when he cooked for us.’ Destiny disturbed her when she was trying to invent a medicine for vampire venom by using her blood this time. Since she survived from vampire venom, she felt that maybe the medicine on which she was working would finally work if she would use a small amount of her blood.

‘Destiny!!’

‘What? Can’t I mention what he is doing to talk with us?’ Destiny grumbled. ‘He also brought your chocolate for you.’ She added next.

‘I don’t eat chocolates.’

‘That’s because you have a habit of giving your chocolates either to your all-time hungry to your brother Calvin or selfish sister Tee.’ Destiny pointed out. Just because you don’t eat that chocolate doesn’t mean it is not your favorite.’

Liara wasn’t blind. She had observed all this on her own. She had observed how he had gathered almost all the information about her from her mother in the last four days and that he didn’t care about her in months. It was just that she just couldn’t trust his move.’

She was there when the truth about Theodore’s mother was revealed. So, she could understand his anger and hatred for werewolves because he had been raised in that way. But no matter how much she tried to justify them, she just couldn’t.

If he would have hated her during the whole time, then that would have been better than using her.

‘I bet he wasn’t planning to do anything like that with us. It was you who blackmailed him, leaving him no choice with her.’ Destiny supported Theodore as if she was his lawyer.

‘Seriously? You’re in his team now?’ Liara asked her. ‘Well, what can I expect from a wolf for her mate?’ She complained.

‘It’s not just a one-sided bond, Lee!’ Destiny grumbled. ‘Instant rejection is best. You can feel pain for a while, and after that, everything returns back to normal, but…. But it's hard to let go of someone for whom you have feelings as well.’

Liara didn’t comment on that part and resumed her work. She really hoped that this time this medicine to be work. At the same time, she recalled how easily Destiny healed herself from the pain of rejection. Because as far as she knew, it took a couple of days to heal from it, and the rejection either weakened the wolves by sending them into depression or killing the wolves.

‘And there was my girl. Perfectly fine. Was this had anything to do with being a future healer?’

Liara used a few drops of a new medicine on the vampire venom that she had gotten from Justin and examined its effects.

A couple of minutes passed, and it didn’t work. She felt like she had failed again. And finally, a small smile appeared on her lips when she realized that she was early to conclude the result.

“Hey, Princess!!” Brandon peeked into her lab. “May I come in?”

“Sure, dad,” Liara said before cleaning her workstation and removing unnecessary things.

“Is something going on between you and Justin?” He asked, observing that they were spending a little more time than before. Also, Justin had started giving her something in a box. Till a month before, Liara wasn’t comfortable around any other man except her family members. Then somehow, she started getting comfortable with Justin during training ground. Now, they used to spend some time together. Talking about what only god knew!!

“Nothing, dad. I’m using his venom for my experiment.” Liara replied. “And with him, I am learning more about vampires.” She mumbled. “Though I have read about them in the books, but practical knowledge is slightly different from the facts which are written in the books.”

“Oh!” Brandon mumbled. “You mightn’t have observed, but he likes you.” Liara’s head snapped at her father’s side. “And the part that you’re ignoring your mate and spending time with him is giving him a wrong message.”

“Dad… I… there is no such thing in my head.” Liara replied in shock. “But how can he like me? I’m no beauty queen.”

“Sometimes people fall in love with a beautiful heart than a pretty face.” Brandon paused before setting an example, “Just like I did.”

“There are a lot of things that I want to talk about, especially your behavior toward your mate, Princess!! But I know you won’t open your mouth. So, let me ask you one straight question to you, and you have to answer in YES or NO.” Brandon suggested.
