Chapter 3: Chapter 3

***Continuation***

"Luna, look at him, just look at him. Isn't he just wonderful?" Ivy whispered once again.

"Shhh, Mr. Lim will see you" I said, and she got back to sitting properly while giggling.

The class finished after two hours and I'm currently fixing my things. Ivy was done, and now she keeps shaking my arms again. Even when she don't say it, I totally know what it's about.

"Luna, What do you think of asking for his number? I mean, Should I?" Ivy said.

My eyebrows frown from what she said, we don't even know his personality yet Ivy wants to approach him. And of course, as her best friend, I won't let her approach someone who we doesn't really know, and for God's sake, he's a Creed.

"What? No, of course not. We barely know him, Ivy" I said which made her pout.

"Well, I guess it's too early for that. But what about you?" She said while linking our arms together.

We started walking out of the classroom because Sev told us to meet him outside our building. He's probably already there as we know his schedule.

"What about me?" I asked.

"Well, you know. About that pretty Maximo Knight" Ivy said, and I chuckled.

I don't really plan on pursuing him as I always say, but Ivy kept on telling me to not miss the chance. I'm not afraid of rejection though, but it's just that I know that I wouldn't meet his standards even for a slightest bit so why would I waste my time? I mean I'm just a plain part time hunter College student. There's nothing really special about me, so I wouldn't dare to.

We walked until we reached the elevator, and we don't have anyone with us inside again. Suddenly, I remembered what happened earlier. It had me unconsciously started wishing that he won't appear again.

But I guess my wish wasn't strong enough.

The door opened again with a sight of a man outside. It's him, the elegant Creed. He walked inside the elevator with his hands on his pockets, while wearing his usual look, cold and emotionless.

My heart was about to start racing again, but it stopped as Ivy poked my side again with her elbow. I just let out a deep breath while frowning at her.

"Stop it, Ivy" I whispered, because this girl keeps on shaking my arms.

I know for sure that she's just suppressing her smiles. I know that when we got out of here, she'll slapped my arms and scream the hell out.

Creed didn't bother pushing the button again, and I guess he would also leave the building. Creed was just facing the door, and he's slightly in front of us that's why our view of him was only his slender back and his broad shoulders. His proportions were undeniably good. He looked different from the back though, he looked really peaceful.

I wonder why his eyes weren't when I get to meet them at that event, like they're fighting something and peace wasn't existing at all, together with happiness.

It's not my business though, I'm totally out of if. Stop thinking of it Luna.

The door opened and like before, he lead outside and continued walking unbothered with eyes catching him as he walked. Girls whispering, and guys discussing his name. I wouldn't be surprised if in just a few days, he'll become the new face of Colix, replacing Maximo.

"Luna, Ivy!" Sev shouted while waving at us so actively.

We approached him and he got between me and Ivy, then he clinged his arms to us and we stayed like that while walking.

"Girls, do you have plans for today? I know your schedule was finished, next subjects will just be orientations" Sev said.

"Right, I don't really have one. What about you, Luna?" Ivy said.

Thinking of that, I don't really have one also. But we don't have that much things to do even tomorrow, so I was thinking of going back home to visit my family.

"I'm thinking of visiting home, I want to check on my Dad. Terry said he often get sick" I said.

"Is that so? Then, you should really visit them" Ivy said, and I nodded.

It was still early, and the three of us just decided to go at the library as we always do when we don't know where to go. Going there wasn't boring though, cause we're actually bookworms and besides, the airconditioning was so nice and Sev often wanted to sleep there.

(THIRD PERSON POV)

Luna, Ivy, and Sev arrived at the library in no time, and the first thing they did was to sit at their favorite spot. The table at the very back of the library where only few students stay for reading.

Luna stood up after a while and the used reaction of the two were necessary. They're used to it, the fact that when you talk about a library, Luna would actually find a book to read as the other two would stay put and read a book just when they want to.

Luna started scanning the novel section, focusing on reading each titles and hoping to find another book to borrow and binge every night before sleep. There's no specific genre that she prefers, but it's all about what catches her eyes for the time being.

She continued to walk through the sections, ignoring her surroundings. It's a usual habit she does when she's in front of books, some things would be unnoticeable for her.

Even the fact that she's about to bump on a man, reading some pages of a book while also giving his complete focus on it.

And not even for a second, the bumping happened.

"Oh my God, Im sor-" Luna couldn't finish her apology as she realized whom she bumped with.

It was like her focus on the books earlier got replaced by a bothered mind and a heart that is starting to race.

*THUMP THUMP THUMP

Her heart was bumping like an actual drum being played at the moment, her eyes were still widened, and she could feel her face heating up.

Luna's amber eyes followed the man's every move, from picking up the book that has fallen, to his face turning on her way.

"It's okay, Are you alright?" Max said.

And from that simple question, the denial Luna felt everything that she has felt for this man through the years.

No words would come out on Luna's mouth as she just nodded as response. She gulped from being fascinated how handsome was Max's face. He's even prettier up close, she thought. And by their close spaces until this moment, Luna could actually smell his perfume, and it's giving her a warning that if she doesn't move, she might really confess her feelings for Max that she kept for years.

"Then, I'll get going. And be careful, Luna" Max said, then he left her there, hanging with her mind still not processing what just happened.

"He knew. He knew my... Name???" Luna whispered as she covered her mouth.

She wasn't sure though, but it was crystal clear that she heard it. Max just spit her name out of his mouth, and there's no way Luna could actually know the reason why.

Luna got back with her friends, looking at her as she sat at the chair. Ivy and Sev turned their heads to each other, and they shrugged their shoulders while looking at Luna.

"Why are you looking like that?" Ivy said.

"And where's your book?" Sev said.

But Luna just faced the table, making her forehead bumped on it slightly.

He said it. He said my name. He actually know my name.

It was just the things that's swirling in her mind as her friends were still confused why she's acting so weird.

"Guys, could you pinch me?" Luna said as she lifted her head.

And Sev actually did what she said, he quickly lifted his butt from sitting and reached Luna's face that's sitting in front of him, then he pinched both of her cheeks.

"Ouch," Luna exclaimed, and frowned. She cupped both of her cheeks and caressed it.

"You ordered, I just did" Sev said.

So it wasn't a dream? Luna thought. She knew she have better things to do but a simple statement from Maximo Knight made her be like this in a short span of time. Maybe he just heard someone say her name, or maybe he really does know her?

Luna don't actually know and she's about to go crazy. She was a whole lot curious about Maximo, and now she's also curious why the hell would he know her.

"I think we better get going, guys" Luna said.

She shook her head and tried to ignored her questions in mind, and just think of going back home to see her family as soon as possible.

"Are you going home tomorrow?" Ivy asked, and Luna nodded as response.

"Can I come with you to your house? I kinda miss Terry" Sev said.

But Luna shook her head and moved her index finger like no, you can't come. And it's probably because she knew Sev still has a lot to do, and she doesn't want him to spend money for the fare. After all, the three of them were a lot similar to each other. They work sometimes, and help their families at the same time, and Luna was just being considerate with her friends.

"When will I get to see him?" Sev said.

"Yeah right, I want to see him too" Ivy said.

Ivy and Sev had been close to Luna's family, but just on her Dad and Terry, her 12 year old brother. She does have a mother though, but her personality wasn't like her Dad's. Diane wasn't welcoming, she's rude, and she's scary.

Sev and Ivy doesn't care about that though, because Luna's Dad was already kind to them. He gives them advice and acts like they're part of the family. They still have a respect for Diane though, and it's what's important, they believe.

"Then, I'll let you come sometime. But, I'm the one who'll pay for the fare. And it will happen once I've found a better job" Luna said, and her positivity made her friends smile from ear to ear.

"Let's just get going" Luna added, and the two nodded in response. They started fixing their things and walk out of the library.

***

Ace arrived at the parking lot without caring about those people whispering about him, and those girls screaming his name. He was annoyed, but he can't be the Creed that he is when he's here.

He approached his car with his hands on his pocket, but he removed it when he saw his comrade, Avien. She was standing beside it, looking like she just waited for Ace to arrive.

She probably know all about his schedules too, and she actually know what people at Colix would think if she ever walked around inside with the Creed. And of course, she doesn't want the slightest bit of that, but not because she cares about what they would actually think. But, she cares about how Ace would react.

She knew that people inside Colix were already talking about Ace, and by this look at Ace's face, even when he wears the non replaceable expression, she was promised that Ace actually agreed to leave his gùn on the car.

Or else, she won't really know what would happen. Ace was always not easy to read even for Avien, but she knows best that he's smart and would think critically at his every move. But even though, she also knew how the Creed has changed through the past three years.

"I know you know why I'm here" Avien said as she approached the latter.

"Problem?" Ace asked.

"Sabotage" Avien said.

And by that simple exchange of brief replies, Ace could already analyze what his comrade was talking about.

Ace was a good observer, and his knowledge were elite. But though he could really manage his inherited firms with Avien's help, Ace had to attend Colix to actually become unnoticeable. He had to look like normally going to college, attending a course, and be a student just to lessen Hades' suspicion.

After all, El Primo Hades was a man of awareness. He was sensible of the Creed, he knew that the Young master was mindful about his works, about the brutal escapade that happened three years ago. But he was choosing to lie low, no one knows what he was thinking. That's why Ace agreed to live at the Casa, and not on a place where Hades' access was inevitable.

They knew that they don't have just a single nemesis though, they're fully aware that there's a lot more that desires their downfall.

"If it's the Fifth inventory, then I know who" Ace said.

"It is, so what's the plan?" Avien said.

Ace got silent for second while he comb his hair backwards, and the strands actually get back, falling to their past position. He just stood and crossed his arms while looking at the latter who's anticipating his answer.

"We take it back, let them taste their wrong decisions" Ace said, and a smirk has appeared on Avien's face.

Ace would seem to have that emotionless look of his even when the tension was getting different, but Avien could totally feel what Ace has in mind at the moment.

He's not raging, he's rather calm and steady. But his mind, Avien could feel what those emerald eyes were playing inside and one thing is for sure...

Blood will shed.

"By the way, Parker will come back tomorrow" Avien said while looking at the latter.

"I know, I told him to. We need him" Ace said.
