Chapter 39: Chapter 39
“What are you doing to her?! Stop it!” Damon yelled as he watched Belinda snarl.
Belinda grabbed her head as she began to feel an intense migraine. Every time she opened her eyes, all she saw was Alpha Cephas’ face, and soon, she heard nothing else but his voice.
His disgusting and annoying groan anytime he forcefully laid with her. She snarled and growled even louder, and suddenly, she began to shapeshift.
She fell to the ground and pressed her hands and knees to the ground like she wanted to pluck it. She threw her head backwards and afterward, her wolf took full control of her body.
Keeping her deadly eyes on Mr. Theron, who was now Alpha Cephas to her, she started to approach him, keeping her head low like she was looking for the perfect time and place to attack.
Mr. Theron began to move back and immediately, Belinda began to charge at him.
“Should they come in now?” King Talos asked under great pressure. Everyone that watched, including Damon, were under great pressure and tension.
“Not yet! She isn’t at her peak yet!” He yelled as he ran out of the circle they had created.
“He isn’t strong enough to run from her! She is fast and strong! She’ll kill him. Let me intervene!” Damon yelled at his father, as his father watched what was going to happen in anxiety.
Belinda kept drawing closer to him as she ran. At every passing second, her rage increased and her speed was multiplied.
Mr. Theron’s began to find it hard to keep up, as he began to find it hard to breathe.
“Now! Now!” He yelled, changing course as he hit the road back to the king.
“Damon! Megan! Go! Both of you!” King Talos yelled, and instantly, the guardsmen let go of Damon. They both ran to where Mr. Theron was and even ran past him.
Belinda approached them very fast. Megan began to shiver fearfully. She wasn’t sure if at that point, Belinda could control how she felt.
“Belinda! It’s me!” Megan yelled as she watched her dash towards them in terror.
It was as if Belinda’s ears were shut, her eyes were fixed on Mr. Theron, who was now Alpha Cephas to her, the whole time. She couldn’t see Megan nor Damon.
Megan stood right in Belinda’s part, and everyone’s heart raced very fast as they didn’t see any sign of Belinda slowing down. Her pace kept increasing.
“It’s not working, Mr. Theron! Plan B!” King Talos yelled fearfully, as his guards stood in front of him, trying to protect him from the incoming danger.
Belinda was about ten paces from Megan when all of a sudden, Damon jumped in front of her.
“Run, Megan!” Damon yelled, and she took to her heels immediately, running back to where her parents were.
“Damon!” The king and Queen yelled as Belinda knocked him down. Due to the hard hit, Damon fell to the ground and winced in pain.
Ignoring the pain, he hastily knelt down and watched as Belinda moved back, locking her yellow eyes with his.
She started to snarl again, lowering her head like she was about to attack.
“Belinda. It’s me, it’s me… Damon.” He uttered, but she didn’t stop snarling.
“Damon, stay away from her. Guards!” King Talos yelled, and Belinda’s snarling increased as her cold gaze shifted Damon’s to King Talos.
“No! I got this!” Damon yelled, making everyone stay quiet.
“Belinda. Look at me. You don’t want to do this.” Damon uttered, stretching his hand forth to her, making her shift her attention to him once again.
He summoned courage and moved closer to her, with his hand still stretched out. Belinda’s snarl grew louder, but when she saw he wasn’t intimidated by this, it began to reduce.
“It’s me. I’m not going to hurt you, okay?” He further uttered, and soon his hand got to her head. To everyone’s surprise, her eyes closed as she reacted softly to his touch.
The next time her eyes opened, it wasn’t that beasty look anymore, it was a soft and loving stare.
Damon’s heart still thumped against his chest as he slowly embraced her. Embracing her, Belinda began to shapeshift into a human.
“Get me the blanket!” Damon yelled as he tried to cover Belinda’s naked body with his body.
“Prince Damon.” She called in a whisper, gazing into his eyes.
“Belinda. You did it. I’m your anchor.” He responded excitedly, yet calmly. He brushed her rough hair out of her face and caressed her cheeks until the blanket was brought to him.
He grabbed the big blanket from Megan who had brought it, and covered Belinda with it.
“You could recognize me, Belinda.” Damon added, and a soft smile lit up her face.
“I couldn’t help it.” She answered in a soft voice, and Damon grinned, raising his head to look at Megan, who was smiling too.
“Damon.” King Talos called as everyone, including Mr. Theron began to approach them.
“Can you stand?” Damon asked her, and she nodded.
“Yes, I can.”
Helping her up, they were all up on their feet before e Bethune got closer. He helped her cover up very well with the blanket.
“I don’t think your relationship can be kept a secret anymore.” Megan whispered in Damon’s ear and before he could reply, he heard his father’s voice.
“Stay away from her.” He ordered.
“Why? We did what you wanted. You provoked her and she’s fine now. What else do you want from her? She needs to rest.” Damon became defensive.
“I ordered you to stay away, Damon. You’ll do as I say before questioning me!” King Talos smacked, making Damon reluctantly remove his hand from around her lower shoulders.
“Mr. Theron.” King Talos called, and Mr. Theron rushed to where Belinda was.
“How are you feeling?? What do you see?”
“I’m okay. I see you and everyone else here.” Belinda responded calmly.
“And Alpha Cephas?”
“No.” She answered abruptly, and Mr. Theron nodded with a smile.
“She’s okay.” He said to the king as he moved away.
“So, we aren’t going to do anything about her? That was still terrifying, even though Damon was able to stop her. He knocked her down. What if Damon won’t be there all the time?” Queen Marlena lamented, staring at Belinda like she was a beast.
“Mom, please drop it, okay? Can’t we just rest for tonight and worry about other things later?” Megan answered, looking at her father for the final order.
“Everyone back to your various destinations. Mr. Theron, you’ll come with me to my chamber.” King Talos ordered, and everyone began to leave immediately.
“Let’s go, Belinda.” Megan held her hand and three of them turned to leave the field.
As they walked, none of them spoke to each other because they had different things going on in their mind. But, after a few minutes, Belinda broke the silence.
“What’s going to happen next?” She asked.
“Nothing uncontrollable. It went well.” Damon answered, trying to calm her down.
“But I knocked you down…”
“Because you didn’t realize it was me in the first place. All you saw was Alpha Cephas. I understand that had to happen.”
“What if the King and Queen decide that they don’t want me here.”
“We wouldn’t let that happen, Belinda. We love you, and we’ll keep you safe.” Megan answered, taking Belinda’s hand and giving it a slight squeeze.
They both smiled softly at each other as they kept walking.

Throughout the journey back to the King’s chamber, Mr. Theron could sense worry in King Talos. He said no words to him until they got into his chamber.
“It worked, King Talos. There’s nothing to worry about.”
“No! There are a lot of things to worry about, Mr. Theron. That monster scared the hell out of everyone! She was this close to hurting my children!” King Talos answered, raising his finger to show how close he meant.
“But she didn’t. We used the person she hated the most in the world to provoke her. Honestly, I believe that wasn’t so easy for her. Trying to calm down in front of Prince Damon while I was behind her, representing her biggest enemy and fear.”
“No, Mr. Theron. I just don’t like the idea. I told you in very first place that I don’t want my children anywhere close to this creature. She can’t be trusted…”
“For now, she can’t, but with time, we will.” Mr. Theron cut in.
“I refused that my children be found anywhere close to her, ever again. If Damon is her anchor, then what happened tonight has drawn them closer, and soon he will have to be with her all the time. I don’t want this!”
“What do you want me to do, My King?” Mr. Theron asked, bowing his head.
“Find her another anchor. I don’t know how you’re going to do it, but do it. Keep her away from my children. If there are no other anchors than my children, then, I’ll just have to let her go, or get rid of her. She’s a threat to everyone. That cursed thing shouldn’t be in my kingdom to begin with.” The king uttered, and Mr. Theron bowed, showing obedience.
“I’ll do just that, my king.”
“One more thing. Make sure Damon isn’t anywhere close to her, ever again. I hate how close he is to her. Keep them apart.”
