NAINA

My first day. I reached a little bit late because of Kunwar sa. Today he woke up late. Why today? Every day he wakes up early even if he was drunk. But today no reason he woke up late. Huhh! Because of me also Sameera got late on her work. Poor girl!

I was excited as well as nervous. There were around 20 new employees including me on the new designing team. And top of that I was selected as the head of the team.

WHAT THE FUCK!

I felt the whole sky fall on my head when Kunwar sa pointed his finger at me and said I was selected as the team leader.

Really!

Am I dreaming?

A set of rules and regulations were kept in front of us. And as a leader, there was an extra set of rules, especially for me.

Great!

Since I met him, I never looked directly into his eyes. And I'm really scared to look into his eyes. Why I don't know?

After a brief introduction to our new colleagues, we began to start working. I liked my working desk. There was a drawing desk and all stationers were kept around within my hand area.

Well-arranged.

I liked everything. I sat on my chair and start doing my work.

At lunchtime, I took my bag and made my way to the cafeteria to have my lunch. I brought my lunch from home. I don't like to eat outside food. I only like to eat homemade food.

I reached there using the lift. I always use stairs to go down or go upstairs at our apartment. As I felt scared to use an elevator. What if I got stuck there and failed to switch the correct button. But today Sam teach me how to use the elevator. And I tried it here while reaching my floor.

I ran my eyes for space and I got that. I went there walking fast and took a seat. I brought out my lunch box and place it on the table.

Suddenly I heard someone's voice from my behind what starlet me. So I turned to find out who is it? And found Puneet sir standing there.

"Hello! Sir." I greet him meekly and nodded with a warm smile.

"Welcome to SPS constructions. And I must say you are looking gorgeous." He complimented me.

Today I'm wearing a pink ladies' suit with a white shirt.

"Thank you, sir." I thanked him with a smile. But a weird smile. He is my boss. How could he praise me like this? I'm not his girlfriend.

"Can I sit here?" He asked for my permission. Really! He is the co-owner of this company and he is asking permission from a mare employee.

"Of course sir. You are my Boss. There is no need for asking my permission. You can sit, where you like." I said honestly.

"Yeah, But still. I respect others' privacy. That's why I asked for your permission." He said looking at my lunch box.

Is he giving an evil eye to my food?

"Homemade food?" Sir asked me with twinkling eyes.

"Yes," I said feeling weird.

"Your Mother made it?" He asked and I reluctantly nod my head. As I don't want to let him know about me and my story.

"Why are you here?" I asked him curiously.

"I don't want to have food all alone so I came. Sameer has gone for lunch with his Siya. Leaving this single man. That's why I came here looking for someone with whom I can enjoy my time while eating."

Sir said casually then bite on his burger.

Who is Siya? And why Kunwar sa went with her for having lunch together.

"Sir, if you don't mind. Can I ask you, who is Siya?" Finally, I decided to ask him.

"Rasiya Agnihotri. HR department's head. Sameer's girlfriend." Hearing that my heart stopped beating. I was feeling I'm going to die at any moment.

That Witch is his so-called girlfriend for whom he doesn't want to accept me as his wife. He wanted to live the rest of his life with her.

Why not? She has some glory, his type not like me. Who doesn't have anything? No name, No fame, No class. An orphan. Being an orphan I don't have the right to dream so high.

"Miss." Sir addressed me snapping his finger in front of my face and pulling me back from my thoughts.

I looked at him controlling my tears. Not wanting to let them fall in front of him. It will be embarrassing. Plastering a fake smile on my face, I offered him my food. As I don't have any mood to have anything.

"Sir, Who eats a burger for lunch? If you like, I can give you my food."

"No! There's no need. If you give me your food then what will you have?" He exclaimed and refused to take my offer by waving his hands off.

"Sir, I have no appetite. You have mine.

Anyway, outside food is not good for health." I told him. And he thinks for some good moment then agreed.

"Ummm." He moaned chewing the food. And I smiled.

"Sir, after finishing this please kindly send this box to me by someone."

I requested him and he give me an affirmative nod and I stood from there to go.

As I was feeling suffocated thinking about Kunwar sa and his lover.

"Don't forget to tell your Mom that she cooks very tasty. I love her food." He said and I nodded with a smile and then left from there with my shattered heart.

I started walking literally running towards my cabin and coming out of the lift. I was crying, really failed to control my tears. It was falling continuously without any break.

I was walking as fast as I could wiping my tears just then I bumped into something hard and was about to fall by losing my balance. I closed my eye's in fear but neither did I fall on the ground nor did I got hurt. I peeped through one eye to check and I got shocked after seeing the person in front of me. My body got numb and my face turned white like a ghost founding myself in an unexpected person's arms.

My heart started beating so fast that it could win the marathon race.

"Kunwar Sa," I mumbled under my breath looking into his eyes with my tear-filled eyes. Thank God he didn't hear it.

Damn!

I'm in his arms. And he is also looking at me with a shocked expression. I never got the chance to look into his eye but today I got the chance and I must say his eyes are very beautiful and deep as Ocean. I find myself drowning in those beautiful deep eyes.
