Chapter 39: Chapter 39
" Wh... What did you just say?? " He asked weakly.
" You heard me well Jayden, I fell out of love a long time ago " She said, glaring at him.
" You... " He couldn't find the right words to describe how he felt that moment.
She placed her hands on her hips and waited for him to speak.
" How could you do this after all I've done for you b*tch? " He asked quietly, anger evident in his voice.
Cass rolled her eyes " If I may ask, what did you do for me? "
" You... You ungrateful b*tch! " Suddenly, he raised his voice and started to call her all sorts of names " I've always known you were a slut and a betrayer! "
She laughed scornfully " You dare to call me a betrayer?? "
Jayden stared at her in pure disgust " Isn't that what you are?! You betrayed your friend to date me, you slut! "
" And you cheated on your girlfriend to sleep with me! " She fired back and added " Isn't that the case here? You left her because I give you good sex, am I wrong? " She smiled wickedly.
Jayden shook his head " I wish I never met you " He muttered regretfully.
" That's your f*cking business! " She said and snatched her phone from him.
" Live a good life, man whore! " She said with a sweet smile and walked out in anger.
Jayden sighed, wishing he could go back in time when he was in a happy relationship with his ex, Ava. Cassandra was a slut, he should have seen this coming but he was too blind eating her p*ssy to see the danger ahead.
" I'm going to get her back " He said aloud, referring to Ava. But how? The question hung in the air.
The last time he saw her was the day they broke up and he had heard she relocated so how on earth was he going to find her?? He was willing to try though, and with that thought in mind, he went to shower.

Morning light streamed through the window, casting a gentle glow across Ava's room. She stood before her mirror, her fingers delicately brushing through her hair as she prepared for another day at the office. Despite her routine morning preparations, her thoughts remained fixated on the events of the previous night.
Her attire, usually a quick decision, now occupied her mind. She carefully selected a professional yet chic outfit, hoping to strike a balance between approachable and competent. As she buttoned her blouse and smoothed down her skirt, her thoughts circled back to Bryan.
Doubt crept into her mind—a whisper of concern lingered about the unexpected intimacy of the previous evening. Her heart fluttered with the fear of blurring the lines between personal and professional. She fervently hoped he wouldn't bring it up today, else things would get complicated. She wanted to forget all about last night too but she couldn't. He had stirred up the feelings and sexual urge she had buried within her a long time ago and she was scared of giving in to him. She knew he could make little to no effort to get her in his bed if he wanted and she was happy things didn't go further even though a b*tchy part of her wanted him to make her feel like a woman.
In the midst of these thoughts, Ava finished the touches of her light makeup, opting for a simple yet polished look. With a deep breath to gather her composure, she grabbed her bag and headed out, closing the door behind her with a determined resolve to maintain a professional demeanor at all costs.
Outside, the city was already bustling with the rhythm of the day. Ava navigated the streets, her mind flickering between tasks for the day ahead and lingering thoughts about Bryan. She wrestled with conflicting emotions, hoping for a return to the familiar routine at work, keeping any personal undertones at bay.
Arriving at the office, she greeted her colleagues with her usual warmth, hiding the underlying unease beneath a professional facade. Settling into her workspace, she focused on her tasks, determined to bury any remnants of uncertainty about the previous night.
Some minutes later, she became so engrossed in her work and Bryan and became oblivious to her environment when a familiar voice chimed in, breaking her reverie and startling her in the process.
" Hey, Ava! You look like you're carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders today, " Bella exclaimed, her voice filled with warmth as she approached Ava's desk.
Ava's face brightened instantly at the sight of her friend. " Hey, Bella! Yeah, just one of those days, you know? " she replied, attempting to mask the turbulence within her.
Bella narrowed her eyes playfully, instantly sensing that something was amiss. " Oh, come on! Don't give me that. I know that look, " she teased, nudging Ava gently. " Guy trouble? "
Ava felt a blush creep onto her cheeks at Bella's insinuation. " Not funny, Bella, " she retorted with a chuckle, trying to play it off. " You know I don't have a guy. "
Bella leaned in closer, a mischievous glint in her eyes. " Wait a minute, " she whispered into Ava's ear, a sly grin dancing on her lips. " Bryan isn't a guy? "
Ava's cheeks flushed a deeper shade of red at Bella's teasing. She playfully swatted her friend away, trying to suppress her embarrassment. " Shh, keep it down, " Ava whispered back, her embarrassment evident in her voice. " It's not like that. "
Bella laughed softly, her eyes twinkling with amusement. " Ava, come on! I've seen the way he looks at you, " she remarked, a knowing smile tugging at her lips. " You two have chemistry. "
