Justin's POV

(The next day)

I texted Jessica what happened yesterday. I can't believe I slept for the whole day.

But one thing I don't understand, why should Jenny blame me for my dad's mistake, it's not my fault.

Dad didn't even tell me the story earlier, I can't believe he hid this from me all this time of my life.

But I made Jenny a promise, I will fix this, even if this is the last thing I will do.

(Mathematics class)

If there is one subject I hate, it's maths, but the good news is Jenny was in the class the whole time.

I tried to talk to her, but she ignored my presence, but I had a plan.

This might be risky, but I will have to try.

The period went so fast until it was time for lunch.

I went straight to lunch and saw Jenny eating with Stella and Jessica, this is great, at least she has some company.

This is nice, I have to inform Jessica about my plan.

I brought out my phone and sent her a text.

...Hey sis

She checked her phone immediately, looked at me, and sent me a reply

"Hey, you need something?"

" Yes I have a plan, and I will need your help"

" Sure, name it"

"Okay, I want you to bring Jenny to the janitors closet"

"Why?"

"So, I can talk to her, that room is the perfect place"

" Alright, at what time exactly?"

" Just bring her there, after school

" Alright, but please don't do anything stupid, just talk to her"

"No problem is"

" Alright, I will bring her there"

" Thanks, you are the best"

"No problem, good luck"

" Alright thanks"

I dipped my phone inside my pocket, I just have to be patient, after school I will explain everything to her, at least she won't hate me anymore.

Jessica's POV

I have to think of a way to convince Jenny in following me to the janitors closet.

I have no idea how to do that.

C'mon Jessica think, you are the smart one, think

Oh I got it, I have to text Stella first

Oh didn't I mention that Stella and I are best of friends already, my bad?

"Hey Stella"

"Why are you texting me? we could just talk normally, we are literally on the same table"

"I know but I don't want Jenny to know what's going on"

"Okay, what is it?"

"I need your help"

" what's up"

"I want you to take Jenny to the janitors closet"

"Why, that place stinks"

"I know, but it's a surprise for her, I want to cheer her up"

" Alright then, if it's to cheer her up, then that's fine"

" Great,"

" But there is one problem

"What"

"I always have my after school class every day"

"Oh, darn it, I guess I'll take her alone"

" Great"

"You guys sure are locked up on your phones," Jenny said interrupting what we were doing

I forgot that she was still on the table

"Oh, just checking out new stuff, no Biggie, "I said

"Alright then, shall we eat," she asked

"Sure" I picked up my French fries and placed one in my mouth

"Jenny?"I called her

"Yeah"

*I have a surprise for you"

"A surprise for me?"

"Yeah it's to cheer you up"

"Aww, that's so sweet of you guys, I love surprises, tell me"

"Well, if I tell you it won't be a surprise anymore, just meet me after school at the janitors closet"

"Janitors closet? I thought you wanna take me to the mall or something"

"Relax girl, this is going to be so awesome"

"Alright then, I guess I will see you at the janitors closet "

"Great"

(After school)

Jenny's POV

I went straight to the janitors closet for the surprise that awaits me

I can't wait to see it, at least I will get some distraction from yesterday incident.

I twisted the doorknob and entered the room.

Well it is still a janitors closet, it has all sorts of cleaning equipment, and it is still hideous

"Hello Jessica, are you there?"I called out for Jessica but no one was here

That's strange she physically said after school, sometimes I don't get this girl.

Maybe she forgot about it, let me text her.

I reached out for my phone, but I realized that there was no cell service.

"What the hell"I cursed

I need to get out of here

I tried twisting the doorknob but it was locked.

"What the fûçk is happening"

"Someone open up"I banged the door hard but no response

Is this a trick or a prank?

This is so confusing

I kept on banging the door as my life depends on it but no response.

Then I turned around to see something I can use as an object, but someone sneaked up on me.

"Ahh" I screamed on top of my lungs in fear

"Relax it's me," a similar voice said

Then I figured it out that it was Justin, what the hell does this guy wants from me

"What is your problem, I swear you are going to give me a heart attack someday, "I said pointing directly at him

"You don't have to scream your head out, just relax"

"What?, oh I see, this is your plan to rape me right"

"What? no"

"Oh, am gonna kill you"

I took a gardener fork, and point it directly to his chest, thank goodness this is the janitors closet

"Relax, Jenny, it's not what it looks like"

"I don't want to hear your simple excuse, just give me the key to the door, and I will let you leave"I moved the fork closer to his chest

"Ok, okay, relax, the key is on the table behind you"

What, behind me?

I looked back to see the key, but he grabbed my hands and pinned me to the wall

"What are you doing?"

"Relax okay, am not trying to rape, I just to talk to you"

"Talk?, haven't I told you to stay away from me"

His hands still holding both my hands above my head pinned to the wall

"Look, it either we talk and I let you go, or I keep tormenting you for the rest of your life"

"Fine"

He then let go of my hands

"Look, I asked my dad about what happened between him and your dad before, and you can't blame for my father's mistakes"

"You don't get it, Justin, you have no idea what my father is capable of, if he finds that we are started a *relationship* just to benefit ourselves, then he will forget the fact that am his daughter, and he will kill us both"

"What? Even his own daughter"

"He is military man, he doesn't care about that, because if he does, he knows that I will be his only weakness"

"Am sorry Jenny, on the behalf of my dad, am sorry, but truly it wasn't all his

fault, your dad just misjudged him"

"Really? it wasn't his fault? so it wasn't his fault when my dad saw him and my mom together on a bed, so it wasn't his fault that my father didn't trust my mother after they got married, so it wasn't his fault that my mother was pregnant with her first child and my father didn't accept the child thinking he was a bastard, so it wasn't his fault that my parents got divorced, and my dad took my custody and mum took my brother away from me, so all that wasn't his fault right?"

"Jenny I understand the pain you are going through, but all this doesn't make any sense"

"Really?, oh I guess your father didn't tell you the whole story"

"Whole story? he told me that your parents got divorced after four years of marriage"

"Oh, I guess I can tell you the remaining storyline

You see after they got divorced, and I was three years old then, then my father wanted to apologize to my mum, he looked for her everywhere but couldn't see her, then he tracked her phone and you won't believe where he saw her"

"Where?" he asked curiously

"He saw her on in your father's house and lying on your father's bed," I said tears rolling down my face

"What? dad didn't tell me that"

"Maybe he didn't want you to know how despicable he is"I pointed hard at him

"I understand what you are going through, I know what it's like to not have a mother by your side to comfort you.

You see I also had a mother, a mother that will go to any length just to make you happy"

"What do you mean Justin"

"I always mention my dad in front of you every time, but I haven't mentioned my mother before"

"Did your parents got divorced too?"I asked folding my hands

"No, she passed away"

I couldn't believe my ears, Justin doesn't have a mother, his situation is worse than mine.

"What happened to her?"I asked softly staring at his back

"She got hit by a truck right in front of me, it was my fault, I was so careless"

What does he mean by that, was he responsible for his mother's death

"Were you responsible for her death?"

"Something like that, I was a baby, she was trying to save me, but she died by the process"

"Am so sorry"

"It's okay, at least we have something in common"

"Yeah," I said softly

"Look Jenny, I didn't know that this happened to your family, I just realized it now, but never will I hurt you

The reason why I came up with this plan is to make you a class president

Have heard of you, you are strong, independent, and willing to do something

And I've also heard that you struggled to be class president

Please Jenny, just listen to me, opportunity comes but once, just let us try at least"

Justin said those given words with sincerity in his eyes

"I don't know Justin, this is too risky"

"I know you are scared of your dad, but we can keep this a secret, our parents won't know about this until we graduate, please at least think of it"

"Fine, I didn't say I fully agree to this deal, but I will think about it, and I will get back to you"

"Alright," he said sniffing

"The key?"I stretch out my hand for a request

"Oh yeah" he search his pocket for the key, and gave it to me, am just glad he didn't lose it

I went straight to the door when I heard an idea

"Um, Justin"

"Yeah" I

"Give me your phone"

He gave me his phone, still confused

I collected his phone, dialled my number inside, called myself and it rang on my phone

"Here" I gave him his phone

"I call you okay so that we can talk"

"Alright"

he replied smiling heavenly

"See you later"

"Bye Jenny
