Chapter 43: Chapter 43
I stood up and went to his study. My hands were cold as ice. My throat was dry. I felt my energy being drained out of me by each step I took closer. It's not easy, I know. I bit my lips as I knocked.
"Come in."Upon hearing his voice my body froze as my heart began to thump loudly. My mind was hazy. I gulped as I entered. I looked at him while he was sitting on the sofa. I took a seat on either side of the sofa.
"Violet."
"Raymond."
We both called each other. I looked at him,
"You first, "I said.
"I think I should."He said sternly. His voice was different.
"Violet.. I've decided... I am tired of this game of obsession..."
He passed me some paper and began to say in a cold tone,
" I'm going to free you "I tilt my head in confusion but his eyes are so serious and cold. His eyes are those ruthless eyes which I saw in him at first. The coldness. The heartlessness. Superiority. Everything, Is of the Raymond I used to despite because I didn't know him.
"Come again?"I asked. I have a bad feeling about it.
"I have decided to release you from this marriage." I blinked at him. My mind went black. I felt nothingness come over me as the only word escaped my lips.
"What?" Thinking I might have heard him wrong.
"You heard it right."His voice was so icy. Was it easy for him? Can he let go of me so easily? I don't know what took over me that time as I stood up as yelled my feelings,
"WHY!? CAN'T YOU SEE THAT I AM TRYING SO HARD TO TURN THIS OBSESSION INTO LOVE. THAT I AM TRYING SO HARD TO BE LOVED BY YOU. THAT I WANT YOU TO TRUST ME, TO LOVE ME. CAN'T YOU SEE THAT I LOVE YOU DAMN IT!! I UNDERSTAND THAT SOME BITCH LEFT YOU BUT I AM NOT LIKE HER!! I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU!!.... Can't you see that I am desperate for your love... For you to love me... I want this marriage to work out. I'll do anything. You want to claim me as yours Do It. But.. please ...don't do that...I Love you, Raymond...Please... I want to live the rest of my life with you, please don't push me away,"I began to sob, letting out all the talks of my heart. But, on the other hand, Raymond, who was sitting blankly. He looked at me with shock and said,
"Who told you about Vanessa?"I looked at him in disbelief. Did he even hear that I confessed my love for him?
"Celine did."I scoffed.
He stood up and walked toward me. I felt really broken to do anything.
"When you still love her, why did you marry me? You should have bound her here instead of me."I felt my heart being broken when those words escaped my lips.
He just stared at me blankly. I opened my mouth to say something but he crashed his lips on mine. I was shocked. But, soon I closed my eyes and kissed him back with the same passion emitting from him. He pulled me close to him as I ran my fingers through his soft raven lock.
After a while, we pulled away. We both are panting as he laughed,
"Sorry... Forgive this idiotic husband of yours..I ... I failed to realize your efforts and pushed you away."He rubbed his neck nervously as I chuckled,
"You forgot something, Mr Raymond. Do that and you'll be forgiven."
The moment these words escape my lips he picked me up like bridal style,
"I am at your command, Mrs Raymond."...
..And I let him consummate our marriage...

Raymond POV:-
I can't believe I claimed her. I mark her as mine. She's officially mine. My heart is fluttering with happiness. She belongs to me. She is mine in every way. Mine. I felt so happy. I want to shout out in happiness. She is my salvation. My everything. I couldn't believe I would live the most gratifying night with my heart connected with hers as my love moves in rhythms with hers.
I was sleeping as I was tired...from last night. But someone poked me. I growled in annoyance but then I felt fingers on my stomach, trying to tickle me but I didn't laugh.
"It's futile, love," I told her with a smirk. I opened my eyes and saw my beloved wife with a pout,
"You are no fun.."She complained. I chuckled. She was about to get up but I pulled her toward me. She squealed in shock but then relaxed in my embrace. Her head was resting on my chest as she wraps her arms around me,
"I love you, Violet..."
"I love you too..."
It felt so good to have her in my arms like that, I don't want this moment to end ever. Violet then giggled,
"What?"I asked
"2 months left for our anniversary..."
Oh yeah...It's almost a year since our marriage. I felt really happy. Nothing can make me happier than this. I smiled as I pulled her close to me.
"I am so happy," I said as I kissed her forehead. She smiled as broke the hug,
"Come on! Get up!"She said as she got out of the bed,
"You sure are energetic..."
"I am!"She said as she left for the bathroom. I smiled. The feelings she made me feel I never thought that I could feel them again.
She came out and began to pull my arm.
"COME OUT!!"She shouted at me,
"I am tired," I said as I pulled her toward me again. Her hair is wet. She has just taken a shower. I inhaled her sweet scent. It was so intoxicating. But my sweet wife is not in the mood for any cuddling. She got out of my grip again and left
"I will see you, Violet!"I growled at her but she left laughing.
"Yeah Yeah!!"I heard her laughing.
I got out of bed and washed. I knew that she's in the kitchen. I entered and hugged her from behind as all the servants left silently. I bit her earlobe and said huskily,
"..Who told you that you can enter the kitchen?.."She giggled as she put a hand on her waist.
"Hmm...Let me think..No one.."She said.
I smirked as I said,
"Fly.."Her smile fades away as she becomes angry.
"I hate you Raymond!"She said as she closed her arms and turned away. I laughed.
"You are so mean!"She yelled again. As I continued laughing.
"Kenneth was right...You hate that nickname!"I tried to control my laugh but couldn't.
"Baby!"She yelled again,
"Fly, "I said. She tried to walk away but I held her wrist and pulled her towards me,
"Okay, I am sorry."I smiled. But she looked away.
"I am not making anything for you."She said childishly.
"Then, How about I cook for you?"I offered,
"You can cook?"She asked, surprised.
"No," I said as she frowned but smiled again,
"Let's cook together!"She asked so cheerfully so I couldn't say no to her.
