September was skeptical as he entered their house and was welcomed with darkness.
He was sure that his wife had gone home at this time though.
"Maeve? Hon?" He called out while he's taking off his shoes and changing into comfortable home slippers.
"Fiona? Daddy's here... Where are you?" He asked with his forehead creasing.
"Hon?" He called out once again after he switched on the lights.
He was about to call out again when he noticed the path of rose petals on the ground. He smirked when he realized that the path was towards their bedroom.
Hmm. Was it one of his wife's naughty days?
He silently followed the path of flowers while removing his necktie.
He detoured a bit to check Fiona's room only to find it empty. Fiona's probably playing with Falcon's daughter.
September's lips parted when he entered the room.
The whole room was filled with the relaxing aroma of the scattered candles around. Flower petals were allover the room too.
He then felt Maeve's arms circled on his waist.
"You're so late," she said as she rained soft kisses on his neck.
September turned around to face her with a smile.
"What's this all about?" He asked softly.
"We're both busy with work and we don't have much time together. I missed you, you know." She said pouting.
September chuckled as he cupped her cheeks and pulled her closer for a kiss.
"How 'bout Fiona?" He asked in between kisses while their hands were busy taking off each other's clothes.
"A sleepover," Maeve answered before she wildly devoured her husband's lips.
September kissed back with the same ferocity. It's been a while since they've been this intimate and his body was reacting too quickly.
Maeve groaned a pleasured sound when September pinned her on their bed. Her arms above her head as September rained her neck with tiny and soft kisses.
"September..." She moaned when she felt him softly caressing her.
"Hmm?" September replied as he stared at his wife with eyes filled with love and desires.
"Do you like this?" He asked as he slowly tormented her with slow moving of his fingers.
"Yes. Please! September! Please!" Maeve begged as she writhed with pleasure.
September smiled before he bent down a bit to catch her lips once again.
Maeve was too lost with the pleasure her husband was giving her. She had her release twice before she recalled that she planned to do the action tonight.
With that in mind, she surprised her husband when she swapped their positions. She's now seated on top of him, still catching her breath from her previous release.
"What are you doing?" September asked as he stared at his wife who was pushing him to lie down on bed.
"Hmm? What do you think?" Maeve asked in a seductive tone before sucking the skin of his neck, making him groan in pleasure and pain.
"I love the sound of your moan, hon." She whispered to his ears as she nibbled on his earlobes.
Her fingers ran down his chest to his well-toned stomach. Making him groan even more.
September was panting as Maeve do wonders around his body. He wanted to ask her to stop tormenting him but the pleasure was just too much for him to even utter a single word right.
"Where did you learned all that?" He asked now that he's back on control. He was now hovering on top of her, lovingly setting her hair aside.
She looked extremely attractive as she stare back at him with those half-closed eyes.
"Why? You didn't liked it?" She asked, her hands sensually massaging his shoulders.
"You're really making up with our busy days huh?" He asked huskily as he leaves some marks just above her chest.
"Hmm. I missed you," she confessed that made September's heart tender. He gently caressed her cheeks, he smiled when she closed her eyes slowly as if she's cherishing that moment.
"I missed you too," he whispered back before he claimed her lips once again.
The room was then filled with sounds of love and desires. September made sure that his wife was satisfied and Maeve also worked hard to return the favor.
They were both panting as soon as September finally laid down beside his wife.
Maeve snuggled inside September's arms and sighed contentedly as soon as she felt his warm arms around her.
"I felt like I like this better than any blankets," she said making September chuckle.
"Really?"
"Hmm. This is much warmer than those," she answered as she snuggled closer. She can feel his body heat since they were just both covered with a blanket and nothing more beneath.
"I love you," he whispered. Maeve smiled with her eyes closed before moving in closer to his body.
September smiled at the gesture before he rounded his arms around her and pulled her even closer, before he closed his eyes and slept too.
He woke up around three in the morning, Maeve was sound asleep in his arms. He stared at his wife's face for a while before he gently left the bed, replacing his place with a pillow.
He went to the bathroom first to clean up and wearing his robe, he went to balcony of their room and watch the skies full of stars.
He sighed heavily.
Things seems to be so smooth lately. It's so quiet that it actually made him a bit nervous.
He knew that a storm was coming his way. He can feel it, but unlike before, he doesn't have any plan against that storm. He'll let that storm pass him by, destroy him if needed.
"Why are you here?" He smiled as he felt her embrace him from the back. He carefully swapped their position and put her in front of him as he hugged her from the back.
"The skies are full of stars tonight," he whispered by her ears. Maeve looked up and immediately beamed as she watched the twinkling stars above them.
"September,"
"Hmm?"
"Do you know you're my star?"
"Huh?" He asked confused.
"My life before was like a dull night sky. Dark and lonely..." She said as she softly caressed his arms that were placed around her waist.
"But now that I have you, my life's brighter and more lively." She said while her eyes remained on the sky.
September's arms around her tightened.
"And I plan to keep it that way," he whispered in a low voice that even Maeve wasn't able to hear.
