Chapter 41: Chapter 41

●Daniel's P.O.V.●

I was sitting in the hotel room. It was 9 pm already. After watching Nuri and Ray together, I couldn't stand there anymore. I came back to the hotel as soon as I could without thinking about anything else. But after reaching the hotel, I understood I shouldn't have acted so rashly.

"She must have misunderstood.

I should have explained to her." I thought, feeling guilty.

"But why did she hug Ray???

She doesn't even know him!

They barely met two or three times accidentally." I became mad again.

I heard the roaring sound of thunder outside the hotel.

My eyes fell on the phone screen. It had already been 1.5 hours since I left Nuri with Ray. One part of me wanted to find Nuri and explain everything. But the other part was bound by my self-respect and anger.

But soon I remembered Nuri's crying face and I couldn't stop myself from going outside and finding her.

I went out and looked for them in nearby places. I couldn't find any traces of Nuri. I tried to call her so many times, but her phone was switched off long ago.

I felt helpless. I couldn't understand where Nuri could have gone. Finally, I decided to find her at Ray's hotel. But reaching there, I understood even though Ray hadn't come back to the hotel yet.

I dialled Ray's number, which I took from his friend. But his phone was switched off too.

I was now sickly worried for her.

"Where could this girl be ??" I frowned as I searched around me.

I was walking through the streets to find her while analysing every passer-by girl. But I still couldn't find Nuri. I was getting angrier as every minute passed. How could she just run away like that and turn her phone off? How?

Soon, some raindrops touched my hands and face. I glanced up and realised rain could start any minute soon.

I started having bad thoughts about Nuri, "Is she safe?

What if she is still wandering around?

What if that Ray guy is still with him?

What if he tries something bad on her ???"

My face went pale. I couldn't just stop searching for Nuri.

I tried to find her in the alleys, streets.

Also, I asked strangers about Nuri by showing her picture on my phone.

They all said no. I was becoming more restless and worried as every second passed. The rain started.

My clothes were already soaked in rain.

But I couldn't just go back yet. I needed to find Nuri.

"She looked really hurt when she saw Yoonah hugging me." I thought.

"That damn woman! I just want to kill you, Yoonah!

Why did you have to enter at a moment when everything was going smoothly??" I yelled.

I saw other people taking shades to save themselves from the rain. I tried to find Nuri in them, but she wasn't there either. She wasn't anywhere.

"Where she could have gone all of a sudden!!!!"

I dialled Nuri's number and Ray's number again and again, but both numbers were switched off.

"Aaaaiiissshhh!!!!!" I yelled in frustration.

"Can't she understand how much I care for her?

Can't she understand what I feel when she is not around for more than some time?

How can she just disappear like this? Why is she giving me this punishment without even hearing my explanation?? Why??"

I felt weak. I didn't know what to do anymore.

I Walked lifelessly in the rain. And after a few minutes of walking, I was again standing in front of our hotel. The feeling that something might have happened to Nuri was eating me from inside.

I decided to wait for her for one more hour and then go to the police station.

I stood in front of the hotel and stared at it blankly. Nuri's eyes, when she saw us hugging, were repeating in my head again and again. I sighed, looking at the ground.

I could feel people staring at me. They must be thinking that I was crazy to soak into rainwater without any reason.

They didn't know what was going inside me.

I was screaming inside my head.

I was worried.

I was scared. I just wanted to see Nuri. I was getting crazy to see her safe for once.

"Please be safe, Nuri..." I whispered as I closed my eyes.

I didn't know why but I hoped that Nuri would hear my whisper. And would appear in front of me magically. But I knew it wasn't possible at all in reality.

Finally, I decided to check Ray's hotel one more time. I thought they could have come back when I was gone. I opened my eyes again and glanced up.

But I was shocked. My breath stopped for a moment. I blinked a couple of times, trying to understand if I was watching the right thing.

Because I saw Nuri was standing before my eyes with an umbrella in her hand. But breaking my confusion soon, she ran to me and placed the umbrella over my head.

"Yaaahh!!! Are you crazy?

Why are you soaking yourself to death, standing in the rain ?" She scolded.

I felt lighter in my heart. All the pressure, all the worry, all the anger just evaporated by watching Nuri safe, standing before my eyes. Tears fell on my cheeks as my lips curved into a smile.

I couldn't feel better than this again. I stared at Nuri for a few seconds up and down.

"Yah!!! Have you become deaf, huh ??

Can't you hear me?

Answer me !!" - She said again, frowning.

I didn't waste a single second anymore and wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled Nuri closer. At this point, I didn't care who was watching. I just felt better than ever in her arms. I buried my nose in her neck and smelled her familiar smell. Her body became stiff inside my embrace. I tightened my grip on her waist.

"Daniel …?" Her voice came as a whisper. But it was music to my ear.

"Don't you dare leave me again," I said, feeling the warmth of her?

"I love You, Miss India. More than anything else in this world. More than myself.

I am not sure if I can survive without you anymore. So don't disappear again.." I said, still embracing Nuri.

I could feel her heartbeats fastened. It was the same as me. I couldn't describe in words what I was feeling, finally confessing my feelings to her.

I felt happy, but Suddenly my head started aching, and everything seemed blurry before my eyes. I tried to stay awake. But I was feeling too dizzy to keep my eyes open anymore.

Soon, I gave up and closed my eyes as I drowned in darkness.
