I leaned back.

Daniel glanced at me with his shocked face. Then he swallowed hard.

"What? You heard me. Right?" I smirked.

He nodded with his wide eyes.

"Then do it!" I ordered.

"Eh?"

I chose not to say anything. And only smiled. Daniel looked down at his shirt and started buttoning it. I let out a little giggle as I saw him obeying my word like a good kid.

After buttoning his shirt, he also pulled down his shirt sleeves to the wrist. Then Daniel cleared his throat and glanced back at me with an innocent expression as if he was waiting for the next command.

I tilted my head a little "What ?"

Daniel came back to reality, and his blinking increased. Then he sighed.

After that, he again unlocked his phone screen, and I felt my anger returning.

"Is he going to be busy on his phone again?" I thought.

I cleared my throat dramatically. Daniel froze at his place and glanced at me.

"What?" He asked innocently.

"Nothing! Have I said anything to you?" I asked while acting dumb.

I crossed my arms and stared at him with a tiny smile on my lips. He stared back for some time. I didn't know what was he finding in my eyes, but I felt he was trying to understand my current wish.

After staying like that for a few minutes, Daniel heaved a sigh, averting his gaze to his phone screen. Then he locked his phone screen and put it inside his jeans pocket.

Right after that, Daniel glanced at me and patted his shoulder. I stared at him with confused eyes. Then he again patted his shoulder.

I blinked a couple of times, and I placed my head hesitatingly on his shoulder. And Daniel's hand touched my head.

He started patting my head softly without any words. I froze at first. Why was he behaving this way?

But he kept patting my head, and It felt oddly good.

I didn't know if the Ac stopped working or my temperature increased. But I felt warm all of a sudden without any reason. And the journey went like that.

It took us 40 minutes to reach Suwon station from Seoul station. As the door opened for the train, Daniel held my hand, and we exited the train. I glanced at his hand on mine and then at him.

He stared at me for a few seconds and smiled, and then he started walking forward.

As we exited the station, we took the bus to reach the Paldalmun Gate, which is located on the south end of Suwon Hwaseong Fortress.

We sat on a seat in front of the bus and had a good view of the road and streets ahead.

About 15 minutes later, an English language automated voice message on the bus announced each stop. And also, I noticed Paldalmun Gate. Hence, I understood already it's time to hop off.

Paldalmun Gate is popularly known as Nammun. The crescent-shaped walls are to protect Hongseong, and the secondary wall adds to protect the main walls protecting it from enemies.

We purchased tickets for admission to Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, Hwaseong Haenggung Palace, Suwon Museum, and Suwon Hwaseong Museum.

This time we took a guide as Mr. Handsome hadn't visited here before.

Hwaseong Fortress is situated at the centre of Suwon.The fortress was built as a World Heritage site by UNESCO at the time of the Josean Dynasty to protect the King's place from enemies. It has magnificent gates, notably Hwaseomun in the west,

Changnyongmun in the east, Paldalmun in the south, Jangjanmun in the north, and many more in different directions.

To the side of the Paldalmun Gate, we followed a path along the edge of the fortress wall up Paldalsan Mountain.

The first big landmark is Seonamammun (the Secret Gate). It's not that far, but the steps aren't very easy to walk.

The next landmark we saw was Hyowon's Bell, which was made to honor King Jeongjo.

The guide said something excitedly, pointing at the bell, but I couldn't understand it. Daniel was standing beside me, crossing his arms over his chest. I glanced at him in confusion.

He chuckled. I gave an annoyed look. Then he finally translated, "He said, You can pay about 1,000 KRW to ring the bell and make a wish,"

"I will. I will." I replied excitedly.

Daniel and I stood beside each other as we closed our eyes and wished.

After wishing, I opened my eyes, and Daniel was already staring at me.

"What did you wish for?" I asked.

"I won't tell !" He answered coldly.

"Wae ???? Why not ?" I complained.

"Or else it won't come true !" He forced a smile as he said.

"Okay! Fine ~ I won't tell either." I answered with a pout.

And Daniel shrugged. I was disappointed. For some unknown reason, I really wanted to know what he wished for.

But my idea didn't work.

It was a very steep staircase, but it got better once we reached the summit. The journey made us tired but the view from the fortress wall over Suwon was beautiful.

I took a deep fresh breath as I stood there watching the view from high.

After regaining our breath, we strolled along the wall admiring the views.

Soon, we arrived at the ornate Hwahongmun Pavilion, which provided us with gorgeous views over the city of Suwon.

We passed through the Hwaseomun Gate and progressed to a lower part of the wall leading to the Janganmun Gate.

Janganmun is notable because it's the biggest gate in the whole country.

After visiting the place, the time was 4 pm, and we were pretty hungry, so we made our way back to Paldalmun. We finished our meal from a little restaurant and hopped on to the bus.

We bought dinner on our way back to the apartment.

Daniel and I were tired after today's visit to Suwon. But we took a lot of pictures and enjoyed it a whole lot.

And I noticed Daniel was not avoiding me anymore.

I was waiting for Daniel to leave the washroom so I could take a shower and change my clothes. As I checked my phone, I saw there were seven missed calls from Mom.

"Shit! Shit! Shit! How can I forget to call Mom?" I was hitting my forehead for the blunder when my phone rang, and it was mom's video call.

I took a deep breath as I received the call.

"Where were you !!!! Can't you check your damn phone ?????!!" - Mom yelled from the opposite side.

"Sorry, sorry, Mom. I was really tired today, so I forgot to call you." I said while smiling awkwardly.

"Have you had your dinner yet ?" Mom asked with an annoyed face.

"Not yet. But I have bought it. I will eat it now." I said, giving a wide smile.

"Don't smile that wide. You look weird!" Mom said without any expression.

"Are you really My mother ?"

"Are you doing fine? I am worried." I heard a concerned voice.

Mom was really concerned. It was my first trip alone to a foreign country. I couldn't say what happened to me, or she would be more scared. I just smiled and said, " I am, Mom. How are you ?"

"I am fine here. You don't have to worry about us. Just come back home safely." Mom said as she seemed very upset.

"Awww. Are you missing me? I will soon, mom." I said, smiling.

"Fine. Now go and have dinner.

And call me tomorrow, okay?."

"Okay, Mom~,"

"Good Night." Mom greeted me.

I was about to say Good Night when Daniel came out of the washroom and asked, "Let's have dinner. Ah, I am tired today !"

"Did I just hear a Boy talking ?" Mom asked with a shocked face.

Daniel was standing behind my phone. So I looked at him with shock and signalled "I am in a video call" while I covered my phone camera. He covered his mouth with both of his hands.

"No, no, Mom, it's the tv !" I said as I laughed awkwardly.

"Are you sure? " Mom asked with doubt.

"Yes, Mom," I said as I signalled Daniel to say anything else.

Daniel glanced at me with confusion. Then he got my point and started acting by reading some weather report as a journalist in the Korean language while wearing a towel only in front of me.

The scene was so funny to watch Daniel reading the news in a towel that I couldn't wait for more. I said Good Night to Mom, disconnected the call, and burst out laughing on the bed like crazy.

Daniel stood there, placing his hands on his waist, and stared at me with anger.

"For you, I read the news in a Towel !" He said, making a grumpy face.

I kept laughing as I rolled on the bed. Daniel stepped near me as he kept staring at me.

"Stop Laughing !" Daniel ordered.

But no use. I still kept laughing. Then Daniel suddenly walked to the bed and leaned as close as possible to me, and placed his hands from the corner of my neck, trapping me under his body.

"Stop Laughing," Daniel said politely.

His eyes met mine. He was uncomfortably close, staring down at my eyes. I stopped laughing and blinked a couple of times.

"Woah~ You suddenly became a good girl! Why ?" He scoffed.

"I-I~" I felt my voice was gone all of a sudden. I couldn't speak.

He raised an eyebrow as he smirked. His golden-brown eyes were fixed on mine.

What was I supposed to say here?
