Chapter 47: Chapter 47
She groaned in irritation, she was so engrossed in her book, and she wasn't ready for any of his naughty talks or naggings. She wanted to be alone, but she knew so well he wouldn't leave her breathe if she didn't go out.
With a grimaced expression; she wore a pitch loose cotton buba, draped the veil from her head and sauntered out of the room. It was already 9:05, she vowed not to stay more than five minutes there, as the book she was reading couldn't let her breathe.
She entered the living room with a fleeting smile on her lips, as the fragrance hit her nostrils, she couldn't remember using the bakhoor in week's time. Shrugging the thought off, she on her phone's flash light, as it was dark everywhere and went to switch on the led lights.
But a sparkling box, wrapped in a gift leather caught her attention, it wasn't the only thing, there were many gifts there. May be he has a birthday to attend she thought, but still walked to the sofa.
She layed her hand on the box, and the whole room was engulfed in a dim light, but clear enough for one to see everything.
To say she was shocked would be an understatement, it was decorated in dark purple flowers and milk balloons. Red and white roses where bedeckend and reads "HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARUB".
She closed her mouth with her palm, how would she forget? Innalillahi. This explains all the hushed talks Al-amin was having with Ihsan and Sulaiman before they went out, why they stayed behind, the talks when they came back and all the smirkings Sulaiman was sending her way.
She took the box, unwrapped it, and it emote a beautiful silver wristwatch. She could remember when she saw it in a super market, and begged for Ya Husna and Ya Yusuf to buy it for her, but they played mum. A small paper falls from the watch..
Happy birthday kid sis. I love you. Here is the watch you had been longing for.
--Yusuf.
She didn't knows when tears started rolling down her cheeks, she was angry at them for forgetting about her birthday, only her husband would. But now, she was speechless, she had the best family.
Before she could took another gift, Al-amin entered the living room, looking simple but dashingly handsome, with a loving smile plastered on his lips.
He sat beside her, their hips brushing each other, but she couldn't mind, alot has been floating in her brain. He took the watch from her laps and placed another gift on it, he beckoned for her open it, and she abide.
It was an expensive gold necklace, it looked expensive. A small note was pinned beside it..
Happy birthday Ummina! I was always there for all of your birthdays, from the birth day itself. But you're now a woman, whom will have her own family soon. Be obedient to your husband, and do have a blastful birthday, as always.
Your Mama missed you.
She couldn't control her tears anymore, she missed Mama to the extent that she couldn't vocalize it. She missed her delicious cookings, her scoldings, her preachings, her smile alone could melt a mountain. Not to her daily prayers. She missed everything about her.
"I miss you so much that it hurts, Mama," she choked between sobs.
Al-amin grisp her hand tightly in a placating way, he knew she would cry upon seeing them, and was happy when they just sent her gifts, but that didn't help either.
He took the necklace's box from her lap and put the another one on it. She cleared her tears, with a tremulous hand, she opened it.
It was a book that reads 'PREGNANCY CARE', with new set of baby shawls neatly folded. She let out a sombre laugh, when would Ya husna change?. She took the paper on the book, it reads..
My Baby sis is plus one. Happy birthday sis, Ya husna and Amrah baby wuvvs you alot. Read the book, it would be of great help to you, the shawls too. I can't wait for my niece or nephew. Bye baby Mama, be preggy before the end of this month.
With love, Ma Amrah.
She was sobbing hard now, she felt lonely; despite sitting close to the love of her life, she wanted to be in her family. She missed them, their laughs, smiles, fights, and everything.
Al-amin used his thumb and cleared her tears, shooked his head, emanating he doesn't want to see the tears. She flashed him a genuine smile amidst sobs and took another gift, unwrapped it, and her blood froze.
It was two expensive perfumes, a du'a book, and a brand new iPhone X, with a small note pinned on the perfumes. She took the paper, tongue tied, she wasn't expecting something close to these.
Happy birthday my dear daughter. I know you will be astounded, because you knew I wasn't the father for birthdays and all those fancy stuffs. But what will one do when he misses his beloved daughter? Had to the the things he knew she would love I guess.
I wish you'll use that book, make reading it a habit of yours, Ummi. Use the phone wisely, don't let it embroil you in sinful acts. And spray the perfumes clearlessly, as I would always be there to buy new ones. #teamloveperfumes.
Be obedient to your husband, and make me proud. May Allah continue to bless your union.
Baba missed his Ummi chaku.
She completely broke down, as Al-amin hugged her. She clutch his shirt tightly and sobbed on his chest, her tears soaking his shirt.
"I missed them so much, it hurts," she whimpered, sobbing harder.
He rocked them, drawing soothing circles on her back, and blewing soft ear into her ears; placatingly. He slowly broke their hug "They won't be happy when they see you crying on your special day, so clear those tears off, and unwrap Sulaiman's gift," he conjuctured pacifyingly.
She cleared the tears and took the last gift, chuckling at how vast the box was, she unwrapped it and got flabbergasted.
It was a carton full of sweets, chocolates, candies, packaged ice creams, chewing gums, and many edible sugary products. She let out a hearty laugh, Sulaiman will never grow up. She took the note and read out with a wide grin plastered on her lips.
I know you would heartily laugh when you see what's inside the box, you would be like "Yaronnan har yanzu bai girma ba," (In your voive Mrs). Well__where should I start Ya Ummi? Congratulating you or myself? Because I knew I would be an uncle soon.
Anyways__Happy birthday so much the light of our house, it has became dull since you left. How I wished I was there for your wedding? God! Danayi wulakanci. Break every rule you thinks of, even if it's Ya Al-amin's neck, ba wani abu, we will take him to the hospital.
I love you so much Ummina (in Mama's voice). Had to go now, Mama has been yelling my name tun dazu (annoyed face).
Sulele missed you so bad that it hurts.
"Take me there, Al-amin. Please," she whined, as tears washed down her face. Again.
"It's okay, Arub. We will, but not soon okay?" He speculated, stroking her hair.
She cleared her tears, and they had their dinner. It was a silent dinner, they only shared laconic words when she gisted him about her life, her family, their memorable moments, he would laugh and smiled at her, while she would reciprocated with gracious smile.
They sat on the same sofa, ensconced in the warmth of eachother, as she rested her head on his chest, whilst he kept stroking her hair; of which the veil was long flinged.
"Arub," he called out, looking at her.
"Yes? And before you say something; what's the meaning of this Arub?" She inquired, fixing her gaze on his handsome face.
He flashed her a million dallar smile "Arub means wife loved by her husband; loves her husband," he acknowledged, sitting upright, and she sat upright too.
She blushed and nodded for him to continue, as she couldn't trust her words. She was still angry with him__remember?
He held her hands in his and placed a car key and a frame in her hand. It was a brand new and expensive car's key (pardon me woo, I'm not into cars. So a car name suggestion, so I could edit and write it). In the frame was nothing but the picture that Sulaiman snapped them in the afternoon, it was bedecked with hearts, as a note was written cursively.
'Love; is the most beautiful creation of Allah. Love you always'
Her face was devoid of emotion, her eyes held an unfathomable feeling, while his love was ebbing unconditionally in her heart. Tears started glistening her eyes, but he quickly shook his head as No.
"Aysha, you've always complained of me not wishing you on any of your birthdays. As I've always said 'guest of honour always arrives at last', so here I am, at late; as usual, wishing you a blastful amd mesmerizing birthday ever. I love you so much, Arub.
I know I've betrayed your trust, when you were in need to trust someone. I've broke your heart numerous times, when all it wants was to be loved amd cared for. I've snubbed you, when all you yearned for was to talk to someone. It was so invigorating of me, I couldn't fathom the angel that you are, nor could I fathom the rare gem I was about to lose.
Allah being the merciful, he gave me you as a wife, despite my shortcomings. I know I haven't deserve you, being broken by the person you love wasn't easy to deal with. I've said many I'm sorrys, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't make another mistake to you.
You were benevolent to me, but all I could reciprocate to you was an agonizing heart breaks. Despite all I've done, you still stood by me, and didn't left me. I love you so much, Aysha," he took a deep breath, smiling lovingly at her before he continued, as he took a glimpse of the tears that rolled down her cheeks.
"I think today would be the day I would love to tell you how much I love you. You're one of a kind, the lady whom has the most unique and amazing golden heart. You've completed me, guided me, makes me happy, I couldn't be more grateful. Having you in my life was one of my utmost vainglorious achievements.

Being ensconced in the exquisite of your gracious orbs is the most amazing feeling ever. It's a feeling worth embedding. Your lips makes me drool, they were those luscious lips that has the words that could pierce through one's heart. Your words would forever be mesmerizing and sensational; whom the most congenial and amiable voice erupted.
I would like to wish you the most fascinating and marvellous birthday ever. As you were born on this day; when the wind was blewing softly, the sun smiling jovially, the stars sparkling gorgeously, the clocks stood firm; ready to salute to the world's most beautiful and exquisite queen. My wife.

Ummi wouldn't need any confirmation, she swiftly engulfed him in a bone crashing hug. As their bodies merged, she completely broke into tears, grisping hard, clutching him so hard that she thinks it would crash his bone.
They stood there, feeling the heartbeat of eachother, the silence emoting their unequivocal love towards eachother. She rested her head on his chest, sobbing silently, as her hands were wrapped tighly against his torso.
"I love you so much, Al-amin, to the extent that it hurts. Badly. You estranged yourself from me, when I needed you the most. You broke my heart when all it wants was to be loved back. It was hard to tell my self that I couldn't have you, I couldn't date another guy since we broke up. It was always you, it's you, and would forever be you.
I couldn't be more grateful for having you as my husband. I love you, Mi esposo," she whimpered silently, clutching him more.
He slightly broke the hug, and fixed his gaze on her luscious lips. "Can I?" He asked, intently watching at her puff red luscious lips.
She couldn't answer, but merged their lips, as she was craving for him, she wanted him, so bad. Her action took him unawares, he wasn't expecting her to give in, talkless of leaning in first.
The kiss was worth embeding, it emotes all the feeling bneath their hearts and souls. It was mesmerizing and sensational.
Ummi reluctantly broke their lips as they gasped for breathe. She felt his intense gaze on her, and slowly lifted her eyes up. She couldn't withsatnd the look, so she slowly yanked her eyes and blushed.
"Up for a second round?" He asked in a seductive tone.
Her eyes almost bulged out, she knew that voice of his; unwilling to give up, and she wasn't ready for another session of unbearable pain. Before he could reach for her; she swiftly sprinted to her room, and yelled "Goodnight Mi esposo, I'm not ready. You have to apologize for that 'forcefully'," she enunciated amicably and chuckled.
Al-amin brushed down his trimmed hair with his hand, a truimphant and ecstatic smile plastered on his lips. The kiss alone would make his year, albeit he wanted more of her.
He sauntered to his room jitterly, took a soothing shower, the smile not leaving his face. He finished his sleeping processes and slumped on his bed. He took his phone and was appalled on seeing numerous missed calls. What caught his attention more was 'Laila'.
He hissed and dailed Ihsan's number.

Ummi couldn't stop grinning, everything felt surreal and perfect. Yes they would finally live as every married couples.
She bathe, changed into her pyjamas as she slumped on her bed, long forgotten about the book she was reading. She was reminiscing the whole incidents, from yesterday's, to today's.
She heard a weak knock on her door, she choosed to ignore it but he kept knocking, and it loomed urgency.
She got down from bed and unlocked the door, only for her to see Al-amin in a devastated state, his eyes were bloodshot probably from crying. Upon seeing her; Al-amin engulfed her into a hug, and broke into tears.
She hugged him back with tremulous hands, what happened? They just departed some minutes ago? Why the change of mood and state?
"What happened, Al-amin? Why are you crying? Why the sudden mood?" She spoke haltingly, afraid of what would be his answer.
He didn't talk, but clutched onto her__more. She vigorously shaked him "What is it? You're scaring the hell out of me, Al-amin," Ummi choked, as lone of tears washed down her face. She couldn't withstand seeing him crying.
"Mami, Arub. Mami," he croaked, and together; they slumped on the ground.
Innalillahi! What happened to Mami? Ya rabbi not now!
