Chapter 46: Chapter 46
One could only hear her sobs, her painful whimpers and silent wailings. She held her body tight with her hands, as she put her head amidst her legs, crying in an excruciating and anguish way; her back was resting against his bed's head.
How would he do that to her? Didn't he said her loves her and will do everything for her to forgive him? Is this the best way of getting her forgiveness?
He first accused her of betraying him, wasn't that enough for her heart to shatter? But that wasn't enough for him, he still had to take the most priced posession in her, of which she wasn't ready to give out, not now. Not to him, not forever!
Meanwhile; Al-amin held his head in an agonizing lamentation. He was sitted far away from her, at the edge of the bed. Was was he thinking? Why would he do such a thing? Accusing her at the first place could break her heart, not to the forever unforgettable deed he has done.
Her wails and distraughted whimpers pierced directly through his Aorta, how would he do such a thing? He doesn't deserve her forgiveness, not now and ever. He too thought he was joking when he intended to have his right; forcefully. He became lured with lust when he layed his hand on her baby-ish skin. By Allah; it was the most wobbly and flawless skin he had ever touched, not even a baby's.
The volume of her sobs was becoming higher with each passing minute, they were tears of anguish and sheer sadness. He haltingly moved close to her, with tremulous hands; he touched her bare shoulder, how her temperature was badly hot petrified him.
Before he could scupper what was happening, she abruptly shrugged his filthy hand off, shooting him an agitated and crest fallen look.
"Aysha, please, dan Allah, find a place in your heart and forgive me. I was lured with the bareness of your wobbly skin. Wallahi it was just to scare you, but things got out of my control," he confided, the lamentation was palpable in his voice, he sounded miserable.
She thunderedly looked up, her bloodshot eyes were emoting everything but hatred and sadness. She was in an agonizing pain that couldn't be vocalized.
"Wallahi, Al-amin, never in your lifetime dream of laying those filthy hands of yours on my body. And you were saying you was lured ko? To me yakai hannunka har kaga wobbly skin din inba tsabar iskanci ba? (What brought your hands to the wobbly skin if not naughtiness?) You raped me! And you were happy you've collected your goddam right! Forcefully," she assimilated, making sure her words got directly into his dumb brain, she made sure she emphasized the 'forcefully'.
He palmed his anxious face, and heaved a sigh; full with remorse. This wasn't going to be easy, there was no scintilla of success somewhere close to soon. It would be as tough to crack as a diamond and as heavy and gigantic as the mountain Kilimanjaro.
"Arub, for Allah's sake, dan girman Allah I'm so sorry, you shouldn't have raised your voice at me in the first place, it was what pissed me off. And I didn't rape you, there is nothing like marital rape, dan Allah forgive me, your temperature is boiling," he pleaded, making a pleading gesture with his hands, his voice could show how remorseful he was.
She snorted in a sneering way "There is nothing like marital rape huh? In baka man shiru da wannan kalmomin ba wallahi zan maka rashin mutunci (You better stop saying those words to me, or else; you'll face my wrath). And you even have the mouth to talk, after all the accusations, why wouldn't I raise my voice at you? Who do you think you are? My father?" She inquired sarcastically, her face was red from all the tears.
He moved an inch closer "Arub, I've warned you, stop yelling at him, as I don't want to make any mistake again, please. I'm not your father, but I have more rights over you. Stop acting pugnacious and let's go to the hospital, your temperature is bad," he urged considerately, as he fixed his intense gaze on her face, seeing her like this shattered his heart.
She hissed, glared at him and took her veil; wrapped it around her petite frame before shimmering to the edge of the bed, the whole of her body was shaking when she was close to him. She yawed her gaze from him, and hissed angrily "Are you going to stare at me forever? Make way for me, I want to pass. I'm done talking here," she taunted enragedly, waiting for him to make space for her, as she doesn't have the energy to move to the other edge of the bed.
He stood up, making way for her, but after retaliating "Arub, I've told you to stop yelling at me, dan Allah, I'm not good at anger control these days."
She slowly pulled herself up from the bed and got down, her hands akimbo; when she spoke in an agitated way "So you even has the audacity? I shouldn't yell at you huh? Rashin ta idonka ma tayi yawa wallahi (You're soo shameless). I've yelled, I'm still yelling, and will forever yell at you. Ko zaka kara karban right dinne? Mara kunya (or are you having your right again? Such a shameless person you are)," she took a trudging step forward, but was halted by the excruciating pain she piercely felt.
"Wayyo Allah na (Oh my god)," she wailed and slumped on the floor.
He swiftly moved towards her and held her shoulder firm before she could hit herself. "You see what I've told you? We have to go to the hospital now, and it's final. No more arguing," he demanded, with a tone of finality.
She yanked his hand off from her shoulder and fretfully stood up, glaring at him. "You can only take me there forcefully. Which has becomes your habit," she rolled her eyes at him and staggered out of his room.
"She looks cute when she's angry," he confessed with a smile on his face, before it somersaults in him it's some minutes to Subh prayer.
He prowled to the bathroom, his face held an equivocal expression and a triumphant smile. He took his Gushl, bathe and exited; they were already performing the prayer.
He wore a black jallabiya and sauntered out of the room, knocked at Ummi's door before he hurriedly decamp out of the house, he wasn't ready for her blabbings and yellings, nor did he wants his cheerful mood to be kiboshed.
***
She heard the Adzhan and groggily went to the toilet, did her Gusul and had her bathe before she exited the toilet, groaning in pain. She wore a cotton half gown and wrap her wrapper beneath, put on her hijab and started saying her prayers.
She finished and hopped on her bed, closed her eyes in an attempt to sleep; but it never came. The only thing she saw was the vivid image of what happened earlier, she couldn't close her eyes without seeing his smily and happy face.
What is happening to me? I'm supposed to be angry at him, not the other way round. She wondered, slapping her both cheeks softly.
She finally closed her eyes with aplomb, doing all it takes not to think of what happened. A pleasant and dreamless sleep took her soul off. It was one of the best sleeps she had in years. And she wondered why.
A soft knock on her door woke her up from her dreamless land, she groaned in frustration and slowly squinted her eyes, glaring at the door.
"What is it, Al-amin? What do you want? The last time I checked we're no more classmates balle kace aji zamu tafi (we're no more classmates for you to say we have an early class). And you clearly knew I've severed all ties between us, won't you leave me alone? You've had the most priced posession in my, because my heart couldn't be count on, as it was shattered beyond mending. So why the disturbance," her sleepy voice was lace with wrath, she was infuriated. Just the thought of her lost would forever be painful.
She heard his sigh, she was sure he was feeling guilty brimful of remorse. He held the door knob and spoke "Arub, it's pass 11, and you were sleeping like a cobra. We have to go to the hospital remember?" He hooted sarcastically. "And no backing out. It's a command from a husband to his wife," he added.
She sat on her bed, her eyes were halfway closed, from the sleep that over powered them. She kept glaring at the door apoplectically, before she spoke. "What do you mean by command? Are you king ne da ban sani ba? It's better for you to leave my door, cause you woke me up with that annoying knockings of yours," she tattled, laying down, as she closed her face with the duvet.
He chuckled outwardly "Arub, you better open this door. But if I had to use the extra keys, then it has to call for another round," he tainted with a full smirk plastered on his lips. He knew she couldn't snub his threat.
She abruptly stood up, placed her hands on her head, as she muttered "Yau na shiga ukku," and silently prowled to the door.
With tremulous hands, she unlocked the door, and her gaze fall on Al-amin, whom has a smirked expression on his face with a triumphant smile plastered on his lips. She doubt if he hadn't heard what she said.
"Woah! It seems someone's is afraid of a second round. Well get ready, your breakfast is waiting, and we have to go to the hospital uno," he winked naughtily and rambled downstairs.
"Al-amin baka da kunya (Al-amin you're so shameless)," she hushed and advanced to the toilet.
***
She descended the staircases, wearing a peplum blouse with a fish shaped skirt, and the headtie was loosely tied on her head. Her gaze fell on a smiley Al-amin, he held his phone upright "Stop there, please Arub," he pleaded and stood up.
How he looked cute made her stopped without any hesitation, how would she say no to his cuteness?. Before she could scupper what was happening; he stood some inches away from and 'bling' he snapped, with a loving smile on his face.
"Arub, one more pose please. I feel like eating you Allah, you just look as dazzling as ever," he pouted, hoping she wouldn't say No.
"Al-aminnn..., I'm tired of standing here, but as you said; one more," she whined, and posed with pouted lips. Long forgetting about their fight nor the seclution she was intending to start.
He snapped again, "Arub, you look more beautiful when your pout," he elaborated, with a loving smile, taking a step towards her.
"God! What a good sight to snap!" They both heard a young masculine voice exclaimed, as they were both lost in eachother's orbs.
Ummi was the first to look down, her gaze falling on stunned Sulaiman. Innalillahi! She gasped, as her eyes swelled up with happy tears, her lips breaking into a wide grin, her legs swiftly moving to where he stood. Her loveliest brother!
She engulfed him into a bone crashing hug, as her tears falls on his shoulder "I missed you so much, Sulele. Those days without you were crest fallen. How have you being? School? Mama? When did you came back? See how tall you've grown, it was just three months; but you look more matured and handsome, My Sulele," Ummi extoled in one breath, cupping his face with her hands. She missed him so much.
"This is someone that was saying 'I won't miss you Sulen Mama, abeg goan pack; leave our house'," he mimicked sarcastically, as his eyes were clouded with tears. He knew she needed at least someone to cheer her up but couldn't get one, how he wished the wedding would be reversed, so he could see his sister's smile on her wedding day.
She smacked his shoulder playfully, the typical them. "How would I miss you? I was just beguilling your poor soul. Mumu child," she quickly wiped away her tears, as she felt his hand on her shoulder, she knew what that meant, and so she abide.
"I couldn't even get noticed, poor me," they heard Ihsan's whining voice, and all their gazes fell on smiley Ihsan.
"Ohh kid sis, we're sorry," Ummi extempored, and prowled to where she stood. But wait__what's the meaning of we? Anyways__it's a question for another day, her day couldn't get any better. Sulaiman alone would make her year better.
They exchanged pleasantries and sat down, Ummi brought them refreshments; as they denied having breakfast with them. Sulaiman being the person he is, couldn't get tired of enraging her, he always stood a chance of annoying her, whilst Al-amin was there to cajole.
They were chatting when Ummi spoke, trying to enrage Sulaiman. "Sulele, I can feel the chemistry between you two, how comes? Are you by any chance in lo...," she was laughing and staring between blushing Ihsan and nervous Sulaiman.
"There is nothing like that. I just had to go to their house; since I didn't know your house Mrs Yayanmu," he retaliated with a smirk on his face.
Before she could answer, Al-amin came down from the staircases; his car keys in his hand. "Take out your veil, let's go to the hospital," he elaborated, not taking his eyes off her.
"I'm okay fah, what will I do in a hospital?" She inquired, trying so hard not to sound harsh.
"You're not, Arub, let's go please," he alleged, putting his hands on her shoulders, in an attempt to stood her up.
She wanted shrugging off, so she wrapped her hands around his waist, and her head accidentally fell on his body. They stood there, and fell into a hiatus, before the sound of Sulaiman's camera jolted them out.
"By Allah, you guys are the perfect couple, wannan irin kauna haka (this kind of love ehn)," Sulaiman jabbered, showing Ihsan the picture he had taken.
She slowly let go of him and stood up, without uttering a word; she sauntered to her room, took her veil and prowled back to the living room. The body contact revived an unfathomable feeling in her, she suddenly became restless.
She ignored Sulaiman's blabbings and teasings, as she wasn't in the mood for all. They bid them adieu and assured her that she would come back and meet them in the house. They drove off, but not after she warned them not to jumble her house.
"Al-amin, take me back home please. I couldn't argue with you because of Sulele and Ihsan. So turn the car back home," she dictated, slightly glancing at him.
He snubbed her and kept driving, she got hyped up and spoke in an enraging way "Al-amin I'm talking to you, for god sake! Yanzu idan munje me zamu ce masu? Nidai gaskia ba dani za'ayi wannan rashin kunyar ba (What will we tell them when we went their? Sincerely; I'm out of this shameless act)," she reiterated sombrely, tears glistening her view, she knew he wouldn't listen to her.
They drove in silence, as Ummi was ruminative on what would she do, while Al-amin looked nothing but Adamant. He ignited off the car in front of their usual hospital, before he could utter a word; Ummi broke into tears, as she knew it would be the best solution.
"Al-amin, please, dan Allah. How woulf I face the doctor? Ka taimaka ka rufa man asiri, wallahi I can't go inside," she was crying sincerely and hysterically, one could sense sheer anguish in her sobs.
"Subhanallah! Arub, please stop crying. I concur; we won't go, but you have to take some pain killers and atleast paracetamol to cool down your temperature. Deal?" He inquired, igniting the car and drove off, as she nodded her head as an answer.
They stopped at a nearby chemist and bought the medicines before droving home. They entered and saw Sulaiman and Ihsan sprawled on the floor, playing game with his tablet, a plate and cups on the floor, they looked exhausted.
"Ya Ummi, what happened? You lost the baby or what? See how your face turned red dan Allah," Sulaiman symphathized, a glint of sadness in his eyes, as he guided her to the sofa. He wanted to be an uncle soon. That too the child of his lovely sister.
She smacked his shoulder hardly that he had to yelp, "Who told I'm pregnant? It's just a mere fever. Yaushe ka zama mara kunya, Sulele? (When did you became shameless, Sulele?)," she questioned, jokingly glaring at him. She doesn't know why, but his question made something gnawed at her.
"What have I done wrong? Aren't you married? Ya Al-amin please make her pregnant in the next two weeks, I want to be an uncle soon," he raved, pouting his lips in a beseeching way.
"Suleiman!," Ummi's eyes bulged out of their socket, when did this boy grew up? Does he know what his words has impacted on her? And that her annoying husband too__he might possibly have thought of something.
"Kafi karfina," she concurred and sprinted to her room. Why would Sulaiman say something like that in front of Ihsan? What if she told Mami? Ya Allah! How would she face them?
She entered her room and closed the door, yelled "Sulaiman, good bye from here, close the gate when you're going out please," sarcastically as she slunped on her bed.
His retaliation made her laughed wholeheartedly, and wondered when he grew up, he wasn't the Sulaiman she knew. "Okay masu miji, you're practically shooing us of your house huh? I'll tell Mama what you've done for us, because you're eager to make babies with your hubby," he yelled back with a hearty laugh, she could tell he was smirking.
She heard her phone's 'bling', emanating she got a message, what the message reads made her heart do double flips, perspiration forming in her palms. Al-amin is so incorrigible.
Does what Sulaiman said by any chance true? I would love to make hundreds of babies with you, Arub. Do take care of yourself please, take your medicines, and we have dinner by 9 in the upstairs living room, don't say No, Arub. I really didn't had the chance to thank you for the priced posession gift, I know you would grimaced and mimicked my tone 'forcefully', but believe me, it's the best gift I ever had. I love you.
What would she feel? Love? Hatred? Anger? Or happiness? Doesn't she have the most lamest romantic husband on earth? But his ways are so unique that she couldn't help but smile, as her heart dwell in his love. She couldn't be more grateful.
***
It was 8:45pm, she had long forgotten about their so called dinner. She bathe, drank yoghurt and sprawled on her bed; reading a book. A messaged popped in her phone, it reads..
