Chapter 61: Chapter 61
Jason, Sage, and Mason all sprinted through the forest. The two were in awe of the walker's speed. He sprinted through the forest like a bullet, a blur of golden fur as he ran past the trees.
All three skidded to a halt, staring at the scene in awe. The large clearing they stumbled upon held a large pond, surrounded by bright green grass and gorgeous flowers. Butterflies of all the colors fluttered around the clearing, going from flower to flower. The place was illuminated by the sun, giving it a fantasy type feel.
On the other side of the pond though, was rocks covered by shadows. The grass was a darker green, there were no flowers to be seen. And laying on a large rock, sleeping, was Dimitri.
Sage was stunned by his ruffled fur and the spots of blood on it. Part of his ear was covered in blood and a large cut was on his face.
Jason silently trotted around the pond and climbed up the rocks, when he reached the king, he gently nudged him. After a few more times, Dimitri's eyes opened.
He almost jumped and tried running, but Sage and Mason had already climbed up. They both caught him, forcing him to lay down.
"Dad, stop." Sage growled.
Dimitri growled a little at his daughter's tone, but he obeyed her. He was too tired to argue with her, so, he laid back down.
After an hour of ushering him down the rocks and back into the forest, they headed home.
Dimitri ignored them as they asked him questions, his eyes held a dull look. When they reached the castle, he shifted back and threw on some shorts. He whispered a thank you to the three before silently walking inside.
Once they were all shifted back and clothed, they ran inside. They frowned when they found an injured and tired Dimitri, out cold in the hallway.
"I guess we should carry him to his room." Sage sighed.
The two men carefully picked him up and barged into the man's room. Rose looked up from her book, her eyes widening at the sight of her husband.
"What happened?" She asked.
Sage sighed, "If I knew, I would tell you. He won't tell us anything."
Rose released a breath, she helped them lay Dimitri on the bed. She then put the quilt over his shivering form and kissed him on the forehead.
"I should start counting how many times this guy got injured. I wonder if there's a record for the most injuries." Rose mumbled as she walked into the bathroom.
"He's going to be okay, right?" Sage murmured.
Rose nodded, "He just needs some rest. I can take care of him now, go get some dinner and rest. Jason, Sara is worried sick about you."
Jason left the room and headed straight for his, when he walked through the door, Sara hugged him. She then grabbed his face and kissed him.
"Are you okay? Is my dad okay?" She asked.
Jason nodded, "He just needs some rest."
"Good." She breathed.
Later on that night, Jason cuddled with Sara. He pulled her against his body and kissed her on the cheek. He then nuzzled his face into the crook of her neck.
"Jason..." Sara sighed, enjoying the sensations of him sucking on her mark.
She could feel how hard he was as he grinded against her core. He continued giving her hickey as he grinded against her. After a while, he stopped and gently pinned her down.
"I want you so bad." He breathed, kissing along her jaw.
Sara smiled, "I can tell. You do know that we can still have sex right?"
"We can?"
"Yes, as long as you're gentle."
Jason smirked and crushed his lips to her's. He gently fondled her breasts, his member throbbing.
Sex scene!
Jason took off her clothes and threw them onto the floor. He then placed soft kisses on her chest, grazing his canines over nipples. Sara moaned, loving the gentle love of her mate.
He moved down to her core, using his tongue to bring pleasure to his mate. He smiled when he saw the happiness on her face.
"Do you want me?" He breathed while giving her a hickey on her inner thigh.
Sara moaned, "Y-yes...please...Jason. I need you."
"Anything for you, princess."
He slowly thrusted into her, moaning at the feel of being inside of her. His thrusts were slow, torturous, pleasurable, and careful. Both of them craved the speed and roughness that they once had, but knew they couldn't.
Sara dug her claws into the sheets as Jason carefully sped up. He growled lowly, he marked his mate once again, needing to prove to her that she was his.
This drove Sara over the edge, her loud moan was silenced by Jason kissing her. Sara growled, wanting to show him that he was her's and no one else could have him.
As she marked him, Jason came inside of her. He withdrew and laid beside her.
End of sex
Sara cuddled against him after he returned from showering. He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her against him. He placed a soft kiss in her temple.
"I love you." He whispered.
Sara smiled and kissed him on the lips, "And I love you."
The following days held nothing but fear and pain as Dimitri lost control of his wolf. He would attack his own warriors, he hit Rosalie again, he even threatened the council. When he hit Sara, Jason had to hold himself back. Afraid of getting into a fight with the king. Ryan had helped him take her to a safer place, away from her father.
Rose started to fear her own husband and she hated it. Every second away from him was torture, but every second with him was torture as well. It was reaching the point where the council wanted to kill him.
"We can't have a feral wolf as a king!" A council man snarled.
Rose narrowed her eyes, "He has never been like this! It happened after he was drugged!"
"Well, unfortunately, that drug is still in his system. Unless you figure out how to fix him, he'll be sentenced to death." Another stated.
Sage frowned, "But he hasn't killed anyone."
"Not yet." A third grumbled.
The two women were defeated as they stared at the council. Not even Logan could help them, no matter how much he admired the king. He gave them a sorrowful look before leaving the room, not being able to handle the harsh reality.
They will have to kill Dimitri.
"We want the kingdom to stay safe." A fourth said calmly, giving them a pity filled glanced.
"But we don't need to kill him, chain him in the dungeons. Until you find the cure for whatever this is, he must be chained. Away from everyone."
Rose nodded silently, knowing that was the best thing they could do. She silently ushered her daughter out of the room, closing the large doors behind them.
They walked down the hall, searching for Dimitri. Rose mind-linked a few warriors to come and help them take him to the dungeons. They were hesitant at first, but eventually came to the queen's aid.
When they finally found him, he was laying on the couch, staring up at the ceiling. He slowly looked at his wife, a sad smile graced his face. He already knew they were going to chain him and lock him away. He knew it was for the best as well.
He went without a fight for the first time in six days. Rose could still remember the night it all started and she shivered.
After they found him in the woods, he healed and lost it during the night. Rose had tried calming him down, but he clawed her stomach. After that, he ran off and fell asleep somewhere. It only got worse, when he was tired, he would become silent. No one went near him, they feared for their lives.
Little did they know, Dimitri remembered everything he did. He hated himself for it and even thought of running away or committing suicide. He was afraid of himself, of his wolf, of everything.
They quickly chained him with silver chains, ignoring his grunts of pain. They then walked out, locking the large iron door behind them. There they left the king in the darkness.
Alone.
"What are we going to do?" Sara whispered. "They'll kill him."
"How long do we have?" Jason asked.
Rosalie sighed, "They haven't decided yet. Logan is trying to get them to give us a year, but he doubts they'll allow Dimitri to live for that long. I hate to admit it, but a feral wolf is extremely dangerous to the kingdom. Especially one as strong as my mate."
Sage bit her lip, "First step is to find out who drugged him. Whatever drug that was, caused my father to become feral. If we find out what type of drug it is, maybe we could find the antidote."
Mason nodded in agreement, "How do we go about this?"
"I'm not entirely sure." Sage whispered.
Dimitri's brothers all leaned against the wall, burried in their own thoughts. Alaricas stood on the other side of the room, also, drowned in his own thoughts.
No one knew why Dimitri was targeted, but they had a feeling it's out of jealousy. Rose sighed as she rubbed her stomach, feeling the scarred flesh from his claws.
"Please don't tell me you're pregnant." Sage sounded.
Rosalie shook her head, "No...I have scars..."
They all gave her a sad look, knowing how much this was hurting her. Every night they could hear Dimitri's screams from the dungeon as his wolf tried forcing him to shift. The silver chains around him will never break though. No matter how strong a wolf may be.
Rose sighed and left the room, needing to escape the tense atmosphere.
She silently walked along the halls, trying to think of who would do this to her husband. She came to a halt in front of his office and frowned. She slowly opened the door and stepped in. She took a large wiff, furrowing her eyebrows when an odd scent hit her nose.
She kept sniffing around until she found an old stain. She sniffed it, scrunching up her nose. It was blood, but it wasn't Dimitri's. She sniffed it again, she recognized that scent.
The Summit pack.
