Chapter 30: Chapter 30

Rosalie sat there for a few more minutes until she wiped her tears and walked upstairs. She sighed when she smelled Darien's scent in her room. She growled angrily when she saw his shirt, she snatched it and tore it to pieces before throwing it away. She ran her hand through her hair as she crawled into the bed.

An hour later she could hear someone walking into her room, when Darien's scent engulfed her she growled loudly. He backed up as she jumped out of the bed and glared at him.

"Get out." She snarled.

He frowned, "Why?"

"Because, you shouldn't be in here."

Darien suddenly smirked, "But we had sex in here. Pretty sure I belong-

"GET OUT!" Rosalie ordered.

Darien growled a little before opening the door, "Hello, Alpha Black."

Rosalie stiffened as Dimitri shoved Darien aside and stepped into the room. He glared at her with hatred before storming out.

Rosalie walked down to his office a few hours later and took a deep breath. She opened the door to see him drinking whiskey and speaking to Eli.

"Am I interrupting?" She asked.

Dimitri shook his head, "Nope, actually, I was about to call you down here."

"Oh."

"You're going with Eli to his pack."

She froze, "What?"

"Do I need to repeat myself?"

"Dimitri-

"Alpha Black." He cut her off.

Rosalie clenched her jaw, tears pooled into her eyes as she looked down.

"So, you don't believe me." She whispered as anger flared up inside of her heart.

Dimitri leaned back in his chair, "Why should I?"

That question had tears running down her face and rage bubbling in her chest.

"Because I'm your mate! I love you more than anything! Yet, you allowed this idiot to put ideas into your head. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I'm just another Christine to you, huh? Some whore who's not seeking love, but power."

"You know what? Fine, I'll leave. But I'm not going to Eli's pack, I'll return to my original pack and I'm taking my son with me. And you can sit here and get drunk, that's all you're good for anyways. Getting drunk and doing stupid shit. Meanwhile, I'll try my hardest to get rid of my memories of you. All those times I stayed by you."

She was now crying, allowing Dimitri to see how he was breaking her heart.

"If I didn't love you then I wouldn't have stayed when I found out about how you treated rogues. I'm sorry that I loved you."

She turned around and sprinted out of the office, shoving a stunner Xavier out of the way. She ran up to their room and started packing her things. Once she was packed, she packed Elijah's things and walked out.

"Happy now?" She croaked as she walked past Eli.

"I realized after it was too late that Darien was part of some sick plan of your's." She laughed.

"He's weak when it comes to forcing the answers from him."

She ran downstairs to where Catherine was sitting wth Elijah. She looked up and frowned.

"Rose, what's wrong?" She asked.

Rosalie shook her head, "N-nothing can you just....can I borrow your car? I'll have someone return it."

Catherine nodded as she grabbed her keys from her purse. Rosalie thanked her and took Elijah.

"There's a baby seat already in there." Catherine whispered.

"How long are you leaving for?"

"I don't know." Rosalie murmured.

Once Elijah was buckled in and their suitcases are in the trunk, Rosalie hopped in and drove off.

Tears were still running down her face, her grip on the steering wheel tightened as she neared the border. She stopped before going over and took a deep breath, preparing herself for the pain.

"I'm sorry." She mind-linked to the pack and Dimitri.

She stepped on the gas pedal and drove over, she cried out as she felt the ties to her pack break, including the most painful one, her tie to Dimitri. She could still feel her bond with him, but as she drove further away, she blocked it.

"You go in there."

"Hell no, he's out of control. You do it."

"I'd love to keep my head, you go."

"Oh, I'm not worthy enough to keep mine?"

Xavier rolled his eyes at Damon before opening the bedroom door. They both frozen at the mess, things were torn and destroyed. The only thing that was still standing was the bed, which Dimitri was out cold on.

Xavier slowly walked over to see Dimitri hugging one of Rosalie's dresses to his chest. He sighed and sat on the bed, he gently shook his brother until he woke up. Dimitri didn't say anything, all he did was stare at Xavier with dull eyes.

"What?" He snapped.

Xavier sighed, "Go after her."

"No."

"But you love her!"

"Yes, but she wanted someone else. Just like the last woman."

"But Rosalie loves you back! You were her everything and she proved it each day. Christine never did any of that, we all saw her infidelity coming. This isn't like Rosalie. Matter of fact, it's completely opposite of what she would have done." Xavier seethed.

"Come on, Dimitri, you know her. She would never hurt you like this." Damon sounded.

Dimitri sat up and threw her dress on the ground, he ran his hand through his hair.

"Get someone to clean up this room, please? Remove anything that belongs to Rosalie and make sure her scent is out of here."

They both watched as he left the room, Xavier shook his head.

"There's no convincing him." He sighed.

Damon frowned, "So...what does that mean?"

"Say goodbye to Dimitri and say hello to Alpha Black."

Rosalie put her son down for a nap before gently closing the door. She numbly walked into her room and laid on the bed. Images of when Dimitri had found her here flashed through her vision. She closed her eyes as more sobs escaped her lips, her grip on the pillow becoming tighter. She curled up into a ball and continued crying. Her body was shaking from the sobs, giving a voice to her broken heart.

For hours on end she did nothing but cry, she felt as if she couldn't stop. Her brother had tried getting her to calm down, but she couldn't, memories of her and Dimitri together kept going through her mind. Torturing her every second. Sebastian finally gave up and just cradled her to his chest, whispering soothing words and running his fingers trough heir hair.

After a while she fell asleep, exhausted from all the drama. Sebastian sighed and laid his sister on the bed, he gave her a sorrowful look before leaving the room.

"Hazel, can you watch over my nephew? Rose brought bottles with her and put them in the fridge for when he gets hungry." He told her.

The brown eyed girl nodded, "Is she okay?"

"I don't know."

"Rose, please, eat." Sebastian pleaded.

She shook her head, "Wh-where's Elijah? I want to see him."

"No, not until you're healthy again. You've been here for three days and haven't had anything." Sebastian scolded.

"B-but he's my son..."

Sebastian sighed and put the plate down, "I know, but Hazel is taking good care of him. We found formula in his baby bag...we're using that."

"Oh, that's okay. I've been u-using it for him." She whispered.

He watched her, she seemed so empty just laying in her bed. She asked for her son every day, but she wasn't strong enough to sit up. She wouldn't be able to hold him without passing out or her arms shaking. She refused to drink or eat, all she did was lay on the bed.

He released a breath and stood up, he walked out of the room to find Hazel. He found her sitting in the kitchen, feeding his nephew. He smiled a little at the scene before walking over.

"You used to be part of Dimitri's pack, right?" He asked.

She looked up, "Yeah, why?"

"I need you to call him, ask him what the hell is going on that has my sister depressed."

"I don't know...he's not exactly a fan of me."

"Why?"

"I'm Christine's sister."

"I said, twenty more laps!" Dimitri yelled.

All his warriors took off running, afraid of pissing their alpha off further. Dimitri sighed and sat down, a peaceful silence fell over him as he zoned out. His chest tightened as his mind drifted off to Rosalie, her words replayed in his head each day. Not only her's, but his brothers' as well.

Neither one of his brothers are talking to him, not even his sister-in-laws. Sage and Sara run away from him now, he hates seeing them so terrified of him. He had no one to blame but himself, he had caused all of this. If he had spent time with Rosalie more she wouldn't have felt that lonely. He watched as his warriors passed by him in a blur of greys and browns. He shook his head and sighed.

Once training was done he walked back inside to shower, he winced as pack members glared at him. He didn't understand why his pack was starting to hate him, he hadn't done anything to them. He continued walking up the stairs until his mother's voice stopped him.

"Still being a coward?"

He sighed and turned around, "What?"

She shook her head, "I didn't raise you like this, Demetrius. I didn't raise you to be as foolish as you are now. You're a blind idiot if you can't see how much that girl loves you. Even in your worst of times she stayed beside you, guiding you and loving you like a true mate. She left her mate for you, because her heart belonged to you."

"She mated with you and had a son, a son out of pure love. She didn't have him just to give you a heir like Christine did. She did it because she wanted a child, she wanted to have a family with you. She even loved Sage and Sara like her own. She acted like a true Luna to this pack. Do you know how she was when she thought you were dead? Didn't she say she was upset because she lost the man who owned her heart?"

Dimitri remained emotionless, but behind that mask was a guilty man. He hung his head in shame and sat on the stairs.

"She loved you so much and you turn around and kick her out of the pack. Even worse, you were going to give her to that disgusting alpha. Why did you even let him come here in the first place?"

Dimitri sighed, "He threatened to start a war if I didn't allow him to come over and figure out a deal. I-I couldn't risk another war a few months after the previous one. We weren't ready."

"I-I was drunk a-and was being stupid. I threw out all the alcohol. I-I....I hurt her."

His mother sighed and sat beside him, "I know you're hurting. A mother knows when her child is in pain, both physical and emotional. You love her so, go after her before it's too late."

Dimitri covered his face with his hands, his breathing became quicker as he tried holding down his sob. Harper frowned and hugged him.

"It's okay to cry." She murmured.

And just like that, he cried. He collapsed against his mother and cried, Harper hugged him tighter as he allowed his pain to show.

A few pack members walked to the stairs to see what the issue was, their eyes held sorrow as they saw their alpha crying. Harper gave them all a sad smile before motioning for them to leave. They immediately listened and walked into their rooms.

Seconds later, Maddox walked out to see his son crying. Harper gave him a sad look as he walked down and gently grabbed his son.

"Come on." He ushered him.

Dimitri silently followed his father, trying to stop the sobs. As Harper closed the door to their room Dimitri broke down again, this time, Maddox hugged him.

"Shhhhh, calm down, son. What's wrong?" Maddox asked.

Dimitri continued laying against his father as he calmed down enough to speak.

"I-I ruined everything." He mumbled.

Maddox frowned, "How?"

"I hurt her. I didn't believe her. I didn't...I didn't want to be rejected again."

Maddox sighed and rubbed circles on his son's back, trying to comfort him.

"I did the same thing to your mother." He whispered.

Dimitri frowned as he looked at him, "You did?"

Harper smiled as she sat down, "He did, it hurt like hell. But he came back and asked me what had really happened. He then apologized for everything. At first I was angry at him and kicked him in the balls, but then I just gave up. I was tired of fighting the bond and gave him a chance. Now look, I'm married to him, lead a pack with him, and raised four amazing sons. We all make mistakes, but sometimes, the best things happen because of them."

Dimitri smiled a little, "Thank you."

"Welcome, now, go. Apologize to her and bring her back here, along with my grandson." Harper ordered.

Dimitri smiled at his mom before getting up and leaving the room.
