Chapter 13: Chapter 13

"You sir, are a dumbass."

"I didn't know the cat was a demon! Literally!"

"It had red eyes with no pupils! What did you think it was?"

Damon sighed as he glanced at the demon currently wrapped around Rosalie's leg.

"Apologize to it." Rosalie ordered.

"You're kidding, right?" He asked, stunned.

Rosalie sighed, "No, you scared the poor thing! Now, apologize."

"I scared it? It comes from fucking hell! Where all those scary monsters are!"

"Damon."

"Fine, I'm sorry."

The demon cat stared at him for a moment before running off. Rosalie sighed and continued walking towards the packhouse.

She couldn't believe that after two hours of patrolling they already ran into ten rogues. Their leader didn't even give Dimitri a chance to call him to tell him they would meet up for the deal. The alpha was desperately trying to get in contact with him so the warriors could get a break from the attacks.

He wasn't too happy about her going out to patrol, especially since she was with Damon, but he couldn't argue. She wanted to start helping the pack besides keeping their alpha from murdering anyone.

When they returned she tiredly walked up to her room, needing to get in the shower. However, Dimitri had other plans as he picked her up and walked to his room.

"Dimitri, put me down! I need a shower." She ordered.

He smirked, "I can tell."

"Excuse me? Are you saying that I smell?"

"You smell like Damon, I don't like it. You can shower in my room and then you can sleep in my room as well." He explained.

She frowned, "Why?"

"I can't sleep without you and when I do sleep beside you, the pain doesn't come."

"The pain?"

"Of Christine mating with another guy. She does it each night and each time I get the worst pain, unless you're beside me."

After she was showered she climbed into the bed with him. He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close to him. He breathed in her scent and relaxed, momentarily forgetting about all the troubles in life. Rosalie relaxed as well, the warmth and sense of safety slowly dragged her into sleep.

As she slept Dimitri stayed awake, thinking about her. He wanted to keep her safe, but he knows she'll want to fight along with the pack. He smiled to himself, Christine never wanted to fight alongside the pack. She would hide in their room like the coward she was. She was a terrible Luna, barely ever kept up with her duties. She didn't care about the pack and neither did she care about her daughters. He was disgusted with her then and still is, the hatred for her was burning in his heart. He silently wished that the hatred was enough to sever the connection between him and the cheating wolf.

The next morning they slept in, neither one of them wanting to let go of each other. Rosalie felt completely refreshed and ready for the day by the time they did get up. She chuckled at a very sleepy Dimitri as he rubbed his eyes.

"So, what's on the agenda for today?" She asked as she combed her hair.

He sighed and grabbed a toothbrush. "Well, the leader called me back while you and Damon were patrolling. He'll stop the attacks on us and meet with us in three days. So, today is just training."

"I'm joining." She stated.

He frowned, "If you can handle my men..."

"Honey, I'm an alpha. Your men won't be a problem for me." She smirked before leaving.

Dimitri sighed as he ran his hand through his hair, his mind blank. He couldn't believe it, he couldn't believe that his ex-mate was mated to the rogue leader. Well, at least planning to mate him once they take over the pack. He didn't want to see her, he didn't want that pull to become stronger, and he most definitely didn't want to vomit from her scent. He let out a dark laugh, that scent use to drive him crazy. Use to make him want her, but now it was the complete opposite.

"Dimitri, are you okay?"

He looked up to see Rosalie walking into his office, her eyes showing concern. He smiled, now her scent is the scent that drives him mad with lust. The scent that helps him relax when he's worked up.

Her beauty made him breathless each time he saw her, her voice was music to his ears. He couldn't see his life without her anymore, that darkness that had surrounded him was finally gone. She was his light and he was determined to never lose her.

He walked up and rested his hands on her hips, a wide grin was on his face as he studied her.

"I'm fine." He whispered as he leaned down and kissed her on the cheek.

She smiled at him and cupped his cheek, her smile growing wider as he leaned into her touch. He knew he was the luckiest man to own such a beautiful creature's heart. A goddess. That was what she was to him, a goddess who needed all the love he had. She owned his heart, forever. He was madly in love with her, even if Christine decides to use their bond, he knew he could fight it. He silently promised Rosalie that he would fight the bond each day, destroy it somehow.

"Christine is going to be there." He whispered. "I want you to stay beside me the whole time, no matter what. She's a crazy mutt, if she hurts you-

"She won't." Rosalie assured him. "You're not in love with her anymore?"

He gaped at her, "Hell no. A feisty and stubborn beauty owns my heart now. And that certain beauty will never lose it."

She smiled at him, "I trust you." She murmured.

"We're going to meet them in three hours. I need to go and grab my brothers. Stay here." He told her, kissing her.

She nodded, "Okay."

He disappeared for a few minutes before returning with all three of his brothers. A few days have passed since Xavier was released from the hospital, but he was still tired. Dimitri gave his older brother a worried look before sighing.

"Xander, Damon, Rosalie, and Felicity will go with us. Xavier and Catherine will stay here to watch over the pack. It shouldn't take long." Dimitri explained.

Damon nodded, "Sounds good to me. But you're hiding something..."

Dimitri sighed, "That bitch, Christine, will be there. Make sure Sage and Sara stay in the packhouse. I don't want her getting her hands on them, she's no longer their mother. Her right to touch them or even speak to them ended the second she disowned them."

"Please tell me we're going to kill her." Xander spoke.

Dimitri grinned, "Duh."

The three hours had passed by in a blur, before they knew it, they were standing in the clearing. Dimitri pulled Rosalie close to him, planting a small kiss on her temple. She grabbed his hand and gave him a reassuring squeeze. They all looked up as four men and Christine appeared.

Christine narrowed her eyes when she saw Rosalie, but no emotion showed on her face. The tall man beside her wrapped his arm around her.

"Alpha Dimitri, I'm surprised you agreed." The man smirked. "My girl told me you're not foolish. Clearly, she lied."

Dimitri rolled his eyes, "I'm not here to chit chat, rogue, get on with it."

"You see, you have something I want. The pack and her."

As the man's gaze settled on Rosalie she stiffened.

Dimitri furrowed his eyebrows, "Why do you want her?"

"Her father promised her to me when she turned eighteen. As a way to settle the argument between us. However, when she turned eighteen he refused and killed more than half my men. Once I was able to gather enough rogues I attacked, killed her parents and took her brother. Sadly, she survived and found her mate. But her mate isn't you." He explained.

Rosalie swallowed, "My mate and I are no longer together."

"I know, Amelia told me." He sneered.

"Ah, so you're the boss?" She questioned.

He nodded before focusing on Dimitri. "Do we have a deal? Her and the pack for Sebastian?"

Dimitri swallowed and looked at Rosalie, she took a shaky breath and nodded at him. He looked back at the disgusting man.

"Yes."

Rosalie watched as two men dragged her injured and obviously sick brother forward. When they dropped him on the ground she ran over and knelt beside him, gently shaking him. It took a few seconds for his eyes to open, but once they did he gasped.

"R-Rosalie?" He whispered.

She smiled, "Hey asshat."

He smiled and chuckled a bit before wincing, she frowned. She growled when the two men went to grab her.

"Let me help him first, that's the least you could do." She growled.

The man frowned at her, "Don't disobey pup."

"I'm the alpha here." She scoffed. "You will let me help my brother."

It has been years since she used her alpha tone, but it hasn't lost its touch. The man clenched his jaw, annoyance evident on his face. She smirked at him, if he thought taking an alpha wolf would be this easy, he had another thing coming.

She quickly helped her brother to his feet and dragged him to the side. The second she sat him down Dimitri and them attacked. She shifted and attacked a man who tried snatching her, refusing to be taken. She easily killed him, no longer holding that innocence and kindness that she had just moments ago. Seeing what they have done to her brother, her only family member left, she was beyond angry.

Just as more rogues jumped into the clearing more warriors from Dimitri's pack ran in as well. She froze when she spotted Sage and Sara amongst them, slaughtering wolves like it was nothing. She looked at Dimitri to see him fighting the leader. Without any hesitation she grabbed the two girls and brought them over to where she was.

The young girls stared at her in shock before sitting beside Sebastian. She shifted back, ignoring the fact she was naked.

"You two are in so much trouble!" She scolded before shifting again.

After an hour the leader suddenly broke Dimitri's leg and ran off. She was stunned by how fast he was, she's never seen a wolf run that fast. Not even an alpha. She watched as all the rogues followed after him.

"Well, that didn't go as planned." Catherine stated as she stepped into the bloody clearing.

Rosalie scowled at her, earning a chuckle. "Sorry." Catherine laughed.

"I told you two not to leave the pack house!"

They all looked over to see a fuming Dimitri, Rosalie sighed in relief when she saw he had shorts on.

Both girls whimpered and coward behind Rosalie, who just rolled her eyes. Dimitri threw a shirt at her before focusing on his daughters.

She quickly shifted and threw the shirt on before sighing.

"Dimitri, now is not the time. Let's return to the pack house then you can yell at them." She said, placing her hand on his arm.

He sighed in defeat before kneeling in front of his daughters. "You two are going to be the death of me."

He laughed as they barked and licked his face. "Okay! Enough! Go and barrow your uncle's shirts. I'm not going to have you walking through the woods stark naked."

Once everyone was shifted back and clothed they returned to the house. Xavier sprinted down the stairs, almost falling as he reached the bottom.

"I swear, I told them not to leave! I was tired and-

"Xavier, relax, it's okay. Go rest." Dimitri chuckled.

Catherine smiled as she guided her husband to their room. Dimitri turned to his daughters and Rosalie.

"I'm going to make a call, can you just take them to the infirmary? Your brother is there too." He asked.

Rosalie nodded and kissed him on the cheek. "Once you're done you better get that arm checked out."

He chuckled and turned to head towards his office. He sighed as he walked in, running his hand through his hair.

"Long time no see, mate."

He spun around to see Christine sitting on his couch, a smirk on her face.
