Chapter 63: Chapter 63

Diana’s P.O.V.

I am tired of this.

Fisting my gown, I averted my gaze from the captor who had been singing praises of his kingdom for the past thirty minutes. His presence itself was making me go bananas. I have never talked to Theodore my whole life and we didn’t even have any sort of interactions in the past. That was one of the reasons why our proximity was suffocating me but he was way too comfortable.

Considering his brother’s suggestion, we made for Augustea Dynasty. Since then that man got verbal diarrhea. And I couldn’t do anything except listen to him rambling about his kingdom.

Frustrated, I shifted my attention towards the window when my eyes spotted a familiar figure.

‘Jasmine?’

What is she doing here?

I then looked at Theodore who was busy narrating the heroic stories of his ancestors.

“Uhmm, I saw Jasmine here.” I purposely temporized to see his reaction. Which did work as Theodore instantly stiffened by her mention, his eyes widening in shock.

“What? What is she doing here?” He said and suddenly pounced towards the window which made me step back. I also followed his gaze but my jaw dropped to find her in a guy’s arms.

The smile on her lips evinced her happiness. I was busy observing them when a low growl jarred my nerves. It was none other than Theodore who was raging like a bull. His grip on the bars of the window turned so tight that his knuckles turned white. His expressions turned lethal and malefic. The gleam of his eyes got replaced with ominous darkness.

“Stop the carriage.”

Theodore hollered which made me jump on my spot. He then alighted the vehicle. I also stepped down from it and stood behind him.

Christian who was accompanying us on his horse was also taken aback by his move, “Why? What happen?”

Though he sounded confused, the phony smile on his face didn’t go unnoticed by me.

When Theodore didn’t answer him, he then followed his gaze to find the reason behind his anger.

“Oh! You want to meet your ex-wife?” He let out a snicker. Theodore instantly snapped his head towards him and shot him a glare.

Jealousy was evident in his features.

I smirked and looked back at Jasmine but my eyes almost fell out of my sockets watching the scene in front of me.

‘They were kissing?’

It came as a shock to both me and Christian but unlike us who were simply enjoying the show like onlookers, Theodore decided to butt in. Before anyone could predict his next move, he rushed to the duo and peeled Jasmine away from that mysterious man.

Present time.

“STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM MY WIFE!!”

Theodore pulled Jasmine behind him and let out a raging growl. The brunette was taken off guard as he staggered back. But soon his expression turned sour as he glared at Theodore back with the same intensity.

“Are you suffering from amnesia? She isn’t yours anymore, moron. She belongs to me now.”

*PUNCH*

A gasp left my lips when Theodore threw a powerful punch at the young man, bruising his handsome face. The impact was so strong that he fell straight to the ground while everyone stared at Theodore in shock.

“NO!!!”

Jasmine who was startled by Theodore’s interruption let out a shrill and ran toward the poor man while pushing Theodore aside from her way. But before she could reach him, he grabbed her left wrist and pulled her toward himself.

“What the hell are you doing?” Jasmine shouted and tried to pry her hands off but Theodore slammed her on the tree and hovered over her.

“What the hell are you doing with him? After ruining one life, you’re looking for another man to quench your thirst, promiscuous woman?” he raged.

I palmed my mouth at his cruel words. How could he demean a woman like this?

But Jasmine was least bothered by his outburst. She jerked his hand and retorted, “We are separated right? Now I am free just like you. At least I am not holding married men captive and threatening them for marriage.”

She shot him a smirk. Theodore turned red. Punching the wall beside her head, he cupped her chin and sneered near her lips, “You aren’t worthy enough to question my decisions.”

He was trying to intimidate her but the girl was on fire today. She Jasmine swatted his hands off, “And you aren’t worthy enough to interfere in my life. Whom I love, whom I marry has nothing to do with you. And let me remind you this isn’t your Theo Dynasty, so I am not bound to follow your rules.”

With that, she moved past him and ran to the man who was still laying on the ground but he looked impressed by her actions.

Jasmine gently cupped his face in her palms and wiped the blood that was trickling down his lips with her thumb.

“Are you okay? Does it hurt?” She asked him softly but that man simply shook his head and smiled.

“Not at all. I am much stronger than this midget.” He said and rubbed his face in her palms. Jasmine shyly looked down. Her cheeks tinted red.

Theodore bristled with rage watching their intimate act. He was about to attack the love birds when Christian pulled him back by his arm.

“Don’t Brother. She is your ex-wife, why are you getting so concerned about her? You should focus on Diana.” He whispered but Theodore didn’t even look in his way. His whole attention was on the girl whom he had always ignored.

An idea popped into my mind.

No one is watching me right now. I should definitely make use of this and escape.

Slowly, I took a step back and diverted my gaze to the guards. Thank Lord, their focus was on Theodore. Lapping the opportunity, I quietly weasel my way out and turned to leave.

‘Oh no!’

All of a sudden, I felt an excruciating pain in my head. Grabbing my forehead, I massaged it to ease the pain when black dots appeared in front of my eyes and before I could understand anything, I blacked out.

End of Diana’s P.O.V.

Theodore couldn’t stand the sight in front of him. Jasmine and Zagan were lost in their own world, not giving two flying fucks about him. Tearing a piece of cloth, Jasmine wrapped it around her index finger and started dabbing it on his lips. Zagan purposely winced in pain and she gently blow air on his wound. Her brows were creased and a look of worry was evident on her face.

And this was enough to scald the King who was watching them helplessly.

Christian looked at Theodore only to find him staring at them with killer eyes. His lips twisted in a smirk.

‘My plan did work out.’

Christian was the knight of the Theo Dynasty. It was his responsibility to be aware of even the tiniest detail of his kingdom and kept an eye on the activities of his neighboring kingdoms as well. He knew that Rose and Jasmine were in Azalea village that’s why he purposely brought Theodore here by making up a false story that Augustus had invited him. When in reality, neither Augustus nor anyone knew about Theodore’s second marriage. He hid this matter from everyone because his motive was to reconcile his brother with Jasmine.

Christian was also worried about Theodore’s reputation. Theo Dynasty was the most powerful and esteemed kingdom of Heaven and Theodore was held in high regard by everyone. But his stupidity was not only jeopardizing the family’s name but can also vandalize his image. People would start hating him when they would come to know that the apple of their eye and their leader had abandoned his wife and was now planning to marry a married woman. That’s why he had to orchestrate the whole thing by keeping everyone even Lord Ernest in dark to save Theodore and his marriage. Because deep down Christian had a feeling that Theodore do love Jasmine. It’s just that his hatred for her had overpowered his emotions but something needs to be done quickly to make him realize his true feelings before it’s too late.

Suddenly a thud sound made everyone flinch. They all turned behind only to find Diana lying on the ground.

“DIANA!!”

Theodore and Christian shouted in unison and ran towards her. Theodore immediately crouched on the ground and grabbed an unconscious Diana in his arms. Jasmine also ran after them leaving Zagan who was least interested in her well-being.

“Diana? Doll, wake up.” Theodore spoke anxiously while slapping her cheek gently.

Jasmine froze after hearing that endearment. She could feel her heart tearing apart. Christian looked at her only to find her staring at Theodore sadly.

“Jasmine, can you check up on her?”

His voice pulled her out of her daze. She meekly nodded and crouched beside Theodore. But before she could hold Diana, Theodore jerked back.

“No way I would allow this disgusting woman to tend to the Queen of Theo Dynasty.” He grated out and threw her a stink eye.

Her hazel pools watered. Clenching her jaw, she shot him a teary glare and spat, “She is the Queen of Hell. Your threats and obsession are the reason why she passed out. Can’t you see how distressed she is? But no, you will keep hurting people for your gratification.”

Christian also tried to make him understand but Theodore didn’t pay heed to his words. He stood up with Diana in her arms and left for Theo Dynasty.

Meanwhile

Rose’s P.O.V.

“Why hasn’t she returned till now?”

It’s been two hours since Jasmine had left the house for picking up the fruits from the forest.

Is she in trouble but who can trouble her? The girl is intrepid. She knows how to defend herself but I couldn’t help but worry for her. But what’s intriguing me more is Aunt Stella’s absence. She also hadn’t returned to the manor since morning. Where are they both?

Since I and Jasmine arrived in Azalea village, I have never stayed alone in this cottage which could also justify my fear. A single sound was enough to make me jump.

My ears perked up when I heard the main door creak.

Finally, she is here.

Without wasting a second, I ran outside.

“Jasmine, what took you so long?” I cried and ran to the main door.

My steps halted midway. Words died in my mouth finding my worst nightmare standing in person right in front of me.

“Missed me, sweetheart?”

No way.

“George?”
