Hell

Inside the Palace

To say Zachary was happy would be an understatement. Zachary was on the ninth cloud after his marriage got fixed with his Angel. Brushing his hair for the tenth time while humming a melodious tone he checked himself at the mirror.

“Gosh Zachary, you’re just gonna meet her. You are getting dressed as if you it’s your wedding”, Calix spoke in an irritated tone while watching the younger who was all going frenzy.

“Oh, come on Dude, I am gonna meet my Angel and this is going to be my first date. Man, I am going nuts”, Zachary replied in a worried tone. Calix sighed. He took the brush from his hands and placed it at the dressing table. Calix then wrapped his around his shoulders and looked at him.

“Don’t worry. Everything’s gonna be fine. Listen Zachary, as far as I have understood Diana, she is a girl who is not a fan of outside beauty but judges people from their souls. We all know how much handsome and stalwart you are my King but the thing which you need to control is your temper“, he spoke earnestly. Zachary’s posture immediately turned stiff as soon as he heard his words. He glared at Calix but Calix didn’t flinch a bit.

Well, it was the truth and there was no need to get shy to call a spade a spade. Zachary’s anger and temper issues were the reason why people feared him. He was the Demon of Wrath and it wouldn’t be wrong to say how much Zachary had gone crazy over the graceful Angel. He was smitten by her and Calix had noticed the fire of obsession and possession in the eyes of the green-eyed monster which was increasing with a tremendous rate for the Moon Princess.

And that was the thing Calix feared the most.

Calix had always treated Zachary as his younger brother. He was well aware of his belligerence and obstinateness. He had been with Zachary through thick and thin and had always helped him in controlling his anger. But it was all in the past now. Zachary had now been crowned as the King of Hell.

Although Zachary had always respected Calix as his elder brother there was no doubt, he didn’t get jealous of Diana and his proximity on their small trip to Moonland. The way his demeanor completely changed into Satan when Diana smiled at Calix didn’t go unnoticed by Calix himself. He saw how Zachary’s expressions changed quickly and he was trying so hard not to lose control.

Calix was worried about him but he was more worried about Diana. Zachary’s parents’ concern was right as for God’s sake, Diana was an Angel and​ he was a Devil. Calix was well aware of the fact that this was seriously an insane move of marrying two opposite souls which didn’t have anything in common. But apart from all this, Calix had seen the love and admiration in Zachary’s eyes for the beautiful Angel. It wasn’t lust but true love. He hoped that maybe fate had planned all this and their wedding turns as a blessing in disguise.

“I am getting late for my Angel”, Zachary spat harshly while glaring at Calix.

With that, he flapped his big large black wings in the air. Zachary then closed his eyes and in one swift motion got disappeared into thin air.

As soon as Zachary left, Calix shook his head and sighed.

“I hope everything goes well.”

Moonland

“So, you ran away?”

Rose, Diana’s friend, asked the little Angel who was sitting on the ground while glaring in space.

“I had to Rosie. I mean how come Arthur and Dad can arrange my marriage without even my consent”, Diana spoke and crossed her arms over her chest as she huffed angrily.

“Idiot, you should be sorting this matter out with your brother right now instead of whining and complaining to me. Your parents and your brother must be so worried about you. You should go back to the palace”, Rose tried to explain to her stubborn friend who was glaring at her fiercely.

“Wow!! And then what do you expect would happen with me? Arthur will either scold me or Ariel will give me a lecture from her Royal book of etiquettes and behavior of Angels. And for Lord’s sake, I am in no mood of dealing with all this. Thanks for your golden advice, Fairy Godmother”, she said and rolled her eyes in annoyance. Diana stood up. She dusted her silky white gown before heading out to the divine olive tree.

“WAIT!!! THIS GIRL!”

Diana heard her best friend’s shrills from behind but she ignored her and made her way to the divine tree.

~Flashback

“WHAT ARE YOU SAYING ARTHUR??? WHY WOULD I MARRY THAT DEMON PRINCE??”

Diana screamed in anger while everyone stared at her in shock hearing her sudden outburst. This was the first time Diana had raised her voice. Arthur was stunned to see her sweet and cute sister raging fiercely and glaring at him in hatred. Ariel was too shocked but deep inside she also knew that Diana wasn’t wrong too as she was herself against this marriage. She was just staring at everyone quietly while thinking about the entire situation deeply.

Diana was a kind-hearted and selfless girl. She loved helping others so it was not at all a surprise that she had helped a Demon Prince. She didn’t even know that Zachary was a Demon. Diana had just helped him out of kindness thinking that he was just a man who was in desperate need of help at that time. But Zachary got bewitched with her. It wasn’t his fault too as Diana was the most beautiful girl in Heaven. No wonder she was an Angel but her beauty was breathtaking. Long wavy brown hair, large blue eyes, big and thick eyelashes, pointed nose, soft pink lips, and milky fair skin tone, she looked like a Goddess.

Ariel was well aware that anyone could become crazy about Diana just by her single glance. That’s why Arthur and Ariel were always too protective of her. They had kept her safe and hidden from the entire world but couldn’t hide her from the Demon King. And now there was no escape as Zachary had already warned them that he wants Diana. Ariel was strictly against this marriage but Zachary’s wrath was not hidden from anyone. She was now left in turmoil as she neither wanted to give Diana to Zachary nor she wanted a war.

But then an idea popped into her mind. If Diana herself turns down this marriage, then there’s no way this marriage could take place.

Ariel smiled at Diana and walked to her closer.

“Diana, we don’t want you to marry him. But he is forcing us to make you marry him”, she smiled at her. Diana looked at her in shock while Arthur glared at his wife in anger.

“ARIEL!!!!”

Ariel looked back at Arthur and found him glaring at her.

“WHAT?? How could he? I saved his life and this is how he is repaying me?“, Diana muttered angrily while Ariel smirked in victory.

“Yes, and when we tried to make him understand, he warned us that he wants to marry you, only you. And now we are left with no choice, Angel”, she spoke with teary eyes. Diana looked at her guiltily.

“I am so sorry Ari, I thought that- Forget it. I will talk to that Devil”, she said while staring at her sorrowfully.

“NO, YOU WON’T!!!”

They both turned around and saw Arthur glaring at them both in anger.

“But Arthur-”

Arthur raised his hands in the air making her stop.

“NO MORE DISCUSSION. YOU’RE GOING TO MARRY ZACHARY, THAT’S IT!!!!”

Diana’s eyes got filled with tears as she stared at her brother sadly.

“NO!!! I WON’T LET THIS HAPPEN!!“, Ariel shouted back but Arthur held her arms in a tight grip.

“Stay out of this. Zachary is best for her. I have myself talked with him. Diana will stay happy with him forever”, he spoke sternly. Ariel snatched her arms away from his hold and glared at him in disgust.

“So what? Are you perhaps forgetting that he is a DEVIL!!ARTHUR, ZACHARY IS THE KING OF HELL WHILE DIANA IS AN ANGEL!! HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND? YOU ARE SENDING YOUR SISTER TO LIVE IN HELL? WHAT ARE YOU-”

“DIANA”

Everyone turned around hearing the Queen’s scream only to see Diana running away from the palace.

“NO DIANA WAIT!“, Arthur screamed but till then Diana had left.

End of flashback~

Diana stood in front of the divine olive tree. She looked at it with sad and helpless eyes. The beautiful flowers around the tree also dried up and the birds who were chirping brightly too became sad as they all saw their Angel tearing up and looking at the olive tree with gloomy eyes.

Rose stood behind Diana and looked at her in pity. This was the first time Diana was looking so sad. Everyone in the kingdom was familiar with the bubbly and mischievous Moon Princess who always used to prank others and disturb everyone. No one could say that she was a Princess as she was so naughty but they were never angry at her as everyone loved their Moon Princess very much. But today their Angel was too upset not because she got scolded by her lovely brother but because she felt betrayed. She was so shocked when she came to know that the Demon Prince wants to marry her.

She stood in front of the tree and started speaking in a broken voice.

“I don’t want to marry that Demon Prince. I don’t like him either. I just treated him like nothing else. Please help me, Moria, how can I marry him...”

“When I love the Moon Prince?”

Diana smiled as she recalled her Moon Prince. But then suddenly she heard a deep growl from behind which made her heart jump in fear.

“WHAT??”
