Chapter 51: Chapter 51

Jasmine and Rose remained rooted on their spot. With bated breaths, they slowly tilted their heads to the left only to find Theodore standing there along with George who was staring at them smugly with his hands dipped in the pocket of his pants.

Jasmine was scared shitless but her eyes widened when it hit her that they didn’t enter from the door. Rather they came through a secret door that was hidden behind the bookshelf.

“How come I didn’t even realize that there was a secret pathway here?“, Jasmine muttered under her breath, her hazel eyes still stuck on that metallic door. But the ground slipped beneath her feet when Theodore replied to her.

“Because you were too busy fabricating your new plans with Zachary.”

He knows.

He fucking knows.

Her heart stopped. She was doomed. Now he will throw her out and she wouldn’t be able to do anything. She fucked up really bad.

‘Damn me’, Jasmine cursed in her mind and looked here and there frantically.

Rose clenched her jaw and glared at Jasmine who looked beleaguered.

“Great now.” She gnashed her teeth making Jasmine lower her head in shame. George who was standing near her chuckled.

“Never knew that your little witch was a cunning bitch, darling.”

He snorted. Rose shot him a death glare but the youngest Prince continued mocking her.

Coming closer to her he then eyed her from top to bottom making her uncomfortable, “Looking gorgeous as always.” George spoke in a hoarse voice and bit his lower lip. He raised his hands in the air and was about to touch her face when Rose jerked away from him.

Letting out a plain chuckle, he looked into her fierce eyes but his jaw clenched when he found only hate in them for himself.

“I told you Rosa, you can run but you can’t escape from me. I let you slip once but Prince George never repeats his mistake. This time I would chain you with me and would make sure to ingrain the fact in your head that you are only mine,” he sneered in her ear like a maniac. Rose blanched in horror as she witnessed a complete psychopath in him.

Jasmine was right. He was a completely gone case. George was more terrible than Calix. No matter whether he was a prince, his charms were only to beguile people. He was worse than a demon.

Rose kept staring at him in shock when suddenly her eyes met with Theodore’s who was also watching his brother keenly. Her brows joined together as she found him analyzing George who was looking at her fondly.

She was startled when Jasmine grabbed her wrist and pulled her behind herself, shielding her from his wanton orbs.

“I would kill you if you dare lay a single finger on my sister. Don’t forget I am the Queen of the Theo Dynasty. Even if people disregard my status that won’t change the fact that I still have the upper hand and the authority to punish the one who disrespects me or my position.” She snarled while looking straight into his eyes. She then shifted her eyes back to Theodore whose expression within a flash turned murderous.

George was about to attack her when Rose intervened.

“Please stop it. I am not here for a fight rather I have come here with a plea.” She said and looked at Theodore. But her words troubled Jasmine.

She pulled her back, “We were over this, weren’t we? Then why are you-” Jasmine muttered angrily but she was cut off in between by Theodore.

“What is it?”

He said and looked at Rose, grabbing her attention. Jasmine again tried to stop her but she yanked away her hands and walked toward him.

Inhaling a sharp breath, she spoke in an earnest tone, “I-I know Jasmine made a huge mistake by playing with you my Lord but for that, she is being punished and criticized by everyone, every single day. She got her lesson now, Your Majesty. I also apologize on her behalf for causing you and your family trouble and marring your reputation but please grant us a chance to redeem our mistake. Even Almighty forgives one mistake. Please grant us a chance, My Lord.”

Her eyes flooded with tears by the last. Theodore kept staring at her coldly but he was moved by the sincerity of her words which Jasmine noticed and that was enough for her to go all berserk.

She immediately jumped between them, “There’s no need Rose. I-I told you I am trying my best and Theo is also trying his best to make our marriage successful. Don’t worry. We both will-

“Fine.”

Theodore’s curt reply clammed up her mouth. George looked at Jasmine. His lips curved up in a lopsided smile when he found the dejected look in her eyes. On the other hand, Rose’s eyes gleamed in joy. Flashing him a smile, she bowed at him as relief washed over her. But her joy didn’t last long when she heard his next words.

“But on one condition.”

“What?”

Rose looked at him confused. Theodore then glanced at Jasmine who was already looking at him anxiously.

“We need to talk in private.”

His words left both Jasmine and George confounded.

‘Why in private?’, he thought.

George was over the moon when he finally got his Rose after burning in the fire of separation for so many painful months. He was least interested in Jasmine and Theodore’s life, all he wanted at the moment was to grab his Rosa and take her away with him.

The beautiful damsel had tested his patience enough. Now he was in no mood for any further drama. He didn’t want to lose her now and wanted to make her his before another trouble knocks at his doorstep.

Letting out a nervous smile, George looked at Theodore and mused, “Yeah sure. Jasmine, leave this room.”

“I am sure I didn’t stutter George.”

Theodore harshly rebuffed him and shot him a stern look.

George gulped as Theodore rarely gets mad at him. He loved George the most but he wouldn’t mind putting him in place whenever he crossed the line.

George looked down and simply nodded. He then grabbed Jasmine but she slapped his hands away and rushed to Theodore. Grabbing him by his collar, she looked at him with bloodshot eyes.

“You can’t leave me, don’t forget that we are tied with the sacred bond. Don’t you dare trick my sister and trap her in your games. I am warning you Theodore, you wouldn’t like the consequences.”

She screamed like a mad woman while pulling him closer to her face. Rose was stunned by her violent outburst but Theodore was least bothered. Grabbing her hands, he peeled them away from him and pushed her back as if her touch burned him.

“And you don’t fucking forget that your sister’s life is in my hand. If I only drag her out of this room, she would be killed on spot on charge of treason, betrayal, and being the spy of our enemy. Don’t forget from where she had come. Your sister stayed with a demon, our enemy. So, better seal your mouth and leave quietly. Because you wouldn’t like the consequences if I drag you two to court right now.”

He gritted leaving her dumbfounded. His words left no room for argument as they were the truth.

Sensing her approval, Theodore then gestured to George who took Jasmine out along with him, and this time she followed him like an obedient kid.
