Chapter 48: Chapter 48
Rose jumped to her spot when she heard the same familiar voice that had deprived her of her peace. She slowly turned behind only to confront the same pair of purple eyes.
“Y-You? W-Who are you?”
Rose asked nervously while her eyes ran over her gothic features making her heart shudder. The girl was dressed in a gaudy purple dress that had a deep plunging neckline revealing her large bosoms and a high thigh slit. Her lips were coated in black shade and her long, wavy silver hair was flowing in the air. She was wearing knee-length boots and purple gloves. Her aura radiated dominance and malice.
Rose trembled at her sight. That time she had only seen her eyes, she didn’t know that her savior would be this scary in appearance. An uneasy feeling crept into her chest.
“Trusting these demonic creatures is equivalent to digging your own grave. They could be our enemies who are finding ways to get to us.”
‘What if he is right? What if she is an enemy?’, Rose vaguely wondered. Calix’s words had thrown her into a pool of ambivalent feelings.
Rather than she knew that her suspicion was right cause the girl standing in front of her was none other than Kiora.
Kiora stared into Rose’s fearful eyes deeply. The mistrust was evident in her eyes which made her worried. Rose seemed affected by Calix’s words which was not a good sign as it could ruin her plans.
She needs to do something before Rose changes her mind.
Kiora let out a deep chuckle before making eye contact with her, “I didn’t come here for chit-chat. Let’s come straight to the point. So, is it a yes, or no?”
Rose was taken off guard by her straightforward answer. Calix’s warnings were ringing in her mind like danger bells but she also can’t deny what she had seen and heard earlier. Ignoring those caveats could prove fatal to Jasmine.
“I-I, don’t know. Is Jasmine really-“, Rose chose her words wisely but Kiora instantly cut her off.
“So, you came in your lover’s words? Alright, I didn’t want to tell this to you but you left no other option for me.”
Rose stiffened by her firm tone, “What you didn’t want to tell me?”
Kiora internally smirked when she noticed her words working on her.
‘So gullible’
She inhaled a sharp breath before speaking, “Your sister was caught by Prince George.”
Kiora then narrated the whole thing to Rose that had happened in Theo Dynasty, omitting the part when Jasmine played smart and turned the tables. Instead, she fabricated another story of how Jasmine was caught and punished for treachery.
“She was found guilty and on the charge of treason, she would be beheaded tomorrow, at the break of dawn.”
Rose gasped in horror. Fresh tears stained her already soaked cheeks as she stared at her emotionless purple orbs and her austere expression forced her to believe her words.
Her sister, her only family was about to get killed. Her face turned white as a sheet as she almost forgot how to breathe. Her knees gave up and she fell to the floor with a thud. Placing her hand on her chest, Rose started wheezing hard while murmuring Jasmine’s name again and again.
Kiora’s P.O.V.
Here comes the waterfall.
I mentally groaned while watching that good-for-nothing girl bawling her eyes out.
Pathetic woman.
I kept quiet for a while to let her collect herself. I knew Calix had left for the royal palace and there was no one here except the guards. But if she keeps wasting my time, I won’t be able to take my plan to the next level.
George’s words rang in my head. I needed to do this by today itself. Hope by then, he would have talked to Theodore regarding this, and then we would wait for the mighty King’s move.
Flashback
“What do you want me to do, Prince George?“, I drawled out while trailing my fingers on his toned chest. George immediately slapped my hands away and moved back making me chuckle.
“I need you to bring Rose to me. I don’t know how will you do that but I want her at any costs.” He grated out making me roll my eyes.
“What’s all your fetish with those angels? Theodore and Zachary are crazy for Diana while you and Calix are mad for Rose? Are there only two females left in this whole universe that men are ready to kill each other to have them?” I took a jibe at him oblivious to the fact that my words were only exasperating him.
George turned red in anger. Shooting me a death glare, he spoke with clenched teeth, “Don’t you dare say that bastard’s name in front of me. Rose is mine. Because of Brother and that bitch, I let her slip away but not this time. I can’t go there otherwise I wouldn’t have waited for a second and dragged her here. That’s why I am asking for your help. And you can’t go back on your words. Remember Kiora, I once saved your life and in return you owe me.”
My anger flared up when he reminded me of my promise. “I fucking know that. But what are you gonna do once I bring Rose here? Cage her? Don’t forget her sister is the Queen right now. And as far as I have analyzed Jasmine, she is a cunning bitch. If she can trick people to marry Theodore, she wouldn’t hesitate to kill you to save her sister.”
I told him. But to my surprise, George simply scoffed at my words.
“Don’t worry. I have made a fabulous plan this time. As soon you leave for Binnazun Dynasty, I would tell Brother everything.”
“WHAT??”
‘This man has lost his mind for sure.’
I stormed towards him in rage and grabbed him by his collar, “Are you in case planning to kill me? Don’t you know what would happen once he comes to know about our deal? Your brother hates our existence, George and you’re planning to inveigle him in our plan. He would never agree to this moreover he would kill me once he comes to know that I am in his fucking territory.”
“He won’t. Trust me.” George assured me.
I narrowed my eyes at him, “Stop comforting me, jerk. You and I both know that’s impossible. Theodore would never agree to this.” I sneered at his face and pushed him back.
But his next words baffled me.
“He would agree to every plan which could help him to get rid of his unwanted wife. And for that, he would defy all the principles and break all the rules.”
“What do you mean?”
George flashed me a fiendish smile and crossed his arms over his chest, “You see Kiora, my brother despises Jasmine to his core. He wants to get rid of her as apart from Zachary, she is the biggest obstacle in his path which would lead him to Diana. His hands are tied until she is in his life. Even if he gets Diana, he can’t make her his wife as his soul is still tied with Jasmine because of the sacred bond.” He explained to me.
I huffed, “So, what are you both planning to do? Kill Jasmine once I bring Rose here?”, I questioned him. George shook his head in denial.
“No, not at all. I have nothing to do with Jasmine. You just bring Rose here, the rest of the work will be done by King Theodore himself and I guarantee you Kiora, he would for sure help me in my plan.”
George was too confident about his plan. But I highly doubt that would happen. If he hadn’t saved my life once, I would never have got myself involved with this dipshit.
Nevertheless, right now my main goal is to send this Angel to Theo Dynasty, and then I would get free from the debt and work on my plan.
Diverting my gaze to Rose, I took a deep sigh and walked toward her. Crouching down to her level, I held her shoulders, grabbing her attention.
“Listen, Rose, it’s not the time to lament but for action. Stop wavering and better take a firm decision. Your delay and hesitation would cost you your sister’s life.” I spat as I was so done with her drama.
Rose gasped in shock and started shaking her head vigorously, “No, please don’t say that. I-I am ready to do anything. Please take me there. I beg you, please.” She cried while holding my hands.
‘Finally’
My lips twitched in a victorious smirk. I nodded and made her stand on her feet. Flicking my fingers in the air, I evoke the magical conduit and looked back at Rose who was staring at everything with wide eyes.
“Hold my hand.” She then looked at my hand and took a century before placing her trembling one in mine. I gripped her hand firmly and immediately pulled her forward. She looked at me in shock.
“W-What are you doing?”
She spoke but I kept staring at her.
“Have a safe landing.”
I said and smirked at her terror-stricken face before pushing her inside the loop.
