Chapter 11: Chapter 11
/Lukas POV/
I couldn't think straight. Atleast not till I was fully convinced that Talia was safe. There were unknown dangers lurking in the shadows on the earth. She was innocent and probably had no idea of what's going to come or what was happening to her. Before anything happens I should do something about it.
The three fairies looked elated as I tried to think about something. Why were they so happy about it? I thought while staring at them.
"Why are you so happy about it?"
They shared a look. Were they talking among themselves again? I held my breath until one of them turned towards me.
"Do you not realise King that you are going to create history?" Mia giggled, her arms stretched in a dramatic manner.
My eyebrows furrowed together, "History? How?"
Gia took a deep breath as she dragged me towards the thread display. I made a face at her touch but followed anyways. As I noticed the display closely there was some kind of inscription on them. How intricate were they?
Gia went around the corner as I stood there watching the thread dim and fall by. It was so shocking to see so many threads hanging loose at the same times. It might be the number of people hanging on a thread for life. No pun intended of course.
My eyebrows raised in curiosity when I noticed the golden box in her hand. It looked heavy as she cradled it in between her hands. What was she holding?
"Here" Gia softly said forwarding the box towards me. I glanced at Mia and Sia who were staring at the box with twinkles in their eyes.
"What is it?" I questioned, still hesitant to touch that box.
"Open it my king"
"Uh..." I drawled while leaning toward and opening the box. The sudden glow from inside blindsided me for a while. Moving back I squinted my eyes.
"What is it?"
Gia picked the thread from the box and held it in her pale white hands. It glowed on her skin.
"You see this thread?
"Yeah"
"It is the fate of your child. We weaved it together"
My mouth fell open at that. I was looking at my child's fate. An unknown emotion fluttered in my chest.
Mia hummed while standing beside her sister, "It's only glowing because Miss Talia is carrying it."
"What do you mean by that?"
"Your child will be half demon, my King..."
"And demons don't have fate" I completed the sentence for her. The thought didn't sit right with me. Before I had no idea that I was capable of being a father. But Talia was pregnant with my demon child who was going to create history somehow.
Gia hummed, "Your child does. Notice the colour of thread?"
I peeked at the thread again. It was half black and half white which was strange. The other threads were of different colours.
"It's made of two colours" I wondered out loud.
"Because in the end the person is determined by his choices, not by his fate. You child can either choose either."
Gia walked towards the display, bent down and weaved my child's thread beside a white glowing one. It must be Talia's. My chest felt at ease with her words. Maybe it won't be that bad after all if my child chooses wisely. If my child wishes to be human it can and that's something I would never oppose.
"My King, are you going to get Miss Talia?" Mia asked, her voice high pitched and a huge smile on her face. I narrowed my eyes for a while before nodding my head. There has to be some kind of way to get her in Hell.
"She can still be in Hell without dying" Sia mumbled, her voice pointed as she stared in my direction. How did she know what I was thinking?
Gia shrugged, "The room reflects your thoughts"
Creepy. I thought staring around the room. For someone who claimed to be righteous and God sent they were really something. Anyways the important thing was getting Talia in Hell.
No living souls have been able to survive the wrath of Hell. It's just not in their nature to sustain the vivid visuals and live with it. That's why only the soles are bought and kept in the chamber for torture. They don't have any human functions in them, kind of lifeless souls.
Besides I never had the opportunity to bring someone personally to Hell. It was going to be tricky if I was going to do something like that.
"How can I bring her then?" I questioned, my hands clenched behind my back. This is why I hated being a demon. We will always be shorthanded in terms of knowledge and have to rely on the godly creatures.
Gia scoffed, "You cannot do that but someone else can"
I frowned at that. Being a Demon King should at least get me something. What was fun in that if I couldn't do anything? My lips pursed together.
"Who?"
Sia turned towards me, "Your first in command"
My mouth parted at that, "Dean?"'
Did they not know that he was merely one of my soldiers? How can he do that? I laughed at the thought. They must be mistaken for sure.
"He is my first in command. I don't think he can do anything about it"
"You'll be surprised my King at what others are capable of" Sia hummed, her eyes focused on the pool. It was kind of embarrassing to admit but out of three of them, Sia made me question the most. She was different than the two of them and too creepy for my liking.
"He's just a demon!"
"We know but you don't know that he's more than that" Mia forwarded me what look like in ancient parchment. Staring at her for a few seconds I looked at the writing. It was in Latin of course but lucky for me I took up Latin while in high school.
My eyes widened when I noticed that Dean was one of the devotees of God. He fought from their side during the great war but after losing his family he lost faith. Even though he was one of the loyal no one batted an eye at his grief and asked him to move on. That's why he committed suicide and ended up in Hell.
"Wow" I blinked several times. It was a shame that I did not know anything about his past and he had been working for me from several decades now. Why did not he say anything about it?
"I had no idea"
"It's funny isn't it?"
"What is?" I snapped, glaring at Sia. It pissed me off when she acted like know it all which was most of the times. That's the reason I detested being in their company. If I heard Leo suggesting me to go to them again I was going to kill him.
"That we think we know everything about everyone," Sia said cooly
Kill him. Seriously kill him multiple times.
Scoffing at her tone I rolled my eyes and walked out of there. Stupid twinkies and their stupid philosophical words.

Dean was guarding the arms room. He didn't have to actually but it's something he likes doing because of all the weapons inside. Most of the time he's messing around with them and I just let him.
"Dean" I cleared my throat standing outside the room. At my voice, he instantly dropped the weapon in his hand and walked outside. To think he served to God was still mind-blogging to me.
"Yes, my King" He bowed down in a greeting. I walked along and asked him to follow me.
"I want you to do something important for me"
He nodded his head, softly humming, "Anything you want my master"
"Recently I found out that you have the power of bringing people in Hell without having to kill them..." I drawled finally standing against the wall. His cheeks were bright red as he ducked his head down and nodded.
"I am sorry my lord"
"Don't be" I shook my head
"Hmm?"
"You are helpful after all so I wouldn't apologise if I were you"
He still looked confused at my words. The parchment was still sitting in my pocket so I ripped it to shreds in front of me.
"I won't kick you out of Hell if that's what you are worried about"
His eyes brightened at that, "Really?"
"Yes I'm going to forget about this betrayal if you do something for me Dean"
"Anything my king"
I made a flash in the air and showed him the picture of Talia. The exact memory of her I had in my mind. It was of that night we met in the club. I pointed at her.
"Talia here is carrying my baby so I want you to bring her back to my castle. Safe and secure."
"As you please" He bowed down and was gone before I could blink.
