Chapter 14: Chapter 14
Over the next few weeks, Paxton and I worked together in secret to come up with a plan to help and save everyone . We would meet in hidden corners of the estate, whispering and plotting, always watching out for anyone who might be listening.
It was a dangerous game we were playing, but I couldn’t help but feel a sense of excitement.I have envisioned myself with this kind of life in the past solving a mystery., I felt like I was doing something important, something that could help not just me but everyone here..
One day, as we were huddled together in a dark corner of the estate, Paxton turned to me with a serious expression on his face.
”Elena, I think it’s time for us to take action. The werewolves are getting more and more aggressive, and we need to do something before it’s too late.”
I nodded, feeling a sense of fear and determination at the same time. ”What do you want me to do?”
Paxton took a deep breath, looking me in the eyes. ”I need you to gather as many people as you can. We’re going to stage a fight.”
My heart pounded in my chest. A fight? Against the Dark wolves? It seemed impossible, but at the same time, it felt like the only option we had left.
”I can do that,” I said, my voice barely above a whisper.
Paxton smiled at me, his hand on my shoulder. ”I know you can. And I’ll be there with you every step of the way.”
True to his word, Paxton was there with me every step of the way. Together, we organized everyone, convincing them to join us in our fight for freedom. We spent hours in secret, planning, and strategizing, always watching our backs to make sure no one was listening.
Finally, the day arrived. It was a cool, crisp morning, and the sun was just starting to rise over the horizon. We gathered in a large group, standing outside the Alpha’s estate, holding signs and chanting slogans.
At first, nothing happened. The werewolves watched us from the safety of their estate, looking down on us with disdain. But as our voices grew louder, and our numbers grew stronger, something changed.
One by one, the werewolves started to emerge from their estate, looking down at us with surprise and anger. They had never imagined that we could stand up to them before, and they didn’t know where our morales came from.
But we didn’t back down. We stood our ground, our voices growing stronger with each passing moment. And then, something amazing happened.
The werewolves started to listen. They didn’t want a fight rather they wanted to listen.
At first, it was just a few of them, tentatively stepping forward to speak with us. But as we wouldn’t give up ,more and more werewolves emerged from their estate, ready to listen to our grievances.
It was a strange feeling, to be standing there, talking to the very people who had oppressed us. But as we spoke, I could see no change in their eyes. They were laughing at us .
It wasn’t perfect, and there was still a long way to go. But for the first time since I got here, I felt like we had a chance to be free.
As it went on, Paxton turned to me with a smile on his face. He stood inside with the werewolves but I knew he wasn’t. Part of them”
I nodded, feeling a sense of pride and hope wash over me.
I found myself standing there in high spirit.. He smiled at me, a look of pride in his eyes.
Meanwhile, the Lunas had made their own gathering, and they were shouting and protesting in front of the Dark Alpha’s tent. He never comes out. They call him the Alpha of the-Alphas.
Paxton went there too, trying to calm them down. ”Please, everyone, let’s not do anything we’ll regret,” he said, his voice calm but firm.
But the Lunas were beyond reason. They were angry and hurt, and they wanted justice. They refused to be silenced any longer.
That was when one of the werewolf stepped up. He looked furious, his eyes glinting with anger. ”What is the meaning of this?” he demanded, his voice booming.
The Lunas continued to shout and protest, and the Alpha’s anger only grew. ”Enough!” he roared, and then suddenly, everything happened at once.
One of the Lunas lunged at the Alpha, a fierce expression on his face. The werewolf retaliated, punching Luna hard in the face. And then, chaos erupted.
People were shouting and fighting, and I could hear the sounds of bones cracking and flesh hitting flesh. I was frozen in place, watching in horror as the camp descended into madness.
I could see Paxton in the middle of it all, trying to break up the fight. He was shouting, but I couldn’t hear what he was saying over the noise. And then, suddenly, someone came up behind him, hitting him over the head with a rock.
My heart raced as I watched him crumple to the ground, blood streaming from his head. I wanted to run to him, to help him, but I was frozen in place. I couldn’t move, couldn’t breathe.
And then, everything went black.
When I woke up, I was lying in my tent, my head pounding. I sat up, wincing in pain, and tried to gather my thoughts. What had happened? And where was Paxton?
As the fighting continued, I saw one of the guards land a blow on Luna’s jaw, and he crumpled to the ground. My heart raced as I realized that he was badly hurt.
Before I could do anything, the Alpha’s voice boomed out over the din. ”Enough!”
The fighting stopped instantly, and everyone turned to face the Alpha. He surveyed the scene, his eyes flicking over the injured and the unconscious.
”Anyone who has taken part in this rebellion will be punished,” he declared. ”You have all shown disrespect for the pack and me, and that cannot be tolerated.”
My heart sank as I watched the werewolfturn to the Lunas, who was cowering in the corner. ”And as for you,” he snarled, ”you have shown weakness and cowardice. You will be made an example of.”
I felt a surge of fear for the Lunas, and I knew that I had to do something. I stepped forward, trying to reason with the Alpha.
”Please, Alpha,” I pleaded. ”The Lunas are not to blame for this. They’re doing everything they can, but they need our help. Punishing them won’t solve anything.”
Elena.
The Alpha’s eyes flicked to me, and I could see the anger in his expression. ”You’re right,” he growled. ”Punishing them won’t solve anything. But it will show
I stumbled out of my tent, trying to get my bearings. The camp was eerily quiet, and I could see people moving around, looking dazed and confused. And then, suddenly, we were all made to move to an unknown destination.
As we get closer, we can see a group of werewolves gathered in a circle. In the center of the circle is a young luna, his hands tied behind his back. The Dark alpha, a towering figure with broad shoulders and piercing blue eyes, stands over him with a look of cold fury.
”You think you can challenge my authority?” theAloha growls , his voice low and menacing. ”You think you can get away with defying me?”
One of the Luna, who is small and scrappy-looking, stands his ground. ”I’m not defying you,” he says, his voice shaking with anger. ”I’m just asking for a fair share. We deserve better than this.”
The Alpha snarls and takes a step forward, his massive fists clenched. ”You deserve nothing,” he says, his voice rising to a roar. ”You’re lucky I don’t rip your throat out for your insolence.”
I couldn’t believe what was happening. Paxton’s plan was incredibly risky, and it resulted in serious consequences for everyone involved.
But the more I pondered on this, the more I realized that my fear was growing on a fast pace with full intensity , when the spear turns to me, what will be my fate? Could I ever withstand the abuse from these untamed werewolves?
