Chapter 35: Chapter 35

Olivia's pov:

Subsequent to hearing about Sam's extreme hatred for me, I totally forgot why I even came to LA! I forgot the Olivia who was jumping for joy to meet Sam, her idol.

It seemed as though I have received a major shock of reality. I didn't know why I didn't understand this since the time Sam told me to stay away!

Why was I desperate for reasons? Was it because I had a tiny amount of hope left in me that he would come back?

If that were true, it was apparent that I needed to crush that false hope within me! Keeping that thing leeching on to me would cause me more pain every day.

I must forget about it! I must forget about.......Sam!

There was no other way to put it! Even though it was going to be extremely hard, I knew I had to do it!

I had to ignore him and move on, no matter the situation.

Dr Ryan discharged me an hour later after I filled out all the paperwork work in a dimly lit room which I realized was the receptionist's room.

I returned the notepad and pen in the front desk when I stumbled upon Jessica!

I was so happy and relieved to know she was doing well. Her blonde hair was scattered around her shoulders like a mess. A few band-aids covered up her cuts and wounds but her deep blue-ish bruises were left exposed.

It was pretty clear that she received a lot more damage than I did. I had a couple of cuts but that was just about it apart from a bruise on my knee.

It seemed crazy how both of us needed blood. But hey! What do I know about medical treatment?!

I tipped toed slowly towards her as she walked like a snail over to the exit. I did not want to surprise her and cause any problems, so I approached her quite gently.

"Jessica?" I whispered with fear in my voice.

I was worried about her reaction! I hope she wouldn't get angry and cause harm to herself.

Without even turning her face towards me, she responded, "Olivia?" as her shoulders started to shiver.

She turned around and I was able to take a good look at her teary eyes. It looked like they were going to cry a waterfall.

I scanned her face entirely, feeling confused by her emotions. It was definitely something I did not expect.

"Are you ok? Are you hurt?" she started asking frantically.

She started holding my hand, trying to feel if I was experiencing any pain.

Her care and concern for me made my body weak and I too started crying.

Those tears not only represented the recent events but also past events.

Jessica's reactions completely threw me off as it did not align with Sam's awful behavior. I thought they were on the same page for me.

As my brain was trying to unscramble these mysteries, Jessica added for twists and turns by suddenly coming over and extending her arms to give me a hug.

I gasped as I witnessed something, I thought I never would ever witness! It felt so surreal.

I contemplated a lot whether to straight-up ask Jessica about her feelings towards me and I decided I wouldn't.

I did not want to destroy such a beautiful moment with my questions. I would just have to wait for a while.

We walked out of the hospital and reached the parking lot as we chatted about our experiences in the accident.

A black car parked up right in front of us.

Jessica without any sort of heads up opened the passenger seat and made herself sit comfortably in the cool car.

I was shocked to see Jessica just sit in some random car so I lowered my head to take a look at who the driver would be and that's when my world froze.

I saw Sam sitting behind the wheel with his keys in the ignition and hand on top of the gear lever.

I really wasn't in the mood for an awkward car ride, but I didn't really have a choice as it seemed that Jack and Nikita had already left to the hotel a while ago.

I sat next to Jessica in the passenger seat and fastened up my seatbelt in anger as I glanced over at Sam's face.

With the click of the keys in the ignition, the car's engine started, and we were off to the road.

As I had expected, the car ride was pretty much boring and awkward with Jessica falling asleep, leaving Sam and me alone.

I tried to force myself asleep, but I just couldn't close my eyes shut! They just refused to comply.

It was that moment when I captured a few instances where Sam would often look at me through the front mirror.

I felt extremely uncomfortable during those times that I just gave up and pretended to fall asleep just like Jessica.

Over an hour of silence passed and the car ride was over.

Sam parked the car in front of the hotel lobby. I "woke" up from my pretend sleep and exited the car.

I caught one last look at Sam who had an angry expression on his face. This man was literally so confusing! Why was he angry this time? Did he not want me in the car?

I ignored him and went straight into my room. As I was taking a shower, the pain from my bruises was immense as I had to stretch my hands a lot in order to avoid water from getting onto my band-aids.

As the night began to take over, I fell asleep on my comfy bed.

However, my night wasn't so peaceful as the pain from the few bruises I had kept on waking me up whenever I would lay down on them.

I woke up early in the morning and prepared myself for Vidcon day 2. I knew this day was going to be a task, but I wanted to do it regardless.

I struggled to do most of my morning routine due to my right hand getting injured. Even the simplest thing like brushing my hair felt like I was breaking a few stones.

A few hours later, I found myself getting out of the bus along with Nikita who was quite helpful in making me laugh during the bus ride.

The bus dropped us off a bit far from the building than yesterday, so we had to walk past the parking lot into the building.

As we were heading towards the entrance of the building, I noticed my pace was a lot slower than Nikita.

Feeling guilty of making Nikita late, I insisted she walk ahead of me to which she complied without much effort.

I saw everyone entering the building while I remained behind with my pain that still lingered in my body.

I was halfway to the entrance of the building when suddenly I felt something behind me.

I froze at my spot when I saw a car behind me from the reflection of the mirrors of the other cars in the parking lot.

Before I could do anything, I felt my hand being grabbed by someone and in a flash, I was pulled into the car.
