Chapter 47: Chapter 47

Ingrid's POV

"It's a parent, you keep on replying nonsense!" I was annoyed at him. I said to apologize to some parents which he replied to. He's really crazy. I couldn't help but be irritated with him because of it.

"I'm sorry, I just replied because you're too lazy to reply," he joked so I just glared at him.

"Next time, you won't be able to touch my phone!" I complained to him. He laughed at me because of the way I looked at him.

“I'm sorry, that will be the last time. Others are already scared,” he said so I immediately looked at him and glared.

"Hehe, joke," he said when he saw me glaring at him.

We are back to being busy because siesta time is over. Indigo and Raya wrap what the customer purchases. The work is not tiring at all because I had the chance to talk with my father and daughter tandem.

When the customer is gradually gone, Indigo said goodbye and left for a while. I let him go, maybe he saw some of his troops outside again but I was surprised when he came back with a cheesecake.

"Omg?" I wondered.

“I thought you’re craving about this. I saw your retweet,” he said with a smile. It just looks delicious but I didn't crave it at all.

"So when I retweet you'll buy everything?" I asked while raising an eyebrow at him.

"Why not if I have money?" he answered questioningly. He also handed Raya a burger with vegetables.

I just stared at him before slowly smiling.

"What the heck? You are falling in love with me again,” he laughed jokingly so I rolled my eyes at him.

"You're thick-skin," I said laughing as well.

That's what often happened when he’s here. The three of us still have time to bond whihc each other even if we're all busy. We were often just at home when he came from work. Aside from the fact that he was also tired from his work, it was also a waste of time that we were on the road so we always make the most of our time at home.

Our house and Ing & Ind are already in the process too. I tried to transfer the shop to his name so he just returned it to me. We were still arguing at first until it was decided that we both will own it.

“Nanay! Tatay! I'm ready! ” Raya excitedly said when she run towards us.

We will look for a costume for our Halloween party here in our barangay. She wanted to join and her father was very supportive so he immediately told us to buy a costume. Our child is so spoiled to the point that Indigo can't really do anything. Raya always gets him with her smile.

"Tatay, you're going to be Victor then Nanay will be Emily, then I'm just mini Emily of the corpse bride!" she said so Indigo immediately agreed.

"Alright, if that's what you want," he said, smiling at his daughter.

I thought we were just going to the mall but he called a well-known designer so I couldn't stop talking to him and just be practical.

"It will only be used once, it's just a waste of money," I said.

"Exactly, this is just once," he said, smiling widely at me. I can't help but sigh at him because of this. Even when it is really expensive, he will always use the excuse that he wants to give Raya the worth of the years he was gone. If I know he just really wants to spoil her.

When we got to the designer, Raya was the first one who look for her gown. I smiled as she modeled her gown in front of us.

"I like this one," she said when she finally choose.

"You're going to be next, Tatay," she said. Indigo was also quick to choose what to wear. The Halloween party is only one day but really expensive. I feel kind of bad for Indigo.

“There's a white gown at home, that's probably the one I'll use. It's just a Halloween party,” I said, turning to Indigo but my lips immediately parted when he knelt in front of me while holding a ring.

“Would you like to finally live with me and Raya, Ingrid? Shall we make a mini Raya again?” he asked, so some staff inside laughed while Raya just covered her ear. I still can't believe it as I look at him. I don’t even know what to say.

"Yes and not yet," I laughed as I promised when I recovered. I can see the joy on Raya's face because of that.

"I love you, My constant," he whispered to me.

"I love you too, My safe place," I said.

I ended up looking for a gown for our wedding. I was still embarrassed when I came out after I bought a simpler gown.

I came out wearing it. Indigo just stared at me while Raya was already clapping. I couldn't help but laugh because of her wide smile.

"Heck, I can't wait to marry you," Indigo said who still didn't take his eyes off me. We ended our fitting when I found a gown right away. He wants a new gown for the designer to sew but it's not really needed. I'm not looking for a grand wedding because I'm satisfied with the two of them.

While we were in the car, I just stared at the diamond ring I was wearing. I still can't believe that in an instant we will actually get married.

"Where do you want to get married?" he asked me.

"At the National Shrine of La Virgen Divina Pastora here in Nueva Ecija," I said.

That was the first place I visited here in Nueva Ecija. I felt like it welcomed me.

"What about you?" I asked him.

"It doesn't really matter. As long as you are the one I'll get to marry," he said to me with a smile. I just roll my eyes at him.

"Should I'll be the one who should suggest when then?" he asked with a smirk.

"I doubt you that," I laughed because I'm sure he wants to get married tomorrow. I laughed when I realized that I was right.

"Silly, that's too soon," I said, shaking my head.

"I'll live with you and Raya," he said, smiling at me.

"We already live in the same house," I said.

"But still, it's different," he said.

"I can't wait to sleep after waiting for you to be done with your work," he told me.

"I just can't wait to spend my lifetime with both of you and of course with our next child," he said with a smile.

When we got home, Jolie screamed when she saw the ring in my hand.

“Omg! Finally! There is no scolding every morning!” she said so the three of them laughed while I was ready to hear him in the groin.

"Omg, congrats, Ate!" Irah hugged me tightly. I smiled because of that.

"Nice, Big Brother!" Sandro said up here with Indigo.

"Congrats, Nak," Papa greeted me.

"Thank you, Papa," I said, slightly smiling at Papa as well.

They cooked spaghetti and just invited our neighbors to eat. When the three of us were in the room, we were just talking about things.

"Love, look at this," Indigo said pointing at the camera of his cellphone. I raised my fingers while smiling.

I just watched the smile widen on Indigo’s lips and him change the wallpaper on his phone.

"Is it fine if I'll post it on my ig?" he asked me.

"Why not? Will anyone be angry?” I asked, glancing at him.

"Yeah, you," he said, laughing before Raya hugged us. I can't help but smile when I see his post on ig.

"Looks like I'll finally marry my dream hehe.'

I can't help but feel my lips parted. He just laughed softly because of that. Raya was already drowsy so she sleep immediately. Indigo and I were having fun when his phone rang.

"Your Mom is calling," I said to Indigo when I saw that the call is from his Mommy.

"I don't want to answer it," he said weakly. It also looks like he also wants to answer the call but is just hesitant.

"She did you wrong," he told me.

“No, she didn’t. She just cares about you… a lot. Do you know what I realize? Maybe if someone is the reason why Raya is walking away from me, I will also be angry. I also realized the source of your Mama's resentment,” I said.

“I realized that you turned your world revolving around me so much back then, Indigo. We became so dependent on each other that we were both got destroyed but now we should learn from those mistakes. We shouldn't derive each other from the world. I know you love me and sometimes we don't need to be together every day just to say we love each other,” I said, smiling at him.

"Answer your Mom's call, I bet she really misses you…" I said as I showed him his phone again. He just stared at it before he smiled at me and nodded.

"I'm really lucky to have you, you know?" he asked me. I just rolled my eyes at him because of that. He also answered his Mommy's call. He's really serious. Not even the playful Indigo could be traced while talking to his Mom. Afterward, he smiled as well.

“I miss you too, Mom. We will visit you… yes,” he said from the other line. He looked at me so I smiled at him.

We were really together when we visited Cavite. I could feel my nervousness when we went there while Raya had excitement on her face.

“Do you really want to visit?” Indigo asked me. I nodded and smiled at him.

"Yes, I also want to apologize to your Mom," I said so he stared at me.

"I'm really so—" I didn't let him finish.

"Silly," I laughed. Later on, we arrived at Indigo's house. We were also immediately greeted by some of their maids. Raya, who was holding me tightly, also came down. I just smiled at him and messed up her hair.

"Don't worry, they will like you," I said. I know they will.

Indigo's parents greeted him. They were shocked when they saw Raya. They are just staring at her.

"You look very much like your Tatay, Nak," his Mom said. Her smile widens while looking at our daughter. Raya even introduced herself so even Indigo's Dad looked at her in amazement. They were already talking with Raya. The smile spontaneously curved from my lips because I could see they were getting along. They like her. At first, I was twice as nervous as the child but now that I'm looking at them, I can't help but be happy.

"I also have one Grandpa," Raya said with a smile.

"Oh, that's one of the rarest plants in the Philippines," she said, pointing to another plant. My eyes goes to Indigo and his Mom, I just watch them. She smiled at her child and even hugged him.

"Thank you. I'm sorry again, Son," Tita whispered to him.

"It's nothing, Ma, I'm sorry too," Indigo said who hugged back to his mother. I just smiled there too.

"Can we talk?" Tita asked me. Indigo turned to the two of us. I could see he looked hesitant but I just smiled and nodded.

We went to a quiet part of their house.

"I'm sorry for what I said the last time we talked," I sincerely said but she just shook his head.

“I should apologize to you, I'm sorry for what I said, Hija. I am also a mother. I suppose to know how you feel,” she told me.

“I'm really sorry if that's how I treated you. I'm sorry if I blame you for why Indigo's heart is slowly moving away from us and his Dad. I just want the best for my son. I don’t want him to just be tied to someone. I don’t want him to make someone his world because I know immediately the effect of that when he loses it. And it happened, when you disappeared, his world didn't seem to be spinning anymore. I don't like that. I was just afraid that it would happen again now that you are back,” she said. I nodded because I knew that she was right. We both turn to each other into our world which is not supposed to happen.

"I'm sorry, I'm not even aware that that's what was happening back then…" I said while just bowing my head.

“No, I’m sorry for being harsh on you. I should have talked to you properly. I'm really sorry… I really do. ” I smiled at her as she took my hands.

"I'm sorry too po…" I said. She smiled and nodded at me.

“It doesn’t matter anymore. I'm happy for both of you,” she said, looking at my ring now. I was a little embarrassed there. She looked at me with a smile. It was really genuine.

"Am I invited to your wedding?" she laughed while asking.

"Yes," I said with a wide smile. Wow. This feels surreal.
