Lit POV

I slowly peeked out the window to see Von who was now standing in front of Aphrodite's coffin. From where I was standing I could feel the sadness flowing through him because of Aphrodite's death.

Am I too late Is Aphrodite really what Von wants? I thought I was still...

"Lit..." I turned to the one who called me, Fin. Last night some of Von's brothers came to their house after they found out about what happened to Aphrodite.

"Fin... What do you need?" I asked, I saw Fin's sigh then looked at Von's position.

"Why don't you want to approach Von?" he asked causing me to remain silent.

He looked at me for a moment then returned his gaze to Von. "You should have been there by his side especially when he needs you at this time." He added so I became even more silent. I remembered again what Von had said that Aphrodite was always there by his side when Von needed me, that Aphrodite was always his companion when Von was alone.

Maybe it was because of that opportunity that Von became close to Aphrodite and maybe that's why he developed his view of Aphrodite because I hurt him so much then.

"I'm just giving him time to warm up." I said while looking at Von. I could feel Fin staring at me but I just ignored it.

"Then Clementine's upstairs. You can go see her there while giving Von time." He said that's why I looked at him, Clementine. It's been a while since I last saw her.

I immediately went upstairs to where Clementine was, I knocked on the door before entering, my smile disappeared when I saw that Clementine was sleeping soundly, I just smiled then went out the door again.

I took a deep breath and looked at the stairs. Will I still go down to see Von? but as I told Fin earlier, Von needed time to calm him down, so he would have time to think.

Instead of going down, I just went to Yezrah's room, from the door I saw her sleeping soundly on the bed, I slowly went inside and closed the door.

I approached my daughter who was sleeping soundly, I had many shortcomings in her that Aphrodite filled, I had done many mistakes to her. Maybe that's why Yezrah was sad when she found out that Aphrodite was gone.

I sat on the edge of Yezrah's bed then removed the hair blocking her face.

I can't blame Aphrodite why it was such a pain for Von and Yezrah to lose her, maybe all my shortcomings were filled by her during the times when I wasn't by their side.

If only I could turn back time...

I sincerely watched Yezrah sleeping next to me, I don't know if I'm still welcome in this house after what happened, I feel like the chaos we're experiencing now started, I feel like it started the day I left Franco to be with Yezrah and Von that's when all the trouble started.

If only I had known that everything was going to be this messy, I would not have run away from Franco, so I didn't see Von and Yezrah grieving like this.

My eyes began to wander inside Yezrah and Von's room, from where I was sitting I saw the picture of the two of them with Aphrodite hanging on the wall of the room, sadness and envy again drew in my chest. I was supposed to be there with them, but because of Franco I was separated from them.

I stared at Yezrah again, this time feeling fear for my daughter and for my relationship with Von. Because of Von's actions, I'm not sure if he still wants to build our family.

I stopped thinking when I noticed something different about Yezrah, I immediately frowned when I noticed the bruise on her neck.

"Where did you get it Yezrah?" I asked even though I knew Yezrah wouldn't answer me because she was asleep.

I carefully held Yezrah's neck where the bruise was, I cursed in my mind when I felt the strange warmth she had now.

"Yezrah.." I called and woke her up, "Yezrah, wake up." I said I was trying to wake up Yezrah until I stopped again because of the strange stain on the white bedsheet that Yezrah was lying on, I slowly touched it and smelled it.

Blood..

"Yezrah!" I shouted and charged Yezrah who was now very hot. Trembling ran through my body because of my daughter's situation.

"Von... Von!" I shouted as I teleported down to where Aphrodite was lying. I feel the gaze of Von brothers to me.

"Yezrah, there is something wrong with her!" I said as I walked towards them, Creed immediately met me and took Yezrah from me.

"She's hot." Creed said causing my chest to heave even more.

"I'm sure Franco did it again, I'm sure he did it to Yezrah." I said and reluctantly walked next to him.

"Leona, can you treat Yezrah?" Von asked and Leona immediately tried.

"This is very frustrating, I was like thinking earlier that we can have a peace after Aphrodite's death." Leana says that now she is also trying to treat Yezrah.

"Lit." Rizden called to me then reached for the water she was holding, I immediately accepted it and then drank.

"Just calm down, everything will be fine." She said while rubbing my back. I took a deep breath and calmed myself down, no matter what I did I was still nervous for my daughter.

"We can't." The twin said together. They looked at us and I could see the hardship on their faces.

"We don't know what Franco did to her." Leona said.

"It looks like he poisoned Yezrah, but we kept searching her body and we didn't see what type of poison or magic he did." Leana said and there was blood on her nose, Rizden immediately handed Leana a tissue to wipe the blood that dripped from her nose when Yezrah's body suddenly got up and choked Leana.

"Yezrah!" I was about to approach her first when Von approached her and pulled her away from Leana, but Yezrah immediately fought back causing Von to let go of her and wound him in the hand.

Yezrah's loss intensified and Von was her next rush, causing me to transform into a bat and fly near Yezrah, then return to human form and hold Yezrah by the hand.

She immediately turned to me so I used my magic power to hypnotize her. Yezrah immediately calmed down as she looked into my eyes.

It hurts me to see my daughter do this. I don't know what happened to her.

"Yezrah..." I whispered while holding her in both of her hands immediately the smell of a black vampire greeted me as I faced Yezrah.

I wrinkled my nose and smelled Yezrah again.

"Yezrah has a bite on her neck."
