Chapter 60: Chapter 60

Von POV

"Help us!" I shouted when I got to the front of the house that I was led to believe was my brothers, and I's house. I immediately took Aphrodite out of the car and loaded her into the house. Before I could enter, Lit immediately appeared in front of me.

"What happened to her?" she asked worriedly. I looked at Aphrodite, who was pale and lifeless.

"She suddenly passed out after she confessed everything to me," I answered, then looked at Lit, who was now in front of me and was looking at Aphrodite; I knew she was also worried for Aphrodite.

"Leana is not here, but Leona went out for a while," she said while helping me bring Aphrodite inside the house; we slowly laid Aphrodite on the sofa.

"She has no pulse," she said after licking Aphrodite's hand.

"The last thing Aphrodite told me was that Franco controlled her so she could do those things," I said; Lit immediately took out her cell phone and called someone.

"Leona? Can you come back to the house? Von is here, and we need your help." I heard her say to the person she was talking to on the other line; I looked at Aphrodite with blackened lips.

"Leona is coming back here," she said; I sat on the other sofa and calmed myself down.

"I believe Aphrodite that she was only able to do that because Franco controlled her," she said, so I looked at her, and she smiled at me gently. "I know her even though we don't get along very well, how she takes care of Yezrah when I'm not by her side and how she accompanies you when I'm not by your side," she said, she sat next to me and held my hand, causing my heart to beat faster.

"Everything will be fine," she said while looking into my eyes; I couldn't believe that the real Lit was before me, the real Lit I loved.

"What happened?" Lit and I both looked at the door when we heard a woman's voice, Leona. She looked at us, and I saw how a smile spread across her lips when she saw me.

"Von, you're finally back with us." She said and immediately teleported in front of me to hug me; I smiled because of what he did. I don't remember Leona and me being this close; I was happy because of her warm welcome to me.

"Leona, Aphrodite needs your help," Lit said. That's why Leona was so loose from hugging me. Then she looked at Aphrodite lying lifeless on the sofa; she slowly approached Aphrodite and held her by the head.

A few minutes passed when Leona looked at us, "There is poison in her body, a poison that caused her death." She said the reason to stop me.

"What do you mean?" Lit asked who was next to me; she turned her gaze back to Aphrodite.

"The poison on her body is the same as the poison that flowed on Van that you smelled before Von. I told Aphrodite a long time ago that I smelled poison on her body; I didn't even ask what was happening to her and why there was poison in her body; I remember our last conversation, she wanted to say something, but she couldn't continue because someone called me." her story.

"Then we can still treat her, right? Like we did with Van?" Lit asked; Leona looked at us and then shook her head in response.

"There is no medicine left, Lit." She said, "The poison flowing through her body is a strange poison that only limited medicine can get rid of that poison. A bottle of that potion has to be given to her to get rid of the poison in her body." Leona said.

"Well, let's do a new potion to save her." I said, causing Leona to look at me, "Isn't one of your powers to make potions? Why don't we just make something new." I said.

"Von, I don't know how to make potions like the medicine she needs; only old witches can make those medicines, old Witches are long gone, Von. Then one more. "She stopped, then looked at Aphrodite and stood up.

"Even if we could make a cure for the poison, it would be too late," she added. The reason for what she said made me stiffen.

"What do you mean, Leona?" I ask.

"Her heart has stopped beating, Von; her body has stiffened, and her lips have turned black; she is dead, Von," she said cause I was stoned in my position.

"No way," I said while looking at Leona. "I was talking to her earlier; we were arguing earlier," I said; after that, my tears started falling because of what Leona said; I don't know why I was crying because of what I found out. I don't know why I reacted like this because of what I found out. I am angry with her because of what she did wrong to me because she made me believe that she is Lit; I am mad at her, but why did I react like this when I found out that she was gone?

"Von.."Lit hugged me, causing my tears to fall even more.

"It's impossible; she told me she didn't want to do that thing; she didn't want to turn me around and make me believe she was Lit; she said she only did that to protect Yezrah and me..." I said while hugging Lit.

"If I only knew that her life was the exchange for protecting Yezrah and me, I wish I had taken some action to stop her," I said; little by little, all my memories came back to me, all of how I met her, how she accompanied me through all my problems, how she chose to stay by my side even though she was hurting, how she decided to attend me through all the things that should have been faced by me alone.

"Von... why did you cry so much for her?" Lit whispered while hugging me; I was stunned by what she said.

I slowly pulled away from Lit's embrace; I looked at her and saw the tears forming in her eyes.

"Do you have feelings for her, Von?" she asked weakly while looking at me; I was stunned by what she said and thought, do I really have? I do not know.

"What are you talking about, Lit?" I asked; Lit just looked at me and then smiled. She held my forehead, and after a few seconds, the tears she had been holding back came out of her eyes.

"Aphrodite is right; when she's gone, you'll fall in love with her; when it's too late, you'll start looking at her..." She said while holding my forehead; I immediately grabbed her hand holding my forehead.

"Lit, what are you talking about?" I asked while looking at her.

"Aphrodite had a vision that this would happen, Von." She said while looking at me. I was quiet and looked at Aphrodite.

If so, she knew this thing would happen.
