Chapter 53: Chapter 53

Lit POV

"Yezrah, let's eat." I called Yezrah, who was sitting by the window of her room. She turned to me for a moment and then looked back at the window.

I took a deep breath before approaching her, and I sat on her bed not far from the chair she was sitting on.

"Baby, is there a problem?" I asked. She looked at me sadly.

"Mommy, what about Uncle Daddy Von?" "Who is he really in my life?" I smiled sadly at her; Von hadn't told her the truth yet. Maybe Von wanted me to tell Yezrah the truth so that it would come from me.

I held Yezrah's hand and looked into her eyes.

"Baby, your Uncle Daddy Von is your real father." I said, She was just looking at me; I couldn't read her thoughts.

"He is your real father, baby." I said. I saw Yezrah's tears forming, and I immediately hugged her until she cried.

"Sorry, baby, if I hid the truth from you; Mommy just wanted to protect you from Uncle Franco," I said, tears forming in my eyes. I felt like the thorn buried in my chest disappeared when I said that to Yezrah.

"Mommy, is Daddy okay?" She asked, and I was stunned by her question. I also have no idea if Von is okay. I don't know if Von is doing well now.

It's been a few weeks since we got Yezrah back in Bermuda, and it's been a few weeks since Von was separated from us. We are still looking for him.

"Lit." I turned to the one who had called me, Clementine. I smiled when I saw her. Yezrah separated from me and sat on the side. Clementine stood next to me and held my hand.

Clementine and I can talk now that they woke up five days ago. It's been a few years since I last saw her at Vampire High.

"You're still beautiful," I told her, causing her to laugh.

"How are you?" we asked each other at the same time, causing us to laugh at the same time.

"I heard you're married," she asked, so I nodded as an answer. I immediately felt guilty as I remembered that I hadn't given her an invitation to Franco and my wedding.

"Sorry." I said, She just smiled at me then shook her head.

"It's fine Lit." She says. "Fin told me that Franco just forced you to get married." She also mentioned making me smile.

She looked at Yezrah. "She really looked like Leona when she was young." That made me smile when she said it.

"Fin and Leona left to look for Von. Van is still unconscious, but Cleopatra will always watch over him. " She said so and looked at me again.

"I can't imagine that Aphrodite could do that to us, even to Von," she added.

"I'm sure Franco is just controlling Aphrodite too." I said, and she looked at me.

"Yezrah told me how close she and Aphrodite were to each other, how Aphrodite stood as a mother to Yezrah when I wasn't by her side." I said. Even though I was jealous of Aphrodite, I couldn't imagine that she would actually do that to them. At least she did something good for my daughter and for Von.

"Von." Suddenly, she said, she was looking out the window as if she were thinking about something.

"Suddenly I dreamed that Von wouldn't remember us, not even Yezrah." She said so, and I looked at Yezrah, who was now playing.

"I told Fin that, so they decided to leave today to find Von."

"Clementine? "Is it time to drink your milk?" We turned around when Leana entered the room.

"Hi, Lit; hi, baby Yezrah; there's food downstairs; let's go eat." She said, and carry Yezrah.

"You?" "Let's eat; Creed is with Fin, and Fin also tells me that you must eat on time or he will be angry at me." Leana said. I laughed in my mind; Leana never really changed. She's still stupid when she talks.

"Rizden will join us to eat, so let's go because the food might be cold." She then walked out of the room, carrying Yezrah, Clementine, and I looked at each other and laughed.

"She's still a cunt." I said.

"Nothing new," Clementine said, then stood up.

Fin POV

"Let's rest first." Leona said, then looked at Dad, who was obviously tired from going around Bermuda.

"Are you sure that the people who took Von might be hiding here?" asked Dad. I nodded in response.

"Franco is here often, so we can be sure he's around." I said.

"We've looked all around, but we haven't found any trace of that Franco." Dad said.

"My people can't trace Aphrodite; they can't smell Aphrodite in this place." We looked at the speaker. Freddrick was Cleopatra's arrogant older brother. I really can't figure out why Dad decided to bring this man along when looking for Von; this man is just full of arrogance. His whole personality is surrounded by arrogance.

Phew!

"I can hear what you're thinking short, stop slandering me in your mind." It suddenly said to me

"Oh really--"

"Fin, now is not the time for that. It's better that we rest before looking for Von again," Leona, who was sitting near me, said. I just tormented Freddrick and then sat next to Leona.

I looked around; there was nothing to eat here.

I heard that Leona and Freddrick were talking while Dad was on the phone.

"Fin!" I turned to the man who shouted my name, Creed.

"What's your problem?" "Where are you from?" I said, He shook his head, and out of breath, he pointed in the direction where he came from.

"I saw Von there." He said that's why I stood up.

"What?" "Why didn't you come here with him?" I asked; like me, Leona and Freddrick also stood up, and Dad was waiting for Creed's answer.

Creed shook his head.

"When I approached him, there was something strange about him. When I tried to pull him over here, he suddenly punched me and asked who I was." He said that made me frown.

"Huh?" "He didn't recognize you because you're so ugly; let's go," I said, about to walk away when Creed stopped me.

"Listen first!" he said irritably, so I glared at him.

"He's with Aphrodite and Franco."What I'm wondering is why Von calls Aphrodite Lit. " He said that's why I frowned even more.

"What did you say?"

"There's something wrong with him; when I was about to punch Franco, he suddenly stopped and asked me what my problem was." He said that's why I looked at Leona.

"That must have been the effect when he drank the medicine that Franco gave him." I said.

"Leona, maybe you can do something to get Von back to what he used to be?" Dad asked Leona. Leona just stared at Creed.

"I'll see." Leona hesitantly said to Dad.
