Maneuvering the car wasn't easy as Dante geared towards the destination noticing a few cars trailing behind with high acceleration until they were out of sight.

The revving of the car wheels echoed in the garage as he hurried to get Kate from the back seat to the guy's house.

" Man, we're leaving today. There are.." the words died in his tongue the moment he saw the anonymous man's corpse with a hole on his chest which seemed to contain a heart. Kate puked as she couldn't hold the disgust in anymore.

Dante felt helpless and confused then he called David seeking his help. David asked for their location promising to come to their aid should they escape the armed men.

Dante had a reason to continue ' Kate, we've to go. Here" he searched for some water to wash her face.

' he killed him, Dante, he's going to kill us. Dante, please run. I'm the one he's after. Just go pleased" he shook his head but she continued pushing him off which proved abortive cos he wouldn't bulge.

" No. I'm not leaving you behind. There's help on the way. Trust me we'll be fine" he persuaded with a hand on his chest only then did Kate follow him out of the house.

He screeched the car then drove off with anticipation...

Kate rubbed her bump feeling some pain. She didn't know Alvin could find her so quickly. She doubts his identity more than ever. Her thoughts were cut off with an abrupt stop. It seemed Dante stopped the car. She sneered then looked at him to find cars surrounding them.

His hands on the steering wheel tightened ready to pass them over. He moved before Kate could protest.

He drove skilfully out of the hound with the back of the car leaving them stunned which wasn't his problem at the moment.

" Dante slow down or you're going to get us killed" she warned holding her bump still trying to withstand the pain.

" I know what I'm doing. Pray, we get out of this. " He answered turning to another lane then stopped to catch his breath failing to see a moving vehicle with high speed.

Kate's eyes widened going into shock per the adrenaline rush. She fainted before the car hit them yelling Dante's name.

He reacted quickly maneuvering the car saving Kate from taking the hit should he fail to escape the threat. The next thing that happened was a collision between the two vehicles. The moving car had tinted windows clouding vision or recognition then drove off.

Wounded, Dante tried reaching for Kate but it wasn't possible as blood flowed to his face from his head thus he collapsed on the seat which was smoking hot.

Two gurneys were rolled into the operation room with nurses and doctors beside them. Alvin's face darkened on seeing Kate in a pool of blood Oblivious to the fact that she didn't sustain much injury, unlike Dante who was in a critical condition.

He paced to and fro eagerly awaiting the cry of his baby. Colt arrived surprised as well. Alvin attacked him with a gun firing it at him. Thanks to his reflexes he escaped it but the other hit him on his right shoulder as the patients and health personnel in the room screamed in horror thus Colton was taken to an operating room for surgery.

Kate's cesarean section was successful as the supporting surgeon handed baby Simon to Alvin.

Twitching and licking his mouth little Simon gave an airing cry startling Alvin. The surgeon just laughed intending to take him but Alvin stopped him giving him an order.

Dante was pronounced dead a few minutes later.

Alvin wasn't going to let his son go hungry so he waited for the surgeon to pump breast milk from Kate then sat down to feed him scared he'll crush him with a little mistake.

Grabbing the opportunity, he processed his facial appearance which looked like him though he had Kate's black hair.

" It's just you and me now " he whispers bringing him to the pediatric ward to commence treatment.

The surgery was rounded up with Kate pushed out of the operation room still unconscious.
