Naomi was walking to her car when Dante approached her.

" Can we talk?

" Of course, what is it, Sir?

Dante has been trying to reach Kate but to no avail. He had tried sneaking into the mansion once but he couldn't get in due to the tight security. Then he chose the next option, Naomi.

" Can I talk to Kate? Please. I won't say much " Naomi stepped forward taking a measured breath.

" Alright. I guess I can do that" she picked up her phone and dialed Kate's number. She picked after a few rings.

" Hello Naomi, sorry I couldn't help I tr...." She paused ' hello Kate, why aren't you picking my calls? What happened? I'm worried sick about you came the voice of Dante.

" Dante, I don't want to hurt you more. I don't want a divorce anymore. Alvin found out about it. I'm here because he found out I am pregnant. I'm sorry for bringing you trouble. I'll keep trying till he releases your firm and foundation" she said in guilt

" Are you serious? He's like that because of the baby. Kate, don't be naive. He hasn't changed. Alvin is no good. Please listen" he pleaded.

" I'm sorry Dante. I truly am. I have forgiven him. I love my husband and I believe he has changed. Do forgive me' with that said, she ended the call whimpering. To be honest, she doesn't trust the Future. She lived in the present.

Dante kept saying hello, redialing her number but it went straight to voicemail.

' she can't do this to me. Naomi, you've got to help me. Please"

" Kate is a married woman with a child. You've got to think of that. You're going to soil her reputation. If she says she's happy with Alvin then she is" Naomi advised opening her car.

" She's not happy with him. She's putting up with him because she's stuck. Alvin is deceiving her because she's pregnant. He'll return to his former self once she gives birth. He might have threatened her " he lamented feeling responsible for her.

" Alvin loves Kate. Maybe he feels insecure to love a woman. Let it go" with that said she entered her car and drove off grinning which turned to laughter.

Alvin retired to his room after the second meeting tired and worn out. He reached for his phone and saw Kate's call. He sighed then returned her call. She picked it immediately it connected.

" Where have you been? She asked worriedly

" Calm down. We closed late. How are you and the baby? Tell me you slept last night"

" Yes, I think. I miss you. You're coming home tomorrow right? She asked as he hummed

" Have you had dinner? Don't starve yourself, please. Please try and sleep it's necessary" he lectured as she agreed to ask about his business and all.

" You're not with anyone right? She whispered

'have I ever slept with another since the day I deflowered you? He wanted to say but changed his mind. " Don't you trust me? I've always been faithful to you maybe not all the time but I'm faithful to you" he tells her as she recalled his numerous flings in front of her.

" Let's forget about that. I'm so lonely. What do you think I should do? I miss you" she tells him staring at his photo on the wall.

" Sure. You can concentrate on your work. I'll be back tomorrow okay? Just wait a day more ''he coaxed as Colton entered with a gloomy face holding the parcel he ordered him to dispose of.

" I'll call you back" he ended the call in anger giving Colton a reverberated kick on his stomach.

" Are you tired of working for me? I gave you an order. I don't care what's inside. Dispose of it" he snapped about to punch him when he spoke ' Kate slept with the lawyer. It has the proof' Alvin's hold on his collar tightened

' take a look for yourself. She hasn't changed. She's still the same conniving bitch that schemed her way into your life to get her mother a donor by making you fall in love with her. She hadn't changed and she did it again making you fall for her all over again intending to leave you heartbroken after she made away with the lawyer. Are you sure the pregnancy is yours? Could be the reason she was trying to annul your marriage. Think about it. She's using you Alvin' he finished handing him the parcel while Alvin pushed him away releasing his tie which seemed to be suffocating at the moment.

He unconsciously stepped back pouring himself some scotch then sat down with a deadpan expression holding the glass cup tight.

" Good night boss" Colton bowed and left feeling his pain.

Alvin stood up pacing, thinking of the little memories they have made. He couldn't believe she cheated on him. Did she sleep with someone else? Why? He massaged his temples already having a headache. he was certain the baby was his. There's no way it wouldn't be.

Kate cheated! Was the only thing on his mind. He turned the luxurious suite in turmoil in a feat of anger.

Then her innocent smile was envisaged in his head. She dares lie to him again. He had a thousand ways to punish her and Dante none she would see coming.

He looked at the parcel wondering who sent it. He would be a fool if he didn't notice their intention and he would be glad to disappoint them again till his son was born. Yes, he was going to give her time to come to clean not that it will change anything. She was going to pay for cheating on him.
