Dante's appearance in her life was life-threatening for Kate. A taxi stopped by the residential area, as usual, she alighted to trek home but was surprised to see Colt stop by.

" Get in. I'm going to pick you from work henceforth" he informed her as she sighed turning the doorknob.

" I see. Alvin didn't tell me about it"

" Didn't I just say so? He said irritated stepping on the brake pads to maneuver

" Why do you hate me so much?

" Because you're a golddigger. " He states honking for the gatekeeper to open the gates.

Having heard his straightforward answer, she gave it a rest. Sometimes she thinks Colton is worst than Alvin. She understood why they refer to her as a golddigger. Colt does all the dirty works not that she told him about her mother's predicament.

Bianca sneered, Alvin was treating her like some gold that Colton has to pick her from work. Kate alighted acknowledging her with a bow but she dragged her back.

" What did you tell my son? I've tolerated you enough. What did you do? She snapped at her

' Mom, I don't know what you're talking about. Your son has no regard for me. He doesn't listen. I didn't have a proper conversation with him last night, not after the way he treated me. " She stated almost having a mental breakdown

" You're a liar. Call him back or you're not stepping your foot in my son's house " she threatened which didn't faze Kate.

She realized he went on a trip. He was with her all through the night yet he didn't inform her. There was no reconciliation between them.

" Miss Kang, I...." She didn't finish when she raised her hands to hit her but she was fast holding her hands' mid-air

" If you want me gone till he returns fine by me. Don't ever raise your hands on me. My mother doesn't hit me. If you want your son back go fetch him " she slammed hanging her bags properly then turned around to leave which Bianca didn't object to.

" You better run bitch. Whore. Don't step your foot in here till you bring him back. Slut" she cussed which didn't satisfy her. She continued with the insults till Kate was out of sight.

Colton just sighed taking long strides to enter the house.

" And you, where's your boss? Colt bowed to her and left. If he didn't know better, he would've chased her out of the house. He thought he hated Kate's stubbornness but Bianca's cruelty was more distasteful to him.

" Why didn't he inform his mother? Are you deaf? She taunts him but he didn't stop.

Kate walked all the way to the main road boarding a taxi to Naomi's house.

Meanwhile, Naomi has been thinking of the possibility of Dante's crush. Then her phone rang.

" Hello" she answered the baritone voice on the phone listening to his orders then smiled.

She sat beside her desktop computer typing some info when her bell rang.

" Come in " she voiced immersed in her work. Kate entered the house slumping on the couch for a good night's rest.

" Naomi, are you home? I'm starving! " She tells her as Naomi stood up to see for herself.

" Kate!!! She called but she's was asleep already with her legs on the floor and her head resting on the armrest.

Naomi shook her head, tucking her in properly ransacking her bag, and found her inhaler. She twirled it in her hands and kept it back.

Pacing to and fro, she thought of what to do when Kate's phone rang. Hurriedly, she picked it and Dante's voice was heard.

She copied the number guessing her easy password, taking Alvin's number as well. She couldn't help but look at her wedding photos then twirled the million-dollar phone in her hands in envy.

Kate was practically living her kind of life. She just couldn't believe, someone she saved from debts, gave a roof over her head was more comfortable, more profound than herself. Sometimes, she thinks things would have been different had she not been in the picture.

But after seeing the way Alvin treats her, she knew it was going to be easy to break her hope. Plus she cheated on Alvin which is the first step but she didn't want to ruin their friendship by telling on her. She'd know it was her at once. She just wanted to ruin her marriage and still keep their friendship, after all, she introduced her to David.

To her, Kate wouldn't have married Alvin without her help.

Kate stirred on the couch muttering something then slept off giving Naomi a perfect view of her collarbone which was visible with hickeys.

After thinking for some time, she came to a conclusion. Dante Lorenzo was going to be her saving grace.

On the other hand, Bianca entered Kate's room to find her contraceptive pills, her Future was doomed with Alvin. She just wanted a cute baby from Kate. So she turned the whole room down searching for pills but couldn't find anything.

She didn't give up as she proceeded to scan the room and found the bottle of pills, she flushed it down the drain replacing it with hormone vitamins then she noticed the pills were different. She sneered taking the bottle away till she returns.

The ringing tone of her phone woke her up as she tossed to get it.

" Yes? She said barely awake

" Are you home? Meet me at the charity gala in three hours. Don't keep me waiting" she panicked sitting up instantly

" Alright. Send me the address. I'll be there " she tells him fiddling with her clothes

" Dress beautifully" he ordered ending the call. Kate slowly dropped the phone checking the money in her purse.

" Good morning sleeping beauty, you look like shit. What happened to you " Naomi asked putting a plate of pancakes and syrup on the table pouring her a glass of milk.

" Alvin invited me to a party and I don't have a dress plus I can't enter the house. His mother forbids it. The party is in three hours. What am I going to do? " She asked worriedly as Naomi thought of a solution

" How about I be your plus one. We can order for some clothes together? Naomi suggested excitedly about the opportunity. Kate noticed how happy she was and agreed.

They went shopping in a space of one hour and were ready to go to the party.
