Kate remained indoors for another two weeks stranded in his room. At some point, she refused to eat. Nothing passes through as she kept dreaming of her sick mother.

Alvin employed another maid named Miranda to tend to her.

Naomi decided to pay her a visit at Alvin's.

" Miss Naomi, what a pleasant surprise. Kate isn't at home. " Said, Miranda

Obviously she didn't believe her as Kate's number was going through and their boss was threatening to fire her the next day if she doesn't show up.

" Good, then I'll wait for her. It's urgent " she stated taking a seat with her legs crossed rendering Miranda speechless

" You can leave a message, Naomi," said Lisa sadly confirming her suspicion

" It's regarding her work. She's about to lose her job. Please let me see her I know she's inside " pleaded Naomi as Lisa sighed

" Follow me. You mustn't say a word to anyone. " She warns as Naomi nods trailing behind.

She couldn't help but gawk at the luxurious house and beautiful paintings of Alvin and Kate on the wall. They looked like a happy couple. If only that was true.

The artwork gave a feeling of warmth in the living room. Suffering or not Kate was living in luxury.

They stopped in front of a spacious door then Lisa turned the doorknob switching the lights on revealing a high-pitched bedroom. Naomi's jaw dropped looking at her beautiful room. Her eyes were on a certain photo of Alvin shirtless. He looked like a dish.

Lisa cleared her throat leading her further as Naomi nods in embarrassment. Alvin was too hot perhaps Kate couldn't handle him she thought walking through the dark-shaded room.

They met Kate on top of a table trying to open his safe again. She was immersed in it wondering if she forgot the password.

" Kate? Naomi called out as Kate looked their way. Her hair had gotten longer reaching her jaw. She climbed down and hugged Naomi tightly as Lisa regarded her with a smile.

" Why are you locked up? Is this how he treats you? Just look at you. " She whined as Kate felt ashamed smiling instead

" It's nothing serious. Thanks for coming. I'm jobless right? She asked having accepted her fate

" Not yet but you will by tomorrow. Did I tell you that the new CEO is around? It's a she and you should see his hot brother. Dante Lorenzo. He's a masterpiece just like Alvin. Though Alvin is hotter" she smiled then frowns

" Sorry about that. Is there anything I can do? I want to help" she tells her as Kate smiled

" Can I use your phone? I need to talk to Louis. I'm worried sick about them " she announced as Naomi nods handing her the phone looking around her surrounding. Her gaze wouldn't leave his piercing brown eyes, chiseled jaw, plump lips, and beautifully toned skin and v line which disappeared beneath his short. He was like a demigod.

Kate called her brother, who picked after a few rings.

" Louis, how is Mom? What happened? She asked nervously

" It's been a month Kate. Has money changed you? Money isn't everything. You still have to perform your duty as her daughter. Mom needs another donor. Alvin is aware. He called me recently. Her sugar level is low. She keeps asking for you. I'm afraid she won't make it this time. Please come home, we miss you " he tells her solemnly as she sobs too.

" She won't die. I'm coming home okay? I didn't forget about you guys. You're my family Louis. I'll always be there. Kiss Mom for me would you? She stated ending the call.

" How is she? Lisa asked pulling her into a hug

" Bad. I need to go home. Please help me, Lisa. Naomi, I need your help. Get David. Alvin will listen to him. Lisa, what about the parcel I told you to send to Naomi? Lisa lowered her head disengaging from the hug and shook her head

" How? " She looked at the safe box realizing he changed the password. Then she began to look around realizing he might have planted a camera in the room. The thought shocked her as she sat on the bed blinking.' no asthmatic attack' she smiled coyly. He just made her whole life easier.

" He ransacked my room for the copies. I'm sorry I failed you" Lisa admits

" It's okay. " She smiled looking at an absentminded Naomi still enthralled with Alvin's portrait. She knew she had a thing for hot guys.

" I'll go to David as soon as possible. You need to eat. You look weak. I never knew Alvin was a monster. Never judge a book by its cover" saying that she stood to her feet giving her a warm hug then left.

Meanwhile, Kate looked around for the hidden cameras picking a rod ready to smash them to pieces. She smiled looking at the first one she saw then smashed it. She moved to another part of the room searching.

Alvin finished his meeting deciding to see what she was up to and saw her smiling at the camera then off it went. His face darkened. She searched for another but couldn't find any then proceeded to smash his safe box.

After many attempts, the box opened empty. She groaned cussing at him. Alvin was in fury watching as she vent her anger in smashing his belongings: portraits, mirrors, shelves, tables, wardrobes muttering bastard which had him rechecking the video realizing she made a call to her brother.

Bitch ' he hissed calling his guards to stop her from going berserk in his room.

Days passed after the smashing incident, she waited for Naomi's call but nothing. To her surprise, he overlooked her act and replaced the broken things.

Until the day Bianca Kang dropped by asking after her.

" Lisa, send for Kate. We're running out of time" she obeyed relaying her message.

" Alvin's Mom? Kate asked for the fifth time smiling. Here comes her fateful day. She proceed to change into denim jeans and a peplum top then wore trainers looking at her appearance for the first time.

" My hair is longer " she sneered picking scissors to trim it

" She's an impatient person like your husband. " Lisa reminded dissuading her from going further. She nods carrying a bag then Alvin's credit card.

She pulled Bianca into a warm hug giving her kisses.

" Let's go," she said disdainfully but she didn't mind.

The guards didn't dare to stop them granting them access to pass. Her grin wiped off her face immediately she saw the writing" hospital? She inquired as Bianca alighted

" Yes. For a fertility test. My son won't spend his life with a barren woman. Now move" she pushed her into the hospital.

Kate decided to play along. The doctor did the fertility test and found out she was fine medically. Bianca asked for something to boost her hormone levels. Kate looked at her with disgust.

Bianca went on and on and on explaining how she was going to use it on Alvin to get pregnant.

" Mom, can I use the bathroom? She asked as Bianca waved her off.

She walked to the restroom area at first but diverted running out of the hospital after hailing a taxi. She was going to be free. She looked at the red diamond ring on her finger recalling it was worth millions of dollars. Yes! She was going to sell it for a cheap price to hurt his ego.

She doubt if she can run away from him but it was a risk she was ready to take as long as she sees her sick mother.

" To the airport," she tells him after selling the ring for three hundred thousand dollars. The jewelry store attendant was too brazen.it looked like he was scared of buying it but she insisted on selling it cheap. In the end, he couldn't resist.

" Ma'am we're here " the Uber driver announced as she alights to see Colt dressed in a white suit with a grin plastered this face while he leaned on his Maserati. She looked around discovering the airport was filled with Alvin's boys.
