Ivan POV

I don't know what is wrong with this lucy girl, she keeps on bumping into me. She has the nerve to called me dumb ass...just imagine .

The worst part is, I don't know why I have been an ass to her. Maybe its because she reminds me of Linda my ex. The day I started having those dreams, I thought it was linda coz of the resemblance she has with the dream girl. But when I bumped into Lucy the first time at Collins restaurant ,there and then, I knew that the dream girl was actually her. The way her eyes blinks, the way she talks, it just so similar. I don't know what all this means, maybe the best idea is to ask Lucy if she also sees me in her dreams.

But that will sound stupid? I thought

Or maybe I should try to know more about her, maybe I should be friends with her. I just pray she wouldn't give me a hard time

" son? Are you alright " moms voice shakes me out of my thoughts

I forced a smile on my face " yes "

" you seem off. "

" I'm fine Mom, I was only trying to remember where I kept my laptop " I lied

" are you sure?" she look at me quizzically

" of course mom. So how far have you gone with the party preparations at the company " I changed the topic

Mom's eyes brighten up at these" we've really gone a long way. It's going to be superb, just imagine the kind of people coming. This really is a great achievement for your dad "

" that's why he is your husband .when he has someone like you by his side, why wouldn't he be a successful business man" I teased

She laughed " you're not serious "

At school

" hey James can I have a word with you? "

James was sat inbetween some girls, he look a me and nodded

" sure" he said as he excused himself from the ladies

" what is it? "

" erm you see, there is this thing I wanted asking you about Lucy"

" you mean your partner Lucy in biology class? "he asked surprised

" yes, this might sound stupid but I have no other way"

" ask already " he said

" Does she have a boyfriend? "

He wiggle his brows " don't tell me it's what I'm thinking , are

you planning on asking her out "

"NO ..... God no... I'm just asking "

" why are you scared to say the truth, I promise I won judge you if you like her"

" no I don't. Just answer the question already "

" OK fine, she doesn't have any boyfriend yet. Thomas was her ex-boyfriend .

Thomas?

" you mean Thomas your friend? " I was surprised at this new info

" yes, the same Thomas "

" Lucy was the girl he cheated on with Natalia? " I whispered yelled

" yes. Are you surprised? " he said

" of course, I'm surprised. I mean, why would he do that to her." I was getting angry already

" chill man, at least you have a chance of asking her out now" he pointed out

" who said I was going to ask her out"

" no one need to say it coz your reaction says it all that you like her"

" forget it man. I was only shock that he cheated on her with someone like Natalia " I shrug

" suit yourself then. So, why where you asking if she has a boyfriend or not "

I put my hands in my trousers pockets"The thing is...* sigh* there is this thing that has been happening to me, I know it might sound weird to you but I swear it's true"

" what's that" he ask

" for over four months I have been having dreams of this particular girl who I have never seen" I started

" so what does that has to do with Lucy? " a confused James asked

" OK I think I should say it in a more better way. Lucy is the girl I have been dreaming about "

" so?" he asked not understanding

" the point is I have never seen Lucy in my whole life not until I started this school just two weeks now " I said

He put two and two together " No, so you mean you've seen Lucy in your dreams before you even start this school? How is that possible "

" I have no idea too. I don't know whether I'm going crazy "

" what if, she is also having dreams about you?"

" I've thought of that too, but I don't really know"

He held my shoulders " wait, what was her reaction the first time you two met "

I look at him questioning, "what does that have to do with the issue on ground "

" trust me , try to remember her reaction " he said encouragingly

The first time we met was at Collins restaurant, she looked kind of shocked of seeing me,i think and then it changed to something like surprise.

Could it be that she also had seen me in her dreams before then?

I look at james" I think she have seen me in her dreams too coz I vividly remembered how shocked she was at seeing me the first time we met"

" good, we have a lot to do" he smiled a mischievous one at that.

" what do you mean? "

" This upcoming party you said your dad is having at his company " he reminded while I nodded

" I think you should know that Lucy is also going to that party" he said with a smile

" how is that possible? "

" I eavesdrop on her conversation with Abby. They were talking about a Davidson and son company, there and then, I knew they where talking about your dad's company. I think her mom works for your dad. " he explained

" really? " I asked surprised

" I'm serious. You have to use this opportunity to get close to her at the party"

" how will I do that? "

" don't worry I will tell you all the drill. Firstly........

"Honey you are back"my mum came forward to hug me.

" yeah"

"Why are you moody? Is it your teacher or something else" she asked as she sat close to me.

If only she knew that it a girl in my school named Lucy. Instead of telling her I said "I'm just tired" that is also part of the truth.

"Okay,maybe you should take a nap" she suggested.

"Yeah I think that is what I need" I made my way to my room but before I reached the stairs, that reminds me, I haven't seen Emilia in school ,so I asked my mom.

"Where is Emilia ?"

"Oh yeah ,she went to her friends place .Do you know this friend of hers. She had been going to her place and I don't know who she is" she said

"Don't worry mum, when she comes back I'll ask her myself"

"Alright then" mum said.

I went to my room to take a nap.

Mum woke me up for dinner. Dad is joining us today. Recently, he usually eat his dinner at the office coz of overload work at the office . I guess he had free time today.

I went downstairs to get dinner , every one was already seated and that remains me. I sat close to Emilia . I greeted dad

"Son ,how you doing" my dad asked.

"I'm fine dad. Why are you home early for dinner"

"I'm done with the second project,It was a success son . I want us to celebrate" he looked happy .

The project was very important to the company. That was why he had been so busy lately. Now that its a success ,I'm so proud of him.

"Congrats dad"

"Thanks son" .

we all congratulat him.After dinner we made a family toast for success. I love my family so much. We all made our way to our room to sleep but before that I remember I had to talk to Emi about the new friend she has been spending time with.

I knock on her door before entering.She was making a phone call when I entered. She hanged up and look at me.

"Ivan, why are you here?"she asked, forcing a smile on her face.

I wonder why she is forcing the smile except if she is hiding something from me.

" Can't I check on my little sis anymore or what" I tease

"No it not that. It just ,I thought we have spoken downstairs and just curious you know" she said rubbing the back of her neck. Now ,she is acting suspicious. What's she hiding?Sooner or later I'll find out.

I sat down on her comfy bed.She also came to sit beside me.

"I came here to ask about this new friend you have been spending time with. When are you going to invite her"

Emilia became uneasy she stood up and rub her neck again. What are you hiding emi , I asked myself.

"Soon" that was her only answer .

After the talk with Emilia, I walk out of the room.
