Olivia turned off her laptop as soon as her alarm clock went off. It was six o'clock, the time she got off work everyday. She worked at Gallagher and Gallagher an Investment firm as the Content Marketing Manager. A position in G and G that came into existence only after her father had sent in her CV, sometimes she felt that was the reason her junior colleagues were hostile to her. Unlike them, she hadn't worked at all to get to where she was and they hated her for it. And the truth was the company could have done without her because the sales team were pretty much already doing the job before she arrived, the only difference was she did a better job and she was damned good at what she did.

Her coworkers never saw it that way, they sneered and rolled their eyes whenever her superiors praised her for a job well done, she was just another spoilt rich kid getting accolades for doing basic things. Some even referred to her as a glorified content creator.

Olivia ignored their comments and behavior towards her because she'd grown accustomed to such behaviors.

She'd been getting all sorts of backlash all her life. When she'd gotten admission into an elite private university, people had said her father had bribed a lot of people so she could get in. The actual truth was she'd studied hard and had merited the admission when it came.

It was only Skye who never judged her, Skye, who was now dating her elder brother and was going to be her sister in law soon.

Unfortunately Skye was not here, she was in another continent with the love of life and she was living her best life. She on the other hand was dealing with a lot and there was no one she could talk to.

Her phone started beeping with different notifications as she cleared up her desk to go home for the weekend. She picked up the phone and saw that a lot of the messages were coming from her Instagram.

She frowned as she clicked the app icon to see why she was getting so much attention. Olivia was social media famous as she was not only from an affluent family but she was also dating Lagos most wanted man, Tekena.

Tekena was so handsome, so handsome that girls swore their panties dropped every time they saw him on social media. She hated the attention she got every time they were together, people were constantly staring at them like she didn't deserve him or he was too good for her. His fans even went as far as trolling her every time she posted a picture on social media. She tried to ignore them but there were times when she cried herself to sleep and wished she could just end it all.

'Such a thot, I've always known that beneath her good girl exterior, there was a bad girl hiding' she read a comment under the office selfie she'd posted in the morning.

She rolled her eyes as she was sure it was just Tekena fan girls wilding again. There were more nasty comments and tags, she clicked on one of the tags and saw that she was tagged to a lewd picture of herself that she'd hoped to stay hidden forever. Her dirty mistake had gone viral and was on the internet.

A well know blog had posted a picture of her where she was nude and laid spread eagle on the a bed. The low quality image was grainy and dated back to three years ago right before she graduated from the university. It was a memory she'd tried so hard to shut away but she'd failed because the memory was now a picture slapped on the internet.

Tears ran down her eyes as she read the caption that accompanied the post.

Who had done this to her? Who hated her this much, just who?

She turned off her phone and buried her face in her palm and sobbed till her head and eyes hurt. If only she could go back to that night and make better decisions but she'd not known better and now her past was a dirty slap on her face. She was ruined.

She picked up her bag and her phone and with shaky legs she'd walked out of her office. She could feel several eyes on her and knew that once again they were judging her. They'd seen those lewd posts and they didn't even care about her own side of the story, she was a villain and she deserved what she was getting.

"Lagos girls nawa o" Someone commented as she walked past. She straightened her shoulder as she walked past them refusing to let them see her weakness.

Her mother would disown her if she heard that a few nasty comments on the internet had made her shed tears. "Do you know what has been said about me over the years? I own it with my full chest and when they are done talking trash, I put them out of business" Gogo Falade would boast every time Olivia came crying about  what trolls were saying about her.

She wasn't her mother, she wasn't that strong, she was weak and these things got to her. Maybe it was time to change.
