Chapter 57: Chapter 57

Zach’s men had taken Greg’s men down already. As they moved through the dark corridors, they heard a faint whimpering coming from one of the rooms.

They followed the sound and found Madison, tied to a chair with a ticking bomb beside her.

"Zach!" she cried out, tears streaming down her face. "Thank God you're here."

Zach quickly examined the bomb, trying to come up with a plan to disarm it. Meanwhile, Liam was untying Madison from the chair, reassuring her that everything was going to be alright.

“Baby, I will never let go of you again.” He said to her as he kissed her forehead

Suddenly, they heard footsteps coming towards them, and they quickly took cover behind some crates. Greg and his men had arrived.

Greg approached them, a sinister grin on his face. "Well, well, well, if it isn't Zach and his band of brothers. I've been waiting for this moment for a long time."

Zach stood up, aiming his gun at Greg. "Let Madison go, Greg. This has nothing to do with her."

"Oh, but it does," Greg replied, taking out his own gun. "She's your weakness, Zach. And weakness is something I can't stand to see in my enemies."

Greg sneered at him from across the room, gun in hand. "Thought you could save her, did you? You're too late, Zach. This bomb is going to blow, and there's nothing you can do to stop it."

"I won't let you hurt her, Greg. I'll do whatever it takes to save her. You can’t touch what's mine"

With that, the two mafia rivals charged towards each other with reckless abandon. It was a brutal fight, each one landing devastating blows on the other. But no matter how hard he tried; Zach couldn't get the upper hand.

The room was filled with gun fires and brutal fights, all Madison could do was to cry and shake on her seat

Just as he was about to deliver the final blow, Greg pulled out a gun and fired a shot straight at Zach's heart. Zach staggered back, blood pouring from his wound, and Madison let out a scream before passing out from the shock.

Greg and his men made a hasty escape, leaving Zach to bleed out on the floor. But Liam, one of Zach's most loyal men, refused to let his boss die. He rushed to Madison's side and began frantically examining the bomb.

After what felt like an eternity, Liam managed to disengage the bomb and save Madison from certain death. He carried her on his shoulders since she is unconscious and walked away to find a spot for her but the bomb was still counting.

Adrian had also been tasked with taking out Greg's brother Kevin, and he had approached the situation with a ruthlessness that left no room for error.

“You, it’s you and I again.” Kevin laughed and before saying another word, Adrian pulled the triggers at both of his knees before pulling another at his forehead.

In the end, it was Zane, Zach's younger brother, who delivered the killing blow to Greg. With a ferocity that belied his young age, Zane charged into the fray and took down Greg with a single bullet to the head.

“I could have made you die a painful death but I wouldn’t want to waste my time.” He said.

The room fell silent as everyone stared at Zane in disbelief. "I had to do it," he said simply, before collapsing to the ground from exhaustion. It was then that Adrian revealed the news of Kevin's death, and the whole room erupted in a mix of emotions - relief, anger, and sadness all rolled into one.

“We have to leave before the bomb explodes.” Liam warns and Zane and Adrian walks to Zach motionless body as they hurriedly carried him out of the hall while Liam carried Madison into the car.

“We have less than 3 minutes to leave this place, everyone in your car now!!!!” Liam ordered and they did as they were told. All men in the car and speedily drove out of the mansion, in less than 3 minutes when they were already far from the mansion.

They all heard the loud explosion.
