Few days later,

Madison POV

It’s been days and Zach is still in the hospital receiving treatments. I’ve heard nothing from Kingsley and I haven’t told Krystal my suspicion yet.

Well for how Zach’s injuries are severe, He is doing insanely well for his recovery. I’ve been coming to check on him from time to time, at times in the night, I’d sleep next to him.

It is another day, Another morning. I just left the hospital to head home since I spent my whole night next to Zach.

I am going home to freshen up, eat well and change my dress. Since I’ve been staying late in the hospital, I haven’t been eating well. I’ve been eating junks the most and cups of coffee.

I’ll go home to cook something better and eat then come with some for Zach, I am sure he would love to eat them.

“Don’t stay too long okay?” Zach said, he has a smile on his face as he held my hands.

“I won’t, baby.” I clicked my tongue and pulled my hands away.

“My neck hurts badly, I might stay longer because I’d sleep” I joked and made my way to the door.

“WHAT?” he exclaimed as I laugh out

“Oh, please Madison don’t . You want me to die? You promised not to leave me didn’t you?” He asks with a carved brow and a sly smile.

I paused and turned to him, “Oh really?... Promises are meant to be broken baby.” I chuckled and flung my hair back.

“You wouldn’t dare” he said from behind and I laughed

“I was just kidding, I won’t take my time Okay?” I replied as I walk out of the hospital and saw Dr. Melvin talking to a staff.

I’ll avoid him like I have been doing. He has been seeing me with Zach lately, even after I told him there is nothing between us. He would see it as I lied to him.

“damn.. Madison” I murmured and catwalks out of the hospital to my car.

Kingsley POV

Few days gone and I have heard nothing yet about Zach and nothing from Madison. I know she is still mad at me and that’s why she hasn’t called. I don’t want to call her too until I am sure she isn’t anymore.

I stood before the mirror in my room as I carefully examine my wounded arm.

A knock was heard on the door from behind, “It is open, come in.” I spoke out and heard the door open. Footsteps was heard from behind, “Kingsley…” Kevin called from behind and I mutter “Yes?”

“Are you going to keep giving me silent treatment?” he asked worriedly.

Yes, after our fight against Zach and his men, I ignored Kevin. What he did in the party is not my thing and I am still surprised by his sudden change of sexuality.

“What is it?” I asked and lift my shirt up so I can see my wound more properly and treat it.

“I don’t know what I did wrong, but I am sorry” he said as he walked up to me and stood beside me.

“Just forget it, you did nothing” I mumbled and unwrap the bandage around my left arm.

“Does it still hurt? I can't believe Liam could still do something even with the way he looked beaten” he said and I sighed.

“He already shot me, I just have to wait till I heal. How’s your arm too?” I asked him

“Pretty good, you were giving me cold shoulders because I kissed you huh?” he asked and I sigh.

“Kevin, it was just, I don’t know how to say it” I replied

“But you liked it” he said with a smirk.

I don't want to think of the experience, Kevin eyes were fixed on me. He's expecting a reply from me and I rolled my eyes. “That was my first, first I’ll ever get from the same gender” I scoffed and turn back to the mirror

“Yeah, I know. I won’t do it again without your permission” he whispered in my ears. I felt goosebumps all over my body as I heaved in a sigh. “Oh goodness, Kevin!” I chuckled and he did same too.

“So have you heard from Zach or any of his men?”

“Yeah, I sent some of my men in disguise to watch. He has been in the hospital for days now. You know you badly dealt with him, his men are fine now except Zach, still on bed.” He replied and I smiled

“Not bad, Greg asked me if I want to Leave the team yesterday” I replied and his eyes widens

“What was your reply? No right?” he exclaimed

“Yo, chill…I said no of course and renewed my contract with him. He paid me also yesterday” I smiled

“Yooo, your thousands or millions?” he smirked

“Thousands of dollars. He was so happy I shot Zach and he said he believes I can do better, I know I can too so I renewed my contract, my next reward would be so good” I replied

I can tell it would be very good.

“It sure will” Kevin replied as he took my arm to help me with the bandage.

“Heard from the doctor yet?” I ask allowing him to handle my arm.

“Yeah, she never left his side. She would definitely make Zach weak I can tell”

“Was she the one that handled his surgery?”

“Well, I don’t know but what I heard is she is a very good doctor in that hospital. A very talented one so I think she did. Her name is all over the hospital, more like she’s a celebrity doctor” he chuckled

“Oh…” all this pushes my thoughts to one person- Madison.

“Dr. Madison by now must have gotten an award not just from the hospital she works for but also from the governments. She Operated on the prime minister we attacked while you were away and she did well, I thought he would die” he scoffed

My eyes went wide immediately, “Doctor who??”

“You don’t know her name yet? DR. DARLY MADISON chicken” he laughed and my lips slowly parted.

So Madison is the doctor?

The doctor seeing Zach?

No, this can’t be…I need to speak to her now.

“What is it?” Kevin asked me lowly.

“Nothing, I’m coming..i-I need to do something now” I said as I pulled my hands away from his and ran out my room ignoring his unfinished work on my arm.

Madison, this is not good at all.
