- Anne's POV -

I felt a cold hand gripping my leg that made me immediately look down to see a vampire showing his fangs, as he smiled creepily at me. I did not hesitate as I pointed my gun and shot his forehead. He died on the spot but I didn't care as I continued climbing again but suddenly, I heard someone calling my name.

"Anne!" I immediately looked to where the voice was coming from and saw Gabriella running towards me. I relaxed a little knowing that she's safe.

However, there was a vampire chasing her and so I pointed my gun at Gabriella that made her stop running, shock and fear came across her face. And when I saw the vampire about to lunge on her, I pulled the trigger and shot the vampire as he fell behind Gabriella.

She looked back and gasped in surprise as she turned to look at me again in disbelief. But then, after a moment she ran to me, I walked towards her.

"We have to get out of here!" She yelled the moment we got closer, because the hall was filled with screams which is why it is hard for us to hear, we need to yell to communicate.

"Where is Maive?" I asked but she just shook her head.

"I don't know, I haven't seen her. Come on Anne, I know the way." She stated as she ran without waiting for my answer.

I was confused by her but ignored it regardless, "Wait, Gab! Where's Butch?" I asked as I followed her as to where she was heading.

"I don't have any idea." She stated again without looking at me. She was more focused on our way out than any other things.

She was confusing, and when we were heading on the exit, I found two vampires approaching us. I immediately raised my gun and shot them in the head. They fall down dead on the floor.

"Where are we going Gab?" I asked Gabriella when we were out of the hall.

She stopped and faced me, "I didn't know that you're good at shooting Anne." She plainly said instead of answering my question.

My forehead creased as confusion covers me. "Where are you taking me, Gab?" I asked once again.

There is something wrong with Gab today, the way she reacts and the way she chooses her words doesn't seem to be her.

"Somewhere safe Anne, we should go. Come on," She said as she started walking again but with the action she was showing me, I cannot just be silent especially when she's heading to the woods. It is more dangerous there.

I quickly walked to level her pace and swiftly grabbed her wrist as I turned her to face me. "What's wrong with you, Gab?"

"We have to go Anne, or they will catch us." She said but her voice didn't seem like her, she must be sweating and fear must have radiated from her because of this chaos but her face remained calm as if we are not experiencing chaos right now.

"Tell me where are we going?" My voice turned hard and authoritative as I gripped her wrist tighter.

Her forehead creased, it seemed like she did not expect me to say those words and my suspicion was answered.

I immediately raised my gun towards her, "What did you do to her?" I asked coldly.

But instead of fear, she smirked with amusement in her eyes. "I also didn't know that you're smart, Anne. I underestimated you." She simply stated without fear.

I pulled the trigger as I aimed to shoot her in the head, "Where's Gabriella?" My voice was hard as my stares were dark in rage.

She smiled evilly and said, "In front of you."

I was shocked and terrified by her words but I didn't show it to her. "What the heck did you do to her?" My voice turned even darker by fear and madness.

"Kill her, Anne. Come on," She said while smiling evilly as she walked closer to my gun, pointing her head on the muzzle of the gun.

"Stop it!" I said as I pulled her wrist that made her out of balance. I immediately took it as a chance to strangle her down to the ground.

"Give her back!" I said while holding her firmly so she couldn't be moved.

However, she only laughed like an evil witch. "She will die... you will die with her!" She said while laughing.

That made me more angry than I was but I couldn't hurt Gab, despite the fact that someone was inside her body... she is still Gabriella. Only her body was being used.

"I will fucking find you bitch and kill you!" I snapped, damn it! Even though I wanted to kill this bitch but this is Gabriella's body, once I kill her body, her soul might not come back.

"What a word that comes from a nerd's mouth, who are you Anne?" She asked with a smile I couldn't decipher as if she found something amusing.

"Fucking get out of her body!" I exclaimed, losing my temper.

Once my friend's life is at stake, my emotions get ahead of me that I couldn't control. My heart is in rage and my wolf wants to come out at any moment. This fucking witch is getting into my nerves.

She laughed even more, "Don't worry, she'll be back, I still need her..." She stated as her face turned serious. "And you."

Suddenly, smoke came out from her mouth and everything became blurry. I don't know what's happening to me as my heart is continuously palpitating and my breathing is getting hard.

I lost grip on her as I laid down on the ground. I tried to catch some air but it was hard as my eyes became heavy. I could feel dizziness but I tried to remain conscious, however, as time passes it is getting hard.

What did she do to me? What was in that smoke? Damn it!

"Sleep well, Anne." Those were the last words I heard from her and I lost my consciousness.
