The Beta and some of his men left after the Lord's order, leaving their master in deep thought.

The Lord stares at the window, watching the outside as he tries to think of several issues in the Kingdom, despite it, the face of the woman he loves couldn't escape his head.

Damn, those kissable lips as she sleeps... thick eyelashes... and smooth wavy hair, added by her beautifully angelic face is very addicting. It was as if he couldn't get his eyes off of the girl as she slept last night.

However, his thoughts were disrupted when a man entered his room without his permission and he knew that it was one of his cousins. Dexter.

"You look upset," Dexter stated.

The Lord did not answer as he remained silent.

"You were not here when the attack happened." He added. "Where were you in the middle of the night?"

The Lord did not move from his position, "It is not my job to answer such questions." he said without glancing at his cousin.

Dexter chuckled. "You couldn't be enjoying the night when your territory is being attacked." He was provoking him. He might be the Lord's cousin but he was waiting for him to make a mistake. He was always looking for a mistake that would dethrone the Lord of this nation.

"I wouldn't make such foolishness knowing that you would be glad," The Lord answered. He was completely aware of what his cousin wanted. He wanted the power to rule the whole territory... which could only be achieved when he, the Lord, is dethroned from his seat.

Dexter laughed. "Oh, you misunderstood your dear cousin again."

"Your greed presents itself. Get out of my room." The Lord said as he faced Dexter with his eyes turned crimson.

Fear was evident in Dexter's eyes as he didn't think twice but walked out of the office room. He knew his limitations when it comes to the Lord of the Kingdom, otherwise, death awaits him.

However, Dexter will still wait for the right time to dethrone the King as he wants the throne for himself.

When Dexter was out of his sight, the Lord immediately called Allyzha, the head maidservant of the castle.

Not long after, a knock was heard on the door and he knew that it was the one he called.

"Come in." He firmly stated.

The door opened and an old woman came into view, she bowed her head in respect, "Your Majesty, you have called on me."

The Lord nodded, "Prepare my uniforms."

The old woman named Allyzha immediately looked up in surprise, "You will attend for school?"

The Lord said, "It's time she meets me."

Maive's POV

I still couldn't think of anyone who would dare to enter my room and leave a flower. However, with a lot of things on my mind, that would be the last thing that I would want to think about.

Before entering my class, I have set an appointment to meet the administrator once again. The same time was given to me by her secretary. I actually wonder if every student gets to meet the administrator because I have a slight feeling that her secretary is treating me way too nicely.

"I heard that you want to transfer to a different university?" Asked by the administrator as soon as I took a seat in front of her. There was her office table in between us as she sat in a swivel chair while staring at me with a hint of amusement in her eyes as if she was trying to read me.

She's been doing that though the moment I stepped inside her office.

I nodded, "That was actually my initial plan..." I said as I looked at the nameplate on her table, Mrs. Sheila D. Francisco, that must be her name.

"And? You seemed to change your mind," She answered. Mrs. Francisco is probably in her late sixties.

"Something happened and I decided to stay here." I politely stated.

"Then, what made you come here to my office again?" She crossed her fingers after running her hand into her glasses.

I smiled. "I... uhm... Do you happen to know my father, Zoren Underwood?" I asked after some hesitations.

She smiled. "I presume that you have a lot of questions about your father now that you came all the way here."

That answer... She surely knows who my father is.

"You know him." I stated the obvious.

"Well, your father is quite a famous student here." She stood up after saying those words. She, then, moved to a shelf behind her table.

After some moments, she stopped for a few seconds, looking through books that were arranged there. Then, she picked a particular book and went back to her seat.

My brows crossed upon looking at the book. At first sight, it was just some book about governance. However, when she opened the book, a small envelope was inside which she handed it to me.

I bit my lip and accepted it. When I opened the envelope, there were some pictures of my father and also some papers inside it.

I looked at the administrator not understanding why she kept such information about my father.

"Your father went missing out of the blue. I knew that one day, someone would come to look through his pages."

When I looked through the pictures, it was my father looking very much alive and young. His image looks similar to those that I found in the yearbook. I wonder why an administrator would keep a picture of my father...

I, then, browsed the papers that she had given me. I couldn't understand it... It was some sort of blueprint of a land and a drawing of some weapons. It was like a plan or something.

"Your father worked at the most powerful family of werewolves here in Astrid. He belongs to a team that invents weapons for security." She explained.

I went silent upon hearing those words from her. That does not fit the father I know of.

"So when he went missing, rumors say that he had betrayed his land and left to not get killed."

My lips trembled, my father betrayed his land? "My father would not do such things!" He might have kept secrets from us but he was always an honest person. Even when we were getting cursed in our village, he has never tried to do immoral acts. He just lived honestly.

She nodded. "I agree with you."

"Another rumor says that he had met a woman and impregnated her," She added.

Was it my mother? Why would my father leave everything that he had worked for, when he just met a woman? He could continue everything while pursuing a woman or building a family. That rumor sounded not true, too.

I sighed. How much more my father has kept from me? How much more that I need to discover to find the whole truth? He's a mystery that every single clue makes everything more complicated.

"Thank you ma'am, for telling me this." I politely said.

She smiled at me, "I'm glad I could be of help."

The administrator only knows that far. Aside from that, she has no information about my father. I left after our conversation. My mind became filled with even more questions after that. I just want to know my father but everything seems to be a mystery about him.

I went to the room for my next class after my meeting with Mrs. Francisco. Anne was sitting alone while reading a book I did not focus on, which made me ask her, "Where's Gabriella?"

They were always together so I am not used to them when the other one is not around.

"She just ran some errands. She'll be here in a few minutes," Anne answered.

I pouted and nodded. My day seemed to be a little quiet today. No one was trying to hurt or bully me... that's kind of a good improvement.

"H-Hey..." Gabriella said while she was gasping for air, she just came here by running from somewhere.

"T-The crowd outside is going wild," She said, still gasping for air. She sure has run to get here.

Anne and I looked at each other, not understanding what Gabriella was trying to say.

"Breathe first, Gabriella. We couldn't understand a thing," Anne stated, trying to calm Gabriella.

I nodded, agreeing with what she just said.

"3K's... They are here!" She exclaimed.
