Daxton's POV

After my father told me my next mission, he dismissed me for my training today.

I walked out of the training ground and started walking through the hallway, thinking about my life and the responsibilities given to me. If I could just run away but I can't, I knew that a lot of werewolves will only rely on the Royals and... I am the only Royal left to inherit the Kingdom. That is why I have no choice but to face reality even at my early age.

Sometimes, I envy those kids who could have a normal life... a normal family that I never had. Mom was too busy with her obligations as the Queen Luna, she's also handling some work like, going from places to places just to ensure the safety and status of each pack. She was helping my father because she knew that my father couldn't handle the jobs alone, mom is a very brave woman, in fact, she led a battalion of women warriors in the land as support to men to fight off enemies. Which is why I adore mom so much, looking forward to meeting my own mate that would also lead the pack with me.

I've also been dreaming of meeting my own... Queen Luna. That thought excites me, I have known so much regarding mates and I really wanted to meet mine.

I knew that I would meet her in the Moon Goddess' perfect time.

I just realised that I have already reached my room. I immediately took a shower. As the cold water poured on my body, I stared at the blood that the water had wiped away. Since the sword is a lot more lengthy and heavy, it touches my skin at some points. I have numerous cuts on my body because of it, good thing those were only superficial. It won't turn into scars.

After taking a shower, I went to my bed and looked through the window. The sun is still not setting as the heat enters the window. And so I decided to take a nap because later will be a long night.

I woke up and the night had come, I stood up and walked towards the window, I could even see the full moon that gives light to the darkness of the night.

Looking around, I took a deep breath... knowing that it's time.

I changed to my clothes, a black pants, black shirt and a black leather jacket which I knew would fit the darkness of the night.

I went to the mirror and checked myself, messy hair, pale skin and dark cold eyes... the child in front of me seems lifeless that has no colour in it. But I don't care, I was born to be this way and I cannot back out because this is the life that has been sealed to me.

I decided to bring Bella, my horse with me, added by a map and a single knife on me. This is the journey that I will go all alone, nah, I've been all alone my whole life despite the fame and power in the werewolf land, I was taught to be independent that he doesn't even want other children to get near me.

My father gave me a map to find where the cave is. He did not permit me to bring my sword with me, which left me only with a knife I owned. But he was kind enough to let me bring a horse.

It probably took hours for me to arrive at the place. Humans smell really nice even the air of their land that is filled with their scent but they do not have the scent that I have been wanting.

However, the cave seemed to be farther, it was too dark and the horse found it difficult to walk in the forest so I left it in front of the river.

Even at my early age, the darkness doesn't scare me. The cave was in the middle of a forest and it was a good thing that no one was around. As I increased my senses, I could hear some voices in the perimeter but it was far from the cave. But a part of me was curious at the same time confused because the forest was far from the villages, the cave is even farthest, how come humans could get here when in fact, vampires are just lurking around.

There's no doubt, a lot of vampires are in the land of humans, I could sense them, I even saw some of their leftovers while I was on my way. This has been their haven I guess because this place is full of vampire foods.

This is against the law of the supernatural, we should not invade nor touch humans or consequences will be given but then, I forgot that vampires are evils, they do not even care about their prey as they only wanted to satisfy themselves.

I might have invaded the land but then, who cares though, no one will know except me and my father besides this land has been a passage to the supernatural world.

Again, how come I could hear a number of people in the forest? What are they doing at this time of hour?

I ignored them as I headed towards the cave and when I saw it, despite the mystery and the different dark auras coming inside it, I fear nothing, looking at it blankly I entered the cave.

I knew then, that there are so many creatures hiding inside the dark. Now I knew why my father had brought me here, probably to give justice or just for killing.

Suddenly, I was out of thought when one of the vampires attacked which made my reflexes respond quickly as I slid his throat to his death.

I looked around and using my senses including the power of my night vision, I could see a group of vampires. Probably a dozen or more because there are also vampires lurking in the forest. I think my mission is to clean this place against the monsters of the night. Even though I also considered myself a monster, because everyone does, even my father.

This is not surprising anymore, after my father locked me up in a cell with a vampire before. I guess he wanted me to kill these vampires to prevent them from killing humans and animals around.

I smirked, time for a kill.
