"I'm heading out". Kapella announced after the Teacher left the classroom.

"Restroom? careful the Arrowood could be anywhere". Cindy cautioned.

"Sure.. I will".

"Should I escort you?".

"No, I'll be fine". She assured and left.

She bite her lower lips and students stared at her in the hallway.

She turned to the pool room and entered.

"Kapella". Nancy welcomed full of smiles.

She was sitting on the edge of the pool with her legs in the water.

"You have been here all day? ".

"Trying to clear the trauma off my head". She replied.

"I'm sorry you went through that because of me".

"No, Ella it's never your fault, that's the Arrowood, they try to get what they want without caring if they hurt anyone".

"Candy, what do you know about him?".

"You now call him Candy?".

"Isn't that his regular name?". Kapella asked.

"It is, All I know is he's different from the rest of the Arrowood, he's a friend and nothing more, he keeps his friendship in a hi and then part away level so I don't know much about him, keeps to himself like someone who's rejected". Nancy explained and ripple the water with her legs.

"I don't think you guys were like good friends".

"The Arrowood never have friends, if you get to the exchange of pleasantries level then you're really lucky and that only happens with Candy, others will use you for their personal benefit and dump you like a piece of shit, it's better to be their enemies than a friend ".

" That sounds scary ".

"Are you calling for an awakened friendship?". She asked.

"Is that a CCTV?". She asked pointing up.

"Is it always active?".

"Yeah.. Only goes offline after school closure".

"Is everything alright?".

"Yeah, My dirty mind was just telling me to strip naked and dive into the warm pool but I'm gonna change my mind". She lied and they laughed.

"If you still have intentions to, I can disable it for today".

"You're gonna tell them too".

"Um hmmm, I'm the boss of the pool or I could just grab some pliers and cut one wire or two". Nancy told and took off her Jacket.

"What are you doing?".

"I'm considering what you said".

"You know what I'm gonna use the restroom?".

"Don't be shy, I'm just joking".

"I know, and I also have a class to attend, see ya". Kapella said as she pecked her on the cheek and left.

"The pins really got into my skin, what if someone sees that in the footage?".

She hurriedly walked down the hallway.

"No, you can't do this Ella, what's wrong with you?". She complained approached the CCTV operation room which was different from the main base.

The Operation room manages minor CCTV operations in the school.

She inhaled heavily as she closed her eyes and took off her bracelet.

She felt that vibrated and could see flash images of a mermaid's skeleton.

She opened her eyes and her iris changed to blue for seconds and back to normal.

She pushed open the door and the operator on the swivel chair turned to her.

"Hello". She whispered.

Mrs. Elijah's words came as a big shock making her sit slowly on a desk with her mouth wide open.

"I know it's unbelievable and hard to take in, that's why I've kept it for so long".

"The hair, the craving for sea meal, the abilities in the water, I was a Mermaid all along". Kapella said almost screaming.

"I was scared you'll become evil, it's going to change you completely".

"How do you know that? How do you know I'll change, I'll never be evil, not for any cause, not because I'm now super-powered or whatever".

"Your Mother says it's beyond control, it makes you think a different way and do things6 not caring the manner you do it all because you want it done, I'm afraid it's gonna change you".

"And maybe if you just told me earlier, I wouldn't be singing or jumping into a pool".

"I'm sorry, I couldn't... I was frightened.....".

Kapella hugged her tightly and breathe.

"I'm never gonna leave you, mom, I promise, you're still my Mom even if you ain't my birth mother and now I have a lot of questions". She said.

"I know but I need to return to work, we'll talk about it later but for now, avoid jumping into a pool or singing you've exhausted the potency of the bracelet hiding some of your ability or it's just low like a battery and provoking it further will make it become a mere bracelet, that's what your birth mother said ".

Mrs. Elijah placed her hand on her shoulder.

" What's this bracelet for, what's do you mean provoke? ".

" The bracelet hides part of you, the transformation and the lust for sea creatures are what your Mom knows, it hides other things but she hasn't used it before to know, those two are the main but if you sing the bracelet fights the charm in your voice and when you get into water it suppresses the transformation but overdose will weaken it and it glowing was just a warning ".

" What if I take it off Mom, I'll be then extra careful than having a bracelet that can fail anytime ".

" It doesn't fail, you provoked it over and over again and now it needs to be recharged which is gonna take seven days, can you survive seven days without the bracelet? ". Mrs. Elijah said almost screaming.

" What if I can, I won't sing, I won't go near the pool, I'll just be extra careful, I can ".

" No, Mermaids thoughts are heightened, they think faster and crazier, you won't think like a human anymore, you'll heal if you get injured, your voice hypnotizes people letting you control them, and do you think turning to Mermaid is jumping into water, Just a little drop of water on your foot flesh and you get transforming over, can you survive all this? ". She asked and Kapella calmed.

"What do I do?".

"That's the right question to ask, you're gonna have to stay away from school for seven days while the Bracelet recharges".

"Seven what?".

"We'll talk about this later, I need to go now".

"What do you mean my voice hypnotizes people?".

" Be a good girl, I have to go now ". She said holding Kapella's face and she nodded.

She pulled open the door and they walked out.

" How may I help you?, if am right, you're Kapella Elijah ".

" Yes.. And I need you to do something for me ". She whispered walking toward a system that was displaying online footage of the library.

The camera was behind Ashley so she could see her watching something on her laptop.

" This place is restricted for students ". He informed and rose to her feet.

Kapella groaned feeling a slight pain in her head.

She now knew things she didn't know before.

Every single ability she had was flashing through her memories.

"I know". She mumbled and pushed him to the wall causing his heart to beat fast.

"You love the charming lips don't you, just keep staring like your life depends on it". She whispered softly as the upper and lower lip collide graciously in a slow movement.

The Operator swallowed the Saliva in his mouth as he was engrossed in her charming lips.

She sang and hummed loudly causing her lips to vibrate speedily.

The heart of the man beat faster and his eyes moved up and down in obedience to her vibrating lips.

He was losing consciousness as her hot breath hit his face and her lips that got his eyes vibrating, her voice was altering the configuration in his brain.

His eyes suddenly dilate and blinked blue for a second.

He stood still and she retreat from him.

"Seat". She commanded and he obeyed.

"I need you to delete every footage you have of the pool today". She whispered.

"I did already My Lady, Miss Ashley asked me to". He whispered.

"Ashley? Ashley Arrowood".

"To prevent the footage from leaking which can be used to nail her brother in court, she had me delete everything".

"That's good then, who else had seen the footage?".

"Only I and Miss Ashley, she has a copy, my Lady".

"What do you mean she has a copy?".

"She asked me to copy the scene of the incidence for her and delete every other which I did?".

"Shit!". She cursed.
