Chapter 13

I watched her walking away from me. Anger written on her face. I wanted to follow her but I thought I must give her some time to cool down.

I traded my seat with Sam so that I could be close to her. My wolf needed her scent. I needed her scent. I saw her scribbling something on her diary. I wanted to know whether she had written anything about me. I wouldn't care whether it was hate or love, I just wanted her to think about me. That is all that matters to me right now.

She was so surprised to see me near her. I felt her body trembled whenever I was so close to her. I could smell her sweet scent.

I thought of telling her about the werewolf thing but I changed my mind. I wanted her to love me first, to believe me. I was afraid of her rejection.

After the lunch break, we occupied our respective seats. She avoided me in every way she could. I was like an invisible person next to her.

“You know I was really bored yesterday.” I peeked at her while I spoke.

But not even a flinch from her side. She was preoccupied with her novel. She was smiling. She must have lost in that book.

The next periods were boring as usual. But since she was so close to me I prayed for the time to pass like a snail.

She looked so pissed at me. Still avoiding me. In the evening I followed her to the library. Our college granted 7 days holiday for exam preparation. I will miss her on those days. I couldn't go to her house either. I was afraid she might kick me out.

The library became my favorite place. I followed her there. I borrowed a book and faked reading while my eyes scanned everything she did.

Maria POV

I know he was looking at me. I was not dumb. He acted like a fool who followed me everywhere. My exams were about to start so I needed to concentrate. Exams were my main priority over that idiot who followed me everywhere.

I waited for my shift to over so I could get home and relax. I was granted leave for one week. That meant no more college, no more work, and no more idiots.

I finished entering all the details of the borrowed books and was ready to leave. I was feeling tired. I need to get back home and have a nice warm bath.

Mike was still following me like a lost puppy. I paid no attention to him. He tried to talk to me but I called Nancy to avoid talking with me. Nancy and I talked for several minutes. I don't want my classmates to know about my poor condition. I was afraid that they might bully me. The job at the library was a blessing to me. It was like hope when I was falling apart. I still hadn't had a clue about what Mike was planning with me. I was a coward to ask him. He already knew where lived so it wasn't a surprise for me. I ignored him and went straight to my room. I don't care what he thinks about my attitude.

I peeked through my window and caught him staring at me. His eyes were glowing with emotions. He said I was the girl he hated the most. He said I was dirty but was not disgusted to kiss me. But his expression was telling me otherwise. He disappeared after standing there for some time.

I woke up early to revise my lessons. I read my chapters again and again to memorize them. When I get bored during my studies I took a break and went out to feel the fresh air kissing my cheeks and hair.

I was trying so hard to get good grades in my first year. I studied till 11 am before heading to the kitchen to help my mom. We made a simple lunch. After having lunch together I took a simple nap and continued with my studies.

During the evening Nancy called me.

“Hey, Maria. Are you busy tonight? “ she asked me.

“I was revising my lessons. Exams are approaching. What is special about tonight? "

“Ohh I was thinking about going out and having some fun on the beach. Maybe we can go for a swim. “ she sounds so excited.

I chuckled “ Okay as you wish. I finished studying for today. Are you gonna pick me up”

“Yes absolutely. Don't forget to wear a bikini. “ she laughed.

“ I don't have a bikini. “ I rolled my eyes.

“Then let’s go buy one. Get ready we are going shopping. " I could hear her jumping.

“5 pm Maria “ she added.

I disconnected my phone and rushed to the bathroom to freshen myself. I put on black jeans and a yellow tank top and tied my hair in a simple bun. I did nude makeup to match up with my style.

I wanted a break from the pressure I was feeling regarding my studies.

Nancy came to pick me up in her pink scooter.

“Here put on this “ she handed me the helmet and gestured me to get on.

"We are going to get you a bikini, then to the beach, and finally for a night ride through the town. How is my plan? “ she asked.

“Great “ I laughed.

We went to a small boutique. I brought a baby blue-colored bikini. It fitted perfectly in my body like a second skin.

The beach was perfect with less crowd. I wasn't expecting many people since it was not a holiday.

We headed to the sea. The wave was cool, just perfect for swimming. We jumped into the sea and started playing with water.

Nancy splashed water into my body and made a face.

“It’s payback Nancy “ I screamed and splashed more water into her.

We played till 7: 30.

"Let's change and grab something to eat. I am starving " Nancy rubbed her stomach and cried.

“Let’s head to that seafood restaurant over there. I love their food. “ I pointed towards the Beach restaurant situated across the road.

We enjoyed our dinner and ready to start our next plan, the night ride across each and every corner of our town.
