Chapter 101: Chapter 101
After a day, I was immediately discharged. Daevon quickly got me a check up at the OB so we can get an update over my pregnancy.
We both let out a sigh of relief when I found out that our baby was normal and I was healthy. It feels like something warm touched my heart when I saw the teary-eyed Daevon. He was staring at the small monitor, looking at an image of a baby.
He looked at me and mouthed thank you with so much emotions in his eyes. I just smiled at him in return.
We ate first at a restaurant before coming home. As the gate swung open, I saw my baby running towards me. She gave me a tight hug and kissed me.
"I miss you, Mommy," she mumbled and embrace me tighter.
I hug her back with the same ferocity and kissed her forehead.
After she was finished with me she turned to glance at her dad and reached out her little hands to be carried in his arms.
They exchange the same imissyou's and have a little chitchat while on the other hand, I looked at my parents who were so worried about me. I smiled at them and gave them a hug.
"Thank God you're both safe," my mom whispered as she looked on my tummy.
My teary-eyed dad then patted my shoulder and planted a kiss on my forehead.
"You're really a woman now, hija," he emotionally said.
We're not used to my dad acting like this and so my mom and I laughed before hugging him.
"Thank you, mom, dad. You accepted me even though I disappeared just like that. I'm sorry," I whispered.
My parents then shook their head and looked at me with a smile on their faces. My dad caressed my hair while on the other hand, my mom touched my hand.
"You're already a mom, my child. I know how deep a parent's love is for their children," my mom said. "Nothing can stand against our love for you; even with all your mistakes and imperfection. Our children are not like clothes that when it doesn't suit your taste you can just change it," she added meaninfully. I only nodded.
"Us being your parents and you being our daughter will always stay like that. It's already engraved in a stone and it will never be removed even until death." It was my dad's turn to speak to which I also nodded.
A lone tear fell on my cheek. I fully understand them.
I might have been able to endure Daevon's disappearance but I don't can ever do that if we're talking about my children.
A parent's love is so different.
It was already lunch time when Azaia came in our house. She wanted to apologize to me because she wasn't able to visit me at the hospital to which I shook my head. No one was there to take care of Andrian so I understand it completely.
"You mean Andrei's the one who's been taking care of Andrian back then?" I asked, gasping.
She only smiled a little and nodded before drinking the juice that was served to her.
We're currently at the side of the pool and having an exchange of conversation about the past while my husband and daughter are playing on the water.
"Traitor," I said pouting.
She just rolled her eyes and chuckled.
My eyes accidentally landed on how she's laughing.
Tiredness were visible in her eyes despite laughing.
I only gazed at her for a few second before she stopped. It looked like she noticed me staring at her.
Her forehead knotted as she raised her left eyebrow.
"Don't tell me, I'm the one you're having that sort of feeling again because you're pregnant!" she said in defense. "Gosh! You and Cassandra are so hard on my bangs," she complained and brushed off her imaginary bangs.
I only laughed at her and shook my head when suddenly I remembered both of my friend felt the same about Azaia. Cassandra and I would act like we were at each other's throat; fighting over her--thinking who was she going to sleep with. After a while we were able to make an agreement where she sleeps alternatively until finally I labored. I them gave Azaia to Cassandra, insisting on my defeat.
"You're beautiful," I simply said and smile.
She stopped for a moment and stared right at me.
You can pass through it.
She averted her eyes after a few seconds and started drinking on her juice.
I know that she knows that I know something about her. But despite that, I choose not to force her speak because I can see how hard it is for her to open up. It's not because she doesn't trusts us but more likely because she has a weak spirit.
She cringed intentionally and acted like she would vommit.
"Hey, you're not my type, okay?" she jokingly said and we both towards each other.
It's just a simple stare but somehow I feel it that she's saying thank you.
"Your daughter is already looking for you." After a while, she changed our topic and pointed towards my family to which I turned to look at them.
I could see them laughing happily; it warms my heart so much.
"I'll pay a visit tomorrow, I'll bring Daeshaia also so they could play again," I said and continued watching Daevon teaching Daeshaia how to swim.
"I miss that, bitch. When will her ex-husband return her back to us?" I asked, pursing my lips.
"Ahmm. I think Andrei told me before that he didn't file an annulment," she said then shrugged her shoulders.
I groaned and stomped on my feet.
"I can't believe it! You already know about it but didn't tell me," I sulked.
She shrugged her shoulders again and shaked her juice inside her glass.
"That's not my story to tell so I shut my mouth. Besides you both didn't bother to ask," she mumbled.
I rolled my eyes which made her giggled.
You should have st least given us a clue! Tsk!
Just like what we planned, we visited Auntie's house and even went there late because I had a good sleep earlier--effects of being pregnant. (-,-)
When we arrived at the place, confusion was written on our faces. There not even one person inside the house.
What's going in?
The door was left open yet nobody was home. Daevon and I looked at each other; thinking that something happed while he was carrying our child.
I brought out my phone from the inside of my bag and dialed Auntie's number.
As soon as I called, a ringing suddenly engulfed the place. We looked at each other once again before following where the sound was coming from. We found ourselve going inside and stopped at the sofa in the living room.
Daevon was the one who pickrd up the phone and looked at me with a serious look on his face. I creased my forehead as I ended the call. I took it from his hands and looked at it. Base on the lockscreen photo, I think it was Auntie's phone.
Good thing there was no lockscreen and so we can open it.
I swiped the phone to check if it was indeed Auntie's until I was baffled by what I saw.
I stiffened in place and dropped it in the ground. I was going all over the place until I saw an undone message. I think she typed it on purpose.
We're abducted by Rozz.
